Great range of stock but customer service has room for improvement
Staff were all polite but there isn’t much help offered. I asked for a size of shoe but the chap then left me so if I wanted to try other shoes I would have had to look for staff which isn’t a great customer experience.
The store is well set out and stocked and is now the only outdoor shop in Leicestershire worth visiting

Looking for a new pair of waterproof…
Looking for a new pair of waterproof walking boots. As we were browsing we were approached by the lovely Phoebe who took the time to point out the ranges that fit the criteria. Once done she let us continue to look without hovering which allowed us to take our time without feeling pressured. When we made our choice she was very quick to bring out two sizes to try and we made our decision to buy. Phoebe was helpful throughout and made the experience a good one.
At the checkout we were helped by Josh and he took the time to help check whether out previous membership was still valid, shared a laugh, and wished us a good rest of the day. So from start to finish, a thoroughly pleasant experience.

Untrustworthy
I chose a bicycle but was told I could not buy it as the person who manned that department wasn’t in. We went back another day and purchased an ebike. In September I had an email to book my bike in for its first service. I rang the shop and spoke to the relevant person who said he was going on holiday for 2 weeks. I asked to book the bike in for when he got back and he said people don’t turn up if he booked them in. I said I would and he gave me the date of 6th Oct. We took the bike only to be told he wasn’t there that day. I could have left the bike but as I wanted to ask about something and didn’t know when I would be able to get the bike back I didn’t leave it.

We appreciate how frustrating it must have been to make a special journey to the store on the 6th October after agreeing a date, only to find that the colleague you had booked with was not available.
