Worst customer service ever
Worst customer service ever. We ordered a vacuum cleaner over 2 weeks ago online and it was supposed to be a fast delivery.. they had given it to the courier next day after the order but the item had gotten lost at the courier's depot. For over a week we had to chase the courier company multiple times and call Godfrey's x3 times, email x5 times and request a resolution as the courier company said we cannot locate your item! And it is getting close to Xmas so no one was taking any responsibility. Long story short, Godfrey's was of zero help, they did not even bother connecting us to a manager to escalate even when we asked for. They kept on telling us, there is nothing they can do, and for as long as it takes for the courier to confirm the item delivery or lost etc they need to wait before offering any resolution. On the last email I even sent them the screenshot of the Consumers Guarantee Act that says they are obligated to resolve if items are not delivered within a timely manner but the person 'Damien' who replied, literally ignored the law. Never doing business again and won't recommend to anyone even the Hoover's themselves are good

Nathan and Ebony at Godfrey’s Townsville were very helpful and friendly. I was greeted with smiles. I came in with my vintage Phillips vacuum cleaner with a broken plastic nozzle which had disintegrated. Ebony told me that my vacuum cleaner was older than she was and we had a laugh. As I placed it on the counter the nozzle broke again so now it was in four pieces. Because of its age I could not get a genuine replacement part. Nathan did a bit of tweaking with a generic part and my vacuum cleaner is now as good as new. He even carried the vacuum cleaner back out to my car. What great service and so helpful. Thank you both and wishing you a Merry Christmas! And to your boss - what about a Christmas bonus for exceptional service!

They refused to refund, exchange or provide credit and all they had to say was it was "missing a part" which I was never provided.
As per the response from Godfrey’s - I was never provided this “part”, and the machine stopped working regardless of never having the part.
An absolute nightmare to work with them.

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e purchased a vacuum only 2 months ago and went to put it on for first time for a new store opening.

went to the store and walked in and before said anything the gremlin ladies said we can't help you?
Then continued to say they don't have technician on, we said you don't need technician to figure it out it's not working.
So rude these ladies they should not be in retail at all

Terrible customer service! Do not use this company.
I purchased a hoover stick vacuum from Godfreys Bondi Junction after being told it was an excellent and reliable model by the store salesperson. After using it only 5 times in a small flat the battery stopped charging. I took it back into the store as requested by the customer service centre and was told it needed to be sent away to the technical department.
I was without a vacuum for a month and then had to go into the store again to pick it up, all at extra expense to me in taxis and Ubers.
I used it only a few more time and the same problem returned. I called customer service to ask for a replacement and they refused.
I now have to be inconvenienced again and go through the whole process again not knowing if they will eventually fix the problem correctly or not.
It’s unacceptable. The customer service agent on the phone was rude and kept speaking over the top of me.
I will never buy anything from this company again and suggest if you don’t want the same issues to do the same. Totally unprofessional and bad customer service.

Huge shout out to Derek from the Erina Fair Godfreys store! Reluctantly walked in to seek a repair for my old Saba, after previous experiences of poor customer service by the 'old' team. Limited availability of quality vacuums on the Central Coast restricted my choice of store to purchase from.
To my absolute surprise this time this experience resulted in amazing satisfaction! Derek quickly ascertained my need and offered to order the part. He also shared the opportunity to upgrade with a new vacuum at a reduced price which resulted in a brand new replacement with a Wertheim Series 7! Without pushing the sale- I also purchased the Wertheim stick!! Staff have excellent knowledge of products coupled with excellent customer service!

They told me “Bought, it's bad luck, we don't refund your money, and they ask for a minimum of 3 weeks to solve your problem.”
Ah, but I said “It’s is manufacturing problem, it's under warranty” they don't exchange, they don't refund your money and I still they told me
”buy another vacuum so that your services are not interrupted".
Negligence, indignation and total lack of commitment and responsibility to the final consumer.
I bought a lot of equipment at Burleigh's Store and when I needed Godfreys' assistance, they turned their backs on me.
Don't waste your time and money with this type of company, in the middle of 2022 where companies have been concerned about customer service

A big shout out to Godfreys Hornsby for their after sales service.
Our vaccum cleaner had a blockage in the hose over the last month and each time the team took the time to clear it and double checked it before we left to make sure everything was ok before we left the store.
I'm unable to speak highly enough of the team they are professional in what they do but provide a welcome that made us feel comfortable and invited into their store.
I highly recommend Godfreys Hornsby for any vacuum cleaner repairs or sales. Due to this; we'll remain long term Godfrey customers for sales and repairs.

I bought a vacuum cleaner from Godfreys Castle Hills almost a year ago. Initially I was happy about how nice they were during sale process and the demonstration that their vacuum cleaners perform better than Dyson and ended up paying 700 AUD. The machine had an issue with the rod connection electricity. I took it to the shop who tried to send me to the manufacture. I have shown them the consumer law which clearly states the item needs to be taken to the retailer. They mentioned it will take two weeks maximum to fix “order replacement rod”. I complained that I can’t leave House unvacuumed for two weeks and that my house floors are carpet, and this can cause issues to my children, but they mentioned I must wait for two weeks. Fast forward, after two weeks, I had to the shop multiple times and each time they advise to be patient and the issue will be resolved soon. After I made a scene at the shop, they came clean that the spare part is not in the stock, and they do not have ETA to get it. I immediately asked for replacement and was told that I need to create a case with their customer care on the phone because the customer care ignore the shops. I spent hours talking to their customer care and the experience was much worse. I was shouted at, hanged on, called a layer about the two weeks’ timeline and that their standard procedures for fixing is above a month waiting period (imagine this for a vacuum cleaner!!), and yet again they do not have ETA. My request for replacement was denied and I was told to go complain to whoever I want. They do not care.
Bottomline is: Avoid at all costs. I am not sure how they are allowed to operate with no spare parts and sub-bar warranty coverage. I wish I had read the comments here before I bought from them. I have a complaint with NSW Fair Trading now and, I will not buy anything from them in the future.
Got two vacuums cleaners
Got two vacuums cleaners, 800$ each, The browns plains godfrey store sold us, didn't tell us half the things we have to do, said there was no cleaning, the dry vaccum does not pick up anything, the wet vaccum leaves a nasty mould smell, refuses to even put our vaccum back to check under warranty, They say nothing is wrong with it, but first time we took back they said was nowhere near to the demo standards, all of the staff at browns plain are rude, disrespectful, All idiot workers their say this same line, Well i have the same vaccum at home, ( sellers pitch ) If i were you Never buy from these scums

purchased a Tineco Vacuum (top of the line, over $1,100 Vacuum) from a Godfrey's store approx 2 years ago, since purchasing this there have been ongoing issues with it from compartments breaking, numerous clips breaking (multiple times, even after repairs) as well as major issues such as a faulty motor. I have been back and forth with their "customer service" team who by far, is the worst "customer service" experience I have ever had. They do not take accountability or responsibility for their faulty machines despite "consumer guarantees" they are rude, condescending and do have no empathy or care for customers who are going the ones facing these frustrating situations. I have reported Godfrey's to the ACCC as they refuse to support their customers and uphold their requirements under consumer law. Again, save yourself the time, hassle and stress and NEVER purchase from Godfreys
