A good introduction to Segway.
We completed the Segway activity. Very good team. Equipment was well serviced and maintained. I felt safe and a good level for first time experience. We had to delay out start time due to traffic and the call centre were very helpful and booked us into the next slot straight away. I only with the price was a little less as to take a family of 4 for one hour is pricy.

Been many times (probably 6 times with friends and family) and it’s always great but recently I am getting emails with special offer code but when you go to book it it says it’s expired.
The latest one, received 22.15 on the 30th March, went to book and its expired. Small print says valid before 30th March.
Really? You send an email at after 10 at night for a special offer that expires that same night?! This is the second time it has happened.
Is this some sort of a joke or your marketing people hasn’t got the use of a calendar.
I wanted to book again for a bunch of friends but I am close to being put off by this careless marketing.

Thanks for taking the time to get in touch Rumman and for sharing your honest feedback. As you rightly note the FAMILY15 offer in that particular email, sent on 30th March, expired at 23:59. The window you had to book was less than two hours - which we understand doesn't give you a huge amount of time. The same offer however had been included in an email distributed on 21st March. Being completely transparent the provider we use takes into account the optimum time as to when a customer is likely to open an email. It means our emails have a higher open rate and click through rate if they land at a time suited to the recipient. We'll certainly take this onboard going forward as our intention isn't to annoy or frustrate. Thanks again and we hope to see you for another adventure sometime soon.

Had the best experience at the Sherwood forest go ape, it is great for all ages my children loved it so much we gave rebooked for the summer holidays, Highly recommend.

Amazing employee!!!
Lovely site with plenty to do. Visited 21.2.23 for treetop challenge plus. My kids age 13 and 10 loved the treetop challenge. 3 trees in to the challenge plus my autistic daughter was frozen scared stiff at the top of a tree. The team were amazing, particularly the lady who went up to rescue her ( think her name was Yvonne but may be mistaken). She was kind, extremely patient and supportive, and coaxed my frightened daughter down. She never made her feel embarrassed, even pointing out how brave she had been and what a great job she had done. So grateful to her, she was amazing, Thank you.

Go ape was 10/10 but the car park was £12 for 3 hours and took 2 cars = £24 for 3 hours parking + £70 in cafe + £140 on go ape and still had the pay £24 car park? I asked the lady if this was correct and she was very rude and ignored me….

Went to Go Ape Rivington today with my 2 children (10 & 12). Staff were super friendly and really on the ball. Had great fun and a helping hand with the Tarzan cargo net. Loved every minute. Would definitely recommend and will definitely be going back; perhaps in the summer.

Excellent staff who cared for my son when he was frightened of the height and couldn’t get down
We visited Thetford forest go ape for the sundown session. My little boy became stuck and couldn’t move because he was frightened. Rowan climbed up and personally took him through the course and got him to the zip wire. Charlotte let him have 3 goes on the zip wire as this was the only obstacle he could do without being scared!! They were all amazing!! Thank you 😊

Fantastic morning at Go Ape, Temple Newsam
Had a fantastic morning at Go Ape, Temple Newsam, with my 10 year old. This was our first visit to Go Ape and we opted for the Treetop Adventure + course. The course had just the right level of challenge for us and it was great that we were able to complete the levels at our own pace. All the staff we encountered during our visit were friendly and extremely helpful. A big shout out to both Oscar and Saul who came to our rescue when we got into a couple of sticky spots - both were quick to react and gave tips to ensure that we had the confidence to complete the rest of the course. We went to the first of Go Ape Sundown session of 2022 Thetford
We went to the first of Sundown sessions this year I wasn't sure what to expect my kids have done indoor climbing before but I wanted to do something different. on arrival staff very helpful seamed genuinely happy to be there. we started just before the sun went down so the kids could see what was ahead of them as it got darker the woods are lite up in different colours it looks great. I had nothing to worry about the kids loved it best thing we have done in a long time great job go ape I can't recommend it enough

Waste of time
Booked a treetop adventure+ for my 10 year old son, had to wait half an hour for safety briefing, after was stuck behind slower ones on the trees just waiting. Staff was arrogant and ignorant, when asked he talked to other people leaving my son just waiting (he let other kids go, but ignored my son, when came to let my son to go on the line, specifically waited for other people to come, and asked them if they wanted to go in front of my son, but they didn't). Disgusting. There were 3 different lines available, managed just 2 in the time given (1 hour), just because of being stuck behind slow people and because of ignorant staff. Been here many times, last time my son did all three lines twice. Don't blame little kids for being slow this time, but last time there was no ignorant and cocky staff with no customer service skills.

Really enjoyed our afternoon spent amongst the trees. Freya's instructions gave us the confidence to get around the course. We were able to take the course at our own pace. Lots to challenge us as most of the group were fearful of heights; we achieved such a high after making it all the way round which lasted for days. Friendly staff, reassuring to have them nearby if needed. Beautiful location.

Great afternoon. At Rivington.
Easy to book on line. Staff realy friendly. Great fun on the 5 sections of the session, walking through the tree tops. bridges. swings, cargo nets and great Zip wires.
Training was good with out being over the top. Safe and confidant all the way round. Jacub was great with kids giving them encouragement and challenge. Supervising without them knowing it (which is a top skill).
Had to gave them five stars because they don't go higher !

Poor Segway experience
We visited Crawley go ape for the segway experience. Honestly, look and think hard on this before parting with your money. Yes it’s instructor led and there’s one very small opportunity to do a track without the instructor leading, however just before reaching this part and being released, the instructor pulled the slowest people to the front!! She said it was because she didn’t want them getting lost.
I don’t know if that is normal practice, but we felt it was a deliberate move to prevent anyone actually being able to gain any speed. I have put in a complaint about this but the response wasn’t really valid as it went on about protecting other park users however the tracks used were further in the woods and obviously if people were around, you would naturally have the sense to slow down. Our daughters have attended various other places doing segways are we’re shocked when we told them how over controlled this activity was. If all you want is an hour training, then this would be the place to go but, if you want a bit of fun and freedom, go elsewhere you won’t get that here.
We would certainly NOT RECOMMEND this experience as value for money or enjoyable.
In future we will travel a bit further for a better experience elsewhere.
Extremely disappointing 😒

Complaints of this nature are rare so we're equally disappointed to hear that you didn't enjoy our all-terrain Forest Segways. We're sorry to hear that you were left shocked on the day to find out that it's an instructor led activity.
We do try to be as transparent as possible on our website when marketing each of our activities however completely take on board your points. We do include videos of the activity which showcase the experience to give people a flavour of what to expect.
As explained in our email back to you reference slower participants, this is done so that they can be within a closer range of our instructors to provide additional support. In addition it helps them build and develop their confidence. For smaller sized groups, slower participants are also kept towards the front, as ultimately if faster participants were put towards the front, then the group may need to stop at intervals for the slower participants to re-join.
At Go Ape, we believe that every customer should have a great time and we are always grateful for all feedback from customers to help us improve the experience. We're sorry we didn't meet your expectations on this occasion.
