GO Outdoors - Penrith Reviews 

I went to this store under the recommendation of a friend with a view to purchasing a pair of hiking shoes.
I was assisted by Ben & Michelle, who were most helpful, polite and very professional, providing me with excellent advice.
Although I didn’t make a purchase, I would be more than happy to return to this store to make future purchases.

Michelle was very helpful and helped me find the perfect pair sandals . Nothing was too much trouble for her and she made sure they were the perfect fit .

Went to Penrith Store to get daughter some walking shoes and socks. Assisted by Michelle who was friendly and knowledgeable and made several suggestions.

Michelle was such great help yesterday, she gave me a lot of advice which made my choice for a stability shoe easy. She is so brilliant at what she does.

We visited go outdoors for a new pair of hiking boots and were warmly welcomed by Michelle straight away!
She helped us find the perfect pair of boots, made sure they fitted right and gave us some very useful advice on how to keep them in great condition :)

Had my Bike serviced here by Phillip, nowadays I find it’s hard putting trust into big companies to get a proper job done, but here I had no doubt.
Phillip was very clear and professional with his explanation in what was involved in the services offered. I received updates along the way and told clearly the costs of parts before they were ordered/fitted. I could tell it isn’t just a job for him.
My bike is like new again, can’t wait to get out on it. Thankyou

Terrible staff training at the Penrith branch - was not informed at time of purchase that items such as Campingaz Canisters and Swimwear are not returnable under the 28 day return policy for unused resaleable goods.
Duty Manager Zara was most unempathetic towards RIGID Company Policy on such returns, merely stating that although it clearly states on the reverse of the till receipt that ALL unused items are eligible for a refund within 28 days, with no mention of the non-returnable items - Zara stated that l should have checked on the companies website for full terms & conditions.
If the Penrith till assistant 9 had stated BEFORE l paid for the goods in question that they were non returnable, then l would have been adequately informed and would not have completed the purchase of said items.
Duty Manager Zara suggested l 'phone Go Outdoors Customer Service on 03300081555 if I was unhappy with the way l had been treated instore at the Penrith Branch, l spoke to a gentleman called Usman how was at first sympathetic of my plight, then upon returning from an internal call to Zara, switched a full 180° and refused to offer any further support, other than to robotically state the official Company Terms and Conditions regarding refunds.
I believe my unfortunate experience with the Penrith Branch of Go Outdoors could have been totally avoided if the staff there had adequate training as to stating the non refundable items at POS and or these items where printed on the till receipt as Non Refundable.
All in all, a very unsatisfactory and unhappy transaction at Penrith Go Outdoors.
I hope this review is of help to other unsuspecting future customers of Go Outdoors nationally.

I was helped by Michelle in footwear. She was excellent, some of the best customer service I have ever experienced. I own my own business and this is exactly the sort of customer service I want from my staff. Michelle offered support at the start, was very knowledgeable and patient throughout, and what I was really impressed with was how she also let other customers know she was aware of them and would help them as she still was serving me. I loved the service, went in got some shoes the staff is amazing, I would definitely recommend go outdoors in Penrith they have everything for camping, going for a walk in mountains, and clothes which will keep you warm even in the coldest time of the year. Tony you are the goat

I popped in to Penrith store today in the hope of finding some decent walking shoes with the perfect fit which is not an easy task. Store staff were incredibly helpful and helped me choose a pair of Merrell shoes with Goretex. They fit like slippers!
I especially recommend both Michelle and Tony for exceptional customer service and really taking time to listen to what I was looking for. Their help was invaluable and I can definitely recommend their services.
