🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 5/5

🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 5/5 – Brilliant Experience at Go Ape Coventry!
Me and my family had an amazing time at Go Ape Coventry! The staff were incredibly friendly, reassuring, and made the whole experience feel safe and fun from start to finish. What stood out most was how the team really cared about our experience, we felt supported and confident. The course itself was exciting and well-run, it would have been great to have done both of the biggest zip lines together.

Overall it was a great experience and can’t wait to return again!

We had a fantastic family day out…

We had a fantastic family day out yesterday at Go Ape Chessington, and I’d love to share our experience!

Despite being stuck in traffic and arriving late for our 12:00 booking, the staff were incredibly accommodating and kindly rescheduled our session for half an hour later — no hassle at all.

The course itself was well thought out, engaging, and suitably challenging. The team members were attentive and genuinely helpful throughout, which made a big difference.

Admittedly, I was one of the few who realised quite early on that the course wasn’t for me. After returning to reception and explaining my situation, I was offered a refund with no fuss — and it was processed smoothly, landing in my account today.

I may not have joined the treetop adventure, but I thoroughly enjoyed watching my family climb, swing, and leap through the trees like pros. They absolutely loved every minute!

Thank you again to the team — we wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Go Ape Chessington and will definitely be back!

no ideal for 6 year old party

It was incredibly frustrating to see a group of six-year-olds struggling to manage the safety clips without adequate support. They're simply not tall enough to handle the system independently. This raises the question: why have a height requirement if children who meet it still aren’t capable of using the equipment safely on their own?

Had we been clearly advised at the start that younger or shorter children might struggle with the clips, I would have accompanied them myself. That lack of communication made what should have been a fun experience unnecessarily stressful.

What was most disappointing, however, was the attitude of the on-duty manager, Alice. While the rest of the team made a genuine effort to help and find a solution, Alice appeared disengaged and even reprimanded staff for stepping in to assist. It was disheartening to see such a lack of care in a situation involving young children and their safety.

I strongly suggest reviewing your height policy and staff communication practices — especially when dealing with children — to ensure better clarity and a safer, more supportive environment in the future.

'Drop' in quality

This visit was a real shame. For context, I was a senior instructor for Go Ape at Alice holt a few years ago - I even did the training videos across the company. I decided to return now that my son was 7, to show him how much fun the course was, and to engage him in the whole point of Go Ape, which is adventurous spirit. With the addition of a new child friendly course 'Treetop adventure', I thought it would be perfect.

Initially I was happy with the reception at the cabin, and generally the instructors were friendly, but when it came to the safety brief I was bitterly disappointed. I understand that the system employed makes the route very safe for children (they can't really make a costly mistake), but there was barely any safety briefing, no engagement with the group, no fun. It comprised of a terrible mime performance, in which no child was listening because it was narrated by speaker. In the past, the fun of the course started with the instructor! This was a really poor way to begin what should have been an exciting experience. Poor show.

As for the course, it was really good, a really nice mix of crossings, but the lack of passing points for faster children made slower and more anxious children really pressured. At one point, my son was struggling, but I couldn't help him or pause and talk to him as others were behind waiting. I observed it a few times with other children as well. I think more should be engineered into the system to allow safe passing points.

More can and should be done. I won't return - we will just go climbing.

Please be very wary of working for this…

Please be very wary of working for this company as my daughter worked there for approximately 3 weeks ,she received 2 parking tickets of £60 each after providing management with her vehicle details ,they wrote to her saying that if she did not return the work uniform within the time scale which only allowed her two days by the time that the letter arrived which threatened her with a £350 fine .She even sent a polite email on the advice from the car parking company to ask Go Ape for some evidence that she was allowed to park there and they didn’t even have ghe decency to reply .I have also discovered an on line forum of multiple complaints from employees experiencing the same issue regarding parking tickets at Coombe Abbey Coventry. This is definitely a matter for Watch Dog to investigate.

False Advertising and Terrible Customer Service

As others have noted, Go Ape's customer service is appalling.

During the half term, I purchased two annual Net Adventure passes (on a bit of a whim) for my children, as it seemed like great value for money. However, after purchasing, I was informed of parking fees for my chosen site - Sherwood Pines - (£10.50 a visit/£74 annually). Whilst I was incredibly annoyed to be hit with an unexpected charge - and one with a high price tag- my children were looking forwards to going so I went ahead with my booking.

While we were there, the children had a nice time (for the first 30 mins), particularly my eldest. The session seemed long for what it was as there wasn't much to explore, given the high price tag. We left half way through, had a break, and returned.

