Godfreys in Joondalup - Sold me a faulty Hoover Ultra Power Stickvac $299 & absolutely the worst Godfreys store

Godfreys in Joondalup, owner Romero is the most rudest & abusive person we have ever met. Sold us a faulty vaccum which I strongly suspected the box had been tampered with. After only 5min use there was a strong fusion smell and the motor wasnt sounding right like it was struggling to operate, the head wouldnt stay flat on the floor. After sending it back, customer service / repair Centre said there was a blockage in the motor. Returned it back to me but, there is still a fusion smell, the motor is still not right losing power quickly & the head still will not sit flat on the floor while vacuuming. I called Head Office, Mez at customer service & Jamie were ready for a fight rather than listening to the problem or offering an appropriate solution. Stating there is nothing wrong with the machine. Ah excuse me but didnt you tell me there way a blockage? I returned it back to another Godfreys store in Whitfords as instructed, the sales person, Daniel, compared my vaccum with one on display & agreed that mine was definitely faulty. I was asked to leave it there for the area manager, Cody, to inspect. When he called me he was also ready to fight, not offering a solution, also insisting there was nothing wrong with the machine saying it works perfectly that he cant smell the fusion smell, the head stays down on the floor & the motor sounds fine. When asked if he had spoken to Daniel, Cody said Cody was off work so he isnt able to consult with him. How convenient or just lying? Seriously? Are you talking about my machine? OMG, Why would I put myself through all this if there is nothing wrong with the machine!

All we asked for was a new replacement machine, not even a refund just a new machine.

Godfreys is not prepared to do anything & Cody told us we can go complain to the ACCC or take legal action, he doesnt care! OMG, how pathetic. There is a definite fault with this machine and GODFREYS DONT GIVE A DAMM! Im happy to dump the $299 machine and let everyone I know about the non existent & abusive service we received from the Godfreys Joondalup store owner and Godfreys Head Oftice! People go elsewhere, dont bother with GODFREYS THEY DONT CARE ABOUT THEIR CUSTOMERS OR PROVIDING QUALITY PRODUCTS! Obviously they're just interested in ripping people off! Guess what, I wont go broke by losing $299 and you know what, Godfreys and their employees wont get rich using these sneaky underhanded and lying tactics. Youll only bring bad Karma on to yourselves and I say may it rain tenfold bad karma onto you Romero, Mez, Jamie and Cody, you well and truly deserve every bit of it! Youre nothing more than condescending, sneaky, argumentative, lying poor excuses of human beings. Im happily going to your competitors.

I paid around $400 for goods they were…

I paid around $400 for goods they were to get into store. They did not get them, they will not refund. staff extremely rude. Effectively they have stolen my money, . Godfreys vacuums are thieves do not shop there, they cannot be trusted.

Abject customer service

I bought a bucket and mop set. The mop heads failed and began to shred. I returned them to either get my money back or a superior replacement. The first employee misrepresented my consumer rights saying that these were accessories and have no guarantee, the shredding was supposed to happen and that I have no consumer rights. He then kicked me out of the store. I made an online complaint. Godfreys told me to return them to the store. I did and the woman said she didn’t know anything about it. She said she’d find out about it. I said I had an appointment, would leave the items and a copy of the receipt with her and return the next day. I returned the next day and yet another employee had no idea about the problem. He even doubted I had bought anything from the store. I pointed to the mop set and my receipt sitting behind him on the counter. He still denied I had had a transaction. He attempted to ring his boss. Thirty minutes later, 3 customers walking out, him insinuating I was lying, me losing my patience, he finally returns the $29.99.
No communication book, no handover between shifts, no one actually doing anything, no head office passing on information, different staff (some very, very aggressive!), all for 30 bucks. I’ve bought lots of vacuum cleaners from Godfreys over the decades. Will never go there again, and I advise everyone to stay clear too.

Great Online Service

I wanted a new vacuum cleaner and checked what was available at Godfreys Online, I found a Bissell advertised on sale for $199.00 which was around the price that I wished to pay, I was also pleasantly surprised that it was also free shipping, so I purchased the "Bissell Bolt Lift Off Ion Cordless Upright Vacuum" and it was delivered promptly in good condition.

I used the Bissell vacuum cleaner today for the first time and I'm happy with this item, it does the job quite well, so overall I'm very happy with Godfreys Online, very convenient to purchase online, free delivery is great, I would certainly buy from them again and recommend this company for their good customer service.
