Visited Go outdoors Canterbury today. Looking for a rucksack suitable for an OAP!! Adam came to assist me. He was so knowledgeable about all the products and explained the pros and cons. Having chosen my rucksack, Adam helped fit it to me. I am really pleased with my purchase and the service I received.

Attentive staff and good value product

I came to store today to exchange my tent and was served by Jamie and Jared. They were very very helpful. I had lots of questions and they answered them all, gave me some good advice too! They seemed very knowledgable and friendly.

We have been into the canterbury store a few times over the last few weeks trying to decide on which bike my son would like for his birthday. We had spoken to JED and he has been amazingly helpful giving us time, patience and experience. His is full of knowledge and has been super helpful.

I love go outdoors, I shop there all the time. Yet on multiple occasions I have been overcharged for items on sale/ with membership prices.
For example yesterday in store I bought a merino wool buff, on the package it says £9, it was in a sale bin near the tills. After paying and seeing my recite on the way home I noticed I was charged £12.97. Has happened with other items too.

Just wanted to say that I had an amazingly positive experience today. Alistair who served me, his customer service was second to none, he’s a real ambassador to the GoOutdoors Brand. As a small business owner who prides himself on customer focused service, I was expecting the ‘normal corporate bullshite’ that you experience in most national chains but I was proven wrong not only by his professionalism but also desire to solve an issue with a product I’d purchased historically. 10/10. Will be using this branch again.

I visited the Canterbury store today and was served by Jamie. Honestly, the guy couldn’t have been more helpful. Absolute five star customer service. Super impressed.

I recently bought a Calibre Rake from GO Outdoors in Canterbury and wanted to highlight the service I got from Jed, the in-store bike specialist.

He was clearly very busy on the day I collected the bike, working through builds, but still made the time to make sure everything was right and go through it properly with me. That stood out straight away.

What I liked was his approach. No pressure, no pushing extras—just clear, knowledgeable advice and proper answers to any questions I had. He also helped me choose a few essential accessories that actually made sense for how I’ll be using the bike (helmet, lights, pump, toolkit and saddle bag). Just enough without overdoing it.

He even helped me get the bike carefully into the car, which was much appreciated.

I’ve now been out on three rides and the bike itself is excellent—really good spec, great value for money and exactly what I was hoping for.

Overall, a smooth, professional experience and exactly the kind of service you hope for when buying a new bike. Credit to Jed for delivering that level of support even when under pressure.

No hassle refund of trainers bought on line and spoilt for choice when I looked for a windproof/rainproof jacket and overtrousers.
