Complete waste of money

I've only given one star because there's no option to give a zero. Agree with everything that's been said. I didn't know that this was a different company - I just bought the stamps I was sold at the place I bought the cards. Two and a half weeks later the app still says the cards are on their way to the sorting hub and I know we'll never see them (or indeed the money spent on them and the stamps). I won't make this mistake again and hope others see these warnings and just go to an Italian post office to buy stamps.

A scam and a shame to Italy

Confirming this is a scam in the open.
I tried to send 2 postcards from Italy to France. The tobacco shop keeper didn’t inform me these were special stamps from a different post “company”. I figured out only too late and discovered the horrible reviews. Nevertheless I took the chance and now my cards are lost too.
I sent postcards from all over the world, including remote places in least developed Asian countries and this never happened. Congrats Italy for topping it !

This is a SCAM.

This is a SCAM.
I bought the stamps in Italy in a gift shop in Savanna.

The yellow postbox was outside the shop. Put one card in the post box. Sent another card in Orvietto. Not one card had arrived and the app just says “it’s on the way to the sorting office”.
There isn’t a sorting office. I wonder who comes to throw all the cards away from the boxes.

My little girl spent a while writing the cards drawing pictures on them. She believes her friends will receive the cards. The awful people who set up this Scam have a heart to take such cards and put them in the bin!

Shops that sell them should be ashamed of themselves.

SCAM!!!

I got 15 stamps to send postcards to my family in Brazil. I sent the first batch, and I was reading comments about these stamps so I decided to check the unsent ones - that are still here with me - and the tracking website says it’s on its way to the sorting hub. Unless if I work for them, I’m pretty sure these cards are not in the sorting hubs. Sad that I won’t have the time to go to a post office 😪 and that I wasted my money on this scam. Plus, the two postcards that I will never see again 😭

AVOID the GPS / GPN scam!

Avoid this weird scam! Here's what happened to me. On June 9, 2022, I bought standard Italian postal service international stamps for a dozen postcards from a Tabacchi in Rome, and after six weeks they have now all arrived in the U.S. On the next day for a slightly higher price I bought a dozen GPS stamps in a Castel Gandolfo gift shop that were supposedly for international postcards, and mailed them in a "yellow box" outside the shop. None of them have arrived. Following up a little back home in California, I bumped into a message that said "tracking App is not available in the U.S."

GPA stamps are a scam

I don’t understand either, why bona fide shops in Italy are allowed to sell these stamps. Unfortunately, I was stupid enough to try them on two separate trips and not one card out of over 20 ever arrived.

It's a con against tourists

It's a con against tourists. These aren't real international stamps. You can't track your items....and they will never arrive at their destination.

Do they just burn the postcards that you put in their orange plastic postboxes?

How is this legal in Italy?!

It's beyond me how this company is not taken down by the Italian government, yet. Looks like they just don't care. This is a scam. Tracking straight up doesn't work and I doubt that the sent things will ever reach their destination.

Don't fall for the Con.

Recently, My wife and I were visiting Italy on a short vacation.
I stopped in a tobacco store to buy stamps.
The guy behind the counter said "yes I have International stamps."
I was sure he had made a mistake when he only charged me about half the normal price,
but then I realized he had sold me GPN stamps which are totally Bogus. We never saw one GPN post box; and we are now waiting years for the last batch of GPN stamped post cards we sent to relatives to arrive.
I held onto the unstamped postcards and found a Poste Office the next day where I could buy REAL International Stamps.
I have been conned before but not again.
From Now on I will only purchase stamps from a Postal Center. You should do the same.
GPN stamps are the equivalent of throwing your money away. Don't buy them.

Don't use this service!

Don't use this service!! Tracking does not work! I sent a postcard from Italy to Turkey around 1.5 months ago and my postcard still didn't arrive its destination and I doubt that it will.

Verify you are buying postage stamps issued by the country's postal service

It is not clear when the shop staff sell you the "stamps" that they are not regular stamps for use at regular mailboxes. The GPS app does not appear to work and there are no contacts for tech support. Scanning the QR code gives no result--neither an error message or a status report. It seems like a neat idea, but execution is poor and you're best not bothering to send anything at all. None of the 7 postcards have been received. When purchasing, ask if you are buying stamps issued by the country's mint or actual postal service vs private company mail service stamp.

Scam

Scam. Fraud. Or simply mismanagement. Website doesn’t properly work. Tracking dysfunctional. This is NOT a postal service.

Tourist Trap

We purchased those stamps during our holiday along with the post cards in one of those touristic stores. The stamps looked quite smart with the QR Code and tracking option. The clerk in the shop did not tell us that the stamps she sold us were no official stamps of the Italian post. We were also not offered any alternative. She only said „put them in the orange post box“. Which sounded to us like „the orange letter box is for international post“. Problem though was, that we could not find any orange letter box. Nowhere. There came a flyer with the stamps, with a website on it. The web adress no longer exists. The QR code leads to an App which does not work properly, it does not show a single letter box in the whole of Italy. Looks pretty much like fraud to me. Either that or the company has gone bust and the clerk deliberately sold stamps that could not be used, to get rid of them. The Italian government should prevent tourists from such „companies“ i.e. „fraudsters“, after all this incident is like a scar on the Italian holiday.

Probably fraud service

Bought a stamp in Florence and sent card from the mailbox in the shop. After 3 weeks the card (to germany) is still missing and even worse, the tracking system is not working (web page has no function).

I think this is some fraud service (esp. when i see all the other reviews), still curious why they sell the stamps in shops in italy.

If this is not fraud then the system is broken. No tracking, no delivery.

FRAUD, BEWARE!

1,30€ for one stamp and the tracking website doesn't even work. You klick on "Go" after putting in your e-mail adress and nothing happens.
FRAUD!!!

Got fooled!

Nobody told me there were ‘special’ stamps and need to go in a different mailbox. At Milano centrale I’ve tried to find the mailbox for 45 minutes without succes. I finally found one outside of the station at a kiosk. It doesn’t even look like a mailbox!! Also the website is working terribly!
