I do not often write reviews but have made the effort to come on and write this as I received such amazing service from Bruce last week. He helped me pick the most suitable footwear/socks etc for my trip to Iceland next week…he knew his stuff and had very good knowledge on the stock within store spending time with me to show me pro’s and con’s of the options.
What a lovely guy…give him a promotion asap!!! It’s not often you get customer service like that anymore.

I went to the store with a list of kit…
I went to the store with a list of kit needed for my son’s climbing expedition to Morocco (he is climbing mount Toubkal. The staff were knowledgeable and helpful and pretty much everything I needed was in store. I joined the rewards scheme and also got money off my purchases.

Recent visit for a lot of outdoor gear
Recent visit for a lot of outdoor gear: a commuter rucksack, a pair of walking boots, socks and coat. Staff were friendly and helpful (Sue especially here) and personable, attentive and patient while I tried on shoes (Bruce especially here). Welcoming and relaxing in the store, not too busy or rushed. Enough stock for variety and comparison but not too much to overwhelm. Will go again!

Unclear pricing system. Not aware until I got to the till that the item was a lot more expensive unless I paid for a membership.
Helpful staff got me a National Trust discount which took the sting out of the membership cost.

I love going to the new Solihull store…
I love going to the new Solihull store it's local and convenient with hs2 building work around the m42 the Coventry store is no longer easy to use which is a shame

Help given in making a choice
I wanted warm waterproof trousers for a trip to Norway but all the regular sizes were too long. I am 5’4 so not tiny. The very helpful lady assistant in the Solihull store did give me advice and I bought waterproof over trousers instead. Shores lengths would be helpful.
Plus moving from this site to get the email code meant I had to start the review again!
