Dave at the Pudsey store was very helpful in helping me get whats needed for my sons to try fishing

Went in to buy some crocs and Kev was super super helpful!! Friendliest environment ever too, reckon I could ask Kev anything and everything about crocs 😆 Spencer and Oscar helped me out on the till too, my whole experience was super nice and friendly here

Visited the store today in preparation for a trip I am taking. Megan was extremely helpful throughout my entire visit, showing me a wide variety of backpacks and other essentials that I will need, showing me the all the best options. What a brilliant store with an incredible range of stuff. All staff were extremely polite and I enjoyed my experience from entering the store to paying at tills, will definitely be back.

I recently visited go outdoors in preparation for my university trip to South Africa. Spencer was helpful in selecting a head torch suitable for my trip, which I bought with a great discount using a membership alongside my student discount. Will be returning for all my travel needs!

Went into the pudsey store, was looking for a bike for my son for a Christmas present. Katrina was really informative and help me size the bike up for him. Also she offered to store the bike for him till nearer Christmas.

I was in store and I was helped by the manager katrina. I have been previously and she was so helpful and again helped me out this time. She was really busy but stopped to help with my questions. She helped me select the correct sleeping bag for our up coming trip in october and hope its super warm. It certainly feel like its going to do the job now the weather is turning and i trust her knowledge. Thanks for your help yet again.

Best value afternoon ever! Membership discount allowed me to buy a Goretex jacket and a beautiful dry robe for next to nothing. Staff members were amazing; Oscar checked stock over the phone and held the jacket back for me, another staff member gave invaluable sizing advice for the dry robe. I will be back very soon. The items are high quality and I will be using them both constantly.

I have never shopped on line or go into the store before, but i wanted some walking gear (boots, coat ect ...) as my partner is a massive walking fanatic! The boots i got online to pick up at the store were i was able to try them on and also bought a proper walking coat while i was there . The staff were so helpful and patient with me and my partner was also as didn't have a clue, can honestly say i would highly recommend it to anyone and the service right though to paying were second to none.

Ordered 3 wetsuits on 23rd July for click and collect. Went in store 24th July as needed the items quickly. Customer service desk said only 2 of the 3 were available. Asked if the 3rd was in store and they said it's showing there's 1 but if I can't see it, they probably don't have it. Paid for the rest of my things and as I was leaving, I remembered that they have items from the changing rooms on a big rail. Went and checked the rail, found the wetsuit I was missing, paid for it but it cost £1 more for some reason. Then left. Heard nothing about the missing item and no refund by 27th August. Emailed them, received a reply telling me I had to submit the query online. The query asked when I would get my refund, I didn't ask where my item was, I asked for a refund. Finally got a reply on 7th September telling me it was finally ready in store. Bear in mind summer was over. I said I had asked for a refund. Their reply was that I had to traipse back to store to ask for a refund! Nearly 2 months after them not delivering the order! The compromise was that they would ask store to refund. On 23rd September, 2 whole months since I paid for my order, my refund was processed. Not received, just processed. I spend a lot when I go to store and I also use click and collect. I won't be doing any of that again. They wonder why stores don't survive the high street but this was just ridiculous and each time they could fix it, they chose not to.

I visited Go Outdoors on Saturday and spent around an hour and a half carefully trying on and selecting several items. Up until reaching the checkout I had enjoyed the experience and was in a perfectly good mood.

There were two members of staff serving on separate checkouts. The young woman at the far right checkout, who had blonde or light brown hair, was patiently helping an elderly couple. Their transaction was taking some time but that was absolutely fine. I understand that processing memberships and customer details can take a while.

The other member of staff, who had long dark brown hair, finished serving a customer and saw me approach. She looked at me, looked away, closed her till and walked over to the corner of the store. She then stood with a young male colleague with curly hair while they looked at a mobile phone.

Meanwhile I continued waiting and a queue of around six people gradually formed. Everyone remained patient and polite. The member of staff at the far right checkout was still doing her best to help the elderly couple but nobody acknowledged the growing queue or called for the other checkout to reopen.

After approximately five to seven minutes the member of staff with dark hair finally returned to the till. Despite me standing within two feet of her I said hello twice and was completely ignored. I then said hello again and waved to get her attention. She eventually looked at me and replied very forcefully, “I did say hello.”

She had not said hello. There was also no apology or acknowledgement that she had left customers waiting while she and her colleague stood looking at a phone.

At that point I handed back the clothes I had intended to purchase and left the store. After spending 90 minutes choosing everything it takes particularly poor service to make someone abandon their purchase at the checkout. The dismissive attitude was worse than the wait itself.

For clarity, this review does not relate to the young woman working at the far right checkout. She appeared to be doing her best while helping the elderly couple. It relates specifically to the member of staff who closed the other till, left the queue to form and then responded rudely when she eventually returned.

A very disappointing end to what had otherwise been a positive visit.

Go outdoors as always been my go to place for camping equipment. Good quality merchandise and a wide range to choose from, The staff are really friendly and always there to help when you need it. 10/10 rated.
