What a joke of a shop staff are clueless no one approaches to help you then the staff you eventually find don’t have a clue about products that the shop sells
I will take my business elsewhere

Honestly, what lovely people!!! - Andy in the footwear department knows his stuff, easily happily handling multiple customers all at the same time, giving great advice and Alex on the cashier desk is always super friendly and helpful.

Indifferent staff. Not enough choice.

I found some shoes in the metrocentre store but they didn't have my size in the colour I wanted so they checked they were in stock in Team Valley, which they were. I found them in the Team Valley store the same afternoon but they were £15 more expensive. I had a photo of the shoe and the lower price at the metrocentre but Team Valley refused to match the price. They are supposed to match the price to other retailers so why not their own stores?! The shoes were also cheaper at Millets online so I showed this to the staff and they refused to match it because that particular size were unavailable at Millets. All shoes are the same price no matter what size. If I had bought a different size, they would've matched the lower price. This is very unfair and very disappointing.

Whilst making a return of an online purchase and then subsequently buying some Bridgedale socks, I encountered two really helpful young men (customer sales) who were a pleasure to deal with. (Socks also excellent.) So, a very happy customer!

Julie was very helpful, patient and knowledgeable without being too pushy. When I asked about price matching a competitor she was able to accommodate. First class service. The guy on the till was also very helpful. I would use this company again.

i entered the store very confused about what i was wanting and John paul also known as JP , came up to me and my boyfriend and was very welcoming, helpful and knowledgeable. He was very considerate and at good at welcoming us and overall he helped me find what i was looking for . He is a very lovely kind man , thank you so much JP

Went to the Gateshead store this evening. Had a bit of an issue with my loyalty card not being recognised. Terry sorted this out for me without issue. I would highly recommend this go outdoors store, and Terry as an individual if you are looking at the fishing gear. Top marks. Thank you.

My daughter and I spent ages in Go Outdoors in order to find the right hiking shoes and rucksack for her adventure to New Zealand....Anthony and Max were incredibly helpful. They knew their products and helped us to narrow the search down to what we really needed. There was no pressure just genuine support and it was really appreciated. Thank you.

The first tent I bought was faulty and had to be returned
The store didn’t have a replacement
I ordered the second tent on line
I never received it after 8 day I called to be told it’s lost or stolen by the delivery company
I would have to receive a refund which could take 5-10 days and then they couldn’t order the 3rd tent I would have to do that myself
So very disappointed with the whole experience not only did my first camping experience get ruined and only last one night
I missed the second as I didn’t have a tent even though it was paid for but was stolen or misplaced by the delivery company

Highly disappointed I would find it very hard to use go outdoors again

awesome customer service, friendly staff who are very knowledgeable and happy to help out when I was picking out fishing gear, definitely recommend getting equipment for the outdoors here and highly recommend spending the extra £5 on the yearly membership as it pays off pretty much immediately.

I've just returned to coarse fishing after many years away from the bank and visited Fishing Republic in GoOutdoors Team Valley, Gateshead to look for a good, all round rod for both river and still water float fishing. Thankfully Darren was on shift. He talked me through the various options available in terms of quality, pros and cons, and price. His expert and friendly advice completely helped me to choose a fabulous new rod and reel.

I shop both online and instore. Your Gateshead branch is close to where I work. For jackets and fleeces I like to try them on, because I take a L or XL depending on brand and activity. For other stuff I tend to buy online. Staff at Gateshead are very helpfull.

I was served by Terry who couldn’t have been more helpful. He really took the time to explain the pros and cons of each item and made sure I was getting what suited me!

Easy to navigate website. 30 seconds and the order was placed. Super fast delivery and well packaged

Staff were helpful set up the bike. Helped to get it to the car.

I would just like to say how impressed I was when I recently visited the store to make a purchase for my BBQ.

The customer service I got from Kieran was excellent, a polite, friendly, professional young man who went out of his way to help me.

He is an asset to you and the company.

I wanted to leave a review for Terry following our visit to GO Outdoors on 5th August.

His customer service was excellent. He was incredibly knowledgeable, took the time to listen to what I needed, and really helped me choose the right tent for my family rather than simply trying to sell me something.

Thanks to Terry’s advice, I ended up with a tent that was perfect for us and had an absolutely amazing family trip away. It made a huge difference knowing I'd bought the right setup.

It’s exactly this kind of friendly, knowledgeable service that makes you want to come back. I’ll definitely be returning to GO Outdoors, and next time I’ll be looking for Terry again as I need some advice on fishing equipment!
