I was served by Sarah. She was friendly and answered my questions about the product I wanted to buy. She gave me good advice and I am happy with my purchase.

Plenty of choice in walking shoes. Assistant was very helpful and I left with a grwat pair of shoes at a really good price.

Big shout out to Lesley. Bought an OEX tent a few days ago for my son to go wild camping with mates. We struggled with the tent poles when practising in the garden and he had difficulty again when he packed the tent away on the hill. As a result a small piece broke off the eyelet. We rang to explain the problem and Leslie kindly said to return it for a refund as it’s clearly not fit for use. That is excellent service and is very much appreciated. There was no fuss whatsoever. We spend a lot of money at Go Outdoors and it’s partly due to good products at good prices but more so the service we receive from the shop. It was a shame about the tent as apart from the pole issue we thought it was a cracking tent.

Sarah was really helpful at the checkout and prompted me to get my members card. I didn’t have it with me but she then offered to search it via our home address. I’m so glad she did it and I got extra discount because of that.

Today I visited the Carlisle store for some walking boots. Gav was so patient and helpful. Lesley served us at the till and was absolutely lovely, we had a good chat! Thank you both for your great service 👍

A big shout out to Sarah who is always welcoming and makes me feel a valued customer, GO Outdoors need to keep people like Sarah, she's everything a retail store needs.

Regarding the store, I would like to see more North Face / RAB products. GO Outdoors has potential as Carlisle has no other walking store which is surprising due to the City's location close to The Lake District. For North Face & RAB products I have to shop online for a greater choice.

Customer service provided by Lesley in the Carlisle store was excellent. She was cheerful and helpful. The prices after becoming a member were very competitive. Great shop.

I needed some new walking boots and we were traveling through Carlisle. I needed a wide fit because of a problem with my foot. The young man at Carlisle gave me lots of advice and spent time explaining. I really appreciated his time. So a big thank you and the boots are great

Outstanding service and desire to go beyond.
I purchased a pair of Merrel running shoes but when I got home and tried them round the house the right hand shore was tight in the toe. Unfortunately I had put the box and packaging in the bin but I rang the shop fully expecting them to say sorry etc. The shop assistant went out of her way to offer a solution nd asked me to return to the shop. She then offered to exchange the shoes for a larger size but retain the new box. I accepted the offer and now have a fine pair of proper sized shoes.

Went in for a browse with the summer months approaching,member of staff dealt with my questions with patience and politeness.
Will be making some purchases in the next few days
