Good selections and excellent customer service

Click and service over complicated. Most items I ordered were in my local store in Grays, with the 2 other items coming from another store. I collected the in-store items, which were packed as if they were going to be posted, with the other 2 items arriving the following day !!! I also received numerous texts and emails from a courier company??

I hate having to leave bad reviews especially when it started off as a 5 star and so happy with the lakeside staff.
They didn’t have our tent in stock (due to needed a replacement) and the lakeside staff ordered it online for us to be delivered asap because we were going camping soon.
Fast forward to the reason I’m so unhappy - go outdoors use EVRI. And my parcel with tent and accessories included have gone walkabouts with NO update on delivery and postponed delivery times with no attempted delivery from EVRI or update from go outdoors head office team. So I’m now £500 out of pocket and a camping trip cancelled.

Tina was very helpful and knowledgeable about the different styles of walking trainers. She was patient, suggesting different styles until I found something that was a good fit.

Buying a sleeping bag and served by Harvey.
Harvey was very knowledgeable , found out my requirements and guided me to the right product.
He was charming, polite with perfect customer service rapport.

When I bought my paddle board from this store the staff went above a and beyond to help me . I did phone a couple of more local stores which did not have the product which also was on promotion but when I I called the Thurrock store they had it in and held back one for me to collect the next day .

It's great to be able to see the products in action. We went to the shop initially to scope out a new tent, saw it up and running, and came away knowing that it was the right thing for us. From that point, it was easy to pick it out, add the extra things we saw in the shop that we liked (comfy camping chairs), and buy them.

I had a great experience today buying new walking boots at Go outdoors in Thurrock. Serena was working on footwear today and was very knowledgeable, extremely helpful and patient making sure I was able to make a good choice. Thank you Serena

Charlton served us on the 2nd of May. He couldn’t have been kinder.
It was my sons birthday and he really engaged with him - asking all the right questions and showing us everything he liked.
We were shown some great clearance bargains but also Charlton knowledgeably showed us through the new seasons mountain bike shoes.
The persuasive power of my son and Charlton combined meant we bought them too.

Was looking for items for my sons DofE trip. Harvey was very helpful and gave lots of advice and help trying things out.

Great staff, really helpful and listen to problems, unfortunately they are not permitted to deal with membership problem and in particular removing pass members registered at my home.

Really recommend this shop - we had a very helpful assistant, Harvey, who really helped us to choose the right fitting backpack for my son’s D of E expedition. He was very knowledgeable and happy to spend the time we needed to get the best fitting bag for my son.
