Fabulous staff who always happy to share their wonderful expertise. They have a great knowledge of the products on the shelves. Sad to see that the shelves are much depleted today due to a shift to selling own brands rather than some of the more high-end brands such as Rab et cetera
I hope this is just a short-term strategy in view of the marketplace, and soon we will have the store return to how it was previously

Excellent customer service. We came to find walking boots for my daughter’s gold Duke of Edinburgh expedition. Jon was so helpful and patient with us while my daughter tried on various boots. Thanks to the advice we were given, we purchased a leather Duke of Edinburgh recommended boot that has been so comfortable, with not one blister after the practice or final expedition - despite time for only one use beforehand! I will definitely be coming back here for my own boots and would go for the same type that we purchased for my daughter. Thank you!

I purchased some new walking boots yesterday following excellent customer service in store. Jon was helpful in helping me choose the right product for me. All staff were friendly and helpful and I will definitely return to this store again in the future.

I have bought two pairs of hiking boots in the shop - for me and my daughter. The gentleman helping us was friendly and patient. He also recommended what loyalty cards can be used to get discounts.

I'm going to give them 5 stars because the staff in the store were great. The lady was very helpful, had lots of knowledge and took her time to help me. But sadly the stop was very empty of stock even though they had just had a delivery that morning. I was very sad to discover that they weren't stocking some of the more premium walking brands. I have bought lots of my walking kit from this shop over the years, and some really good quality kit. But there is no Rab, Montane or Mountain Equipment which is a shame because its the Peak District I go to do my walking so I would have hope to have got the good kit there as I have done for many years. I hope they stock these products in the future, as they were often great buys with my discount as I no longer want Peter Storm products (which were great for me when I started in the outdoors). Anyway lovely staff. Thank you, Cathy I think her name was today.

Staff member who served us was very nice and helped us two days in a row as some members of our group were not prepared for the weather that weekend. There was a great affordable range to sort us out without breaking the bank. Signed up for membership for the members prices too, worth the fiver if you're buying a few things.

Helpful, prompt, attentive service. Very knowledgeable staff giving great advice.

Chuffed with my Merrell walking shoes that I bought in April and I haven’t stopped wearing since. The staff were so helpful and friendly, especially Nick who I chatted to for a while about local walks and the area plus he helped advise on the shoes. A lovely shopping experience. Cassy gave absolutely cracking service! Helped me select me boots and fit them to my awkward feet. Lovely to chat to which is a rare thing nowadays, and just when I thought she couldn't do anymore for me she sorted me some extra discount, as I am a member of a prestigious walking group and love to ramble. Would definitely shop here again!