Staff were friendly for the most part (only one small complaint that I was 'told off' for going down the slide while my two year old was still on it - I was going down to help him as he got stuck!). Otherwise, the staff were helpful and were on hand if we needed them.

After this inital visit, I looked to use my passes in the following week, which is when I discovered that the 'once a day' pass couldn't be used daily, as the activity was only open weekends and school holidays.

I complained to Go Ape about parking and misleading information and they were unhelpful (especially Sami) who accused me of 'missing' the information, whilst, at the same time, updating the website to include it. I progressed my complaint formally and despite multiple attempts to speak to a manger to resolve my issues, I have been completely ignored. This is unacceptable considering how serious false advertising is - and I have proof of the missing and misleading information. Luckily, Go Ape have agreed with me on this and updated their website to offer better clarity for future customers. I am, however, still £100s out of pocket.

Creepy staff who stalked and chucked out a whole family when only 1 broke the rules. Last worker had a bee in her ancient bonnet. So sarcastic. I’m wish they had on body cams. The lady staff was repulsive. If only the boss knew…

The staff were following people around looking for rule breaks. It was very creepy. They were following one family around after the man had broken a rule. Then they weren’t watching anyone else they were stalking a family. It was really creepy and I felt everyone else was unsafe. The lady worker was old with a hat on and the American/canadian stinks of BO.

It was our first Go Ape experience with…

It was our first Go Ape experience with Go Ape Temple Newsam, Leeds. I can’t express how amazing it was being there! We went as a family and Tom and Hope looked after us so much! They were nearby to support whenever we felt like we couldn’t do the challenges. They provided reassurance, gave tips and encouraged us constantly. Tom even respected my needs by even saying ‘Ma shā Allah’ after I took a step towards the challenge. The best part of being there was Tom and Hope, they are amazing and we need them there forever! Weekdays and weekends , we HOPE we can find TOM together. We will be coming back soon. We felt welcomed, we felt looked after and we loved every bit of it.

After I booked Go Ape

After I booked Go Ape, I wanted to change my booking and pay for a season pass instead. Go Ape would not accommodate this, because I had booked the night before. A lot of other companies allow customers to upgrade on the day and pay the difference for a season pass. Real shame Go Ape couldn't do this for us, considering I asked before the activity started via phone and when I arrived at the centre.

A great day out with lovely staff

My daughters and I had a great day at Go Ape Thetford today. The staff are all amazing and really put you at ease. I wanted to especially thank the lovely instructor who came out to me when I fell on a bridge and helped me in. We will definitely visit again.

I was not impressed with the customer service

I was not impressed with the organisation of the event and some of the staff at Go Ape Battersea. I took three 12 year olds for a session at 4pm. We were told to wait in an area off to the side and waited until after 4 for them to be seen. Even though we arrived early. Then I saw they had written 4:15 on our bands. We had come from Surrey to Battersea and were on a tight deadline. One person started the harness fittings and wandered off, another person came to continue then they wandered off. Finally a third person came and finished off the fastening. They left us waiting at areas with little or no instruction when we didn’t need to wait. I asked how long the event was and the lady said we don’t close until it’s dark. At one point I asked a member of staff for help and he said wait a minute. He talked to someone on his walkie talkie then completely ignored me. The kids were having a good time until we were told that was it, but there were still 2 loops left! After that the kids got behind a small girl who could hardly reach the line to get her carabina clip on! It’s like they didn’t even measure her. This caused a 30 minute delay getting across one line! They need staff to have exact roles and have more available to show you where to go next. We went to Battersea as the course was higher but after this I will only go back to the Chessington branch again where the staff were more friendly and helpful.

I went outside today

From the moment you put on the harness, it’s like your inner Tarzan takes over — except, you know, with fewer vines and more safety precautions.
But honestly? The zip lines alone are worth the price of admission. You'll zip from tree to tree, feeling like a superhuman... until you remember you're just a person who’s slightly afraid of heights.
The staff? Super chill. They’ll get you suited up, give you instructions, and then watch you scream in terror as you try to balance on a rope bridge. But they’re also really encouraging, so if you’re wobbling and considering a career change to the ground crew, they’ll remind you that you’re just one step away from being an expert in swinging through trees.
Pro tip: If you're scared, just scream louder — it’s not just for you, it's for everyone nearby who will appreciate your enthusiastic commitment to the experience.
You’ll leave feeling like a champion (or a very tired monkey). Can’t wait to do it again.
