Assistant Kieran was very helpful as soon as we arrived in the store, helped us to select a rucksack that is suitable for the purpose we needed it for. He was very knowledgeable and even fitted the rucksack correctly for before we left the store. He also helped to locate the sleeping bag at another store for us 😊

Paula’s customer service was excellent, very helpful in choosing the right product we needed, and patient as well.

Kieran and Glen (as well as other staff) are always attentive and helpful when in store. They are always making helpful suggestions when shopping for certain products, and are not invasive as to push you to buy things. Lovely store, with lovely staff.

Had to get walking boots for myself and my dad. Paula came to the rescue and helped us find the perfect shoe/fit for us both. Very helpful and provided a lot of good information. All the staff were very helpful though, I didn’t catch the name of one of them but she had a game changing tip for tying up shoelaces! Best shop in Trentham for anyone looking for walking boots and other outdoor items.

Always purchase my outdoor gear from here. Friendly welcoming atmosphere with staff who actually know what they're selling because they use the products themselves. There's a reason I keep coming back and the staff are definitely one of the reasons.

All the staff are really friendly and knowledgeable. The staff really take their time to ensure you get the best service and make sure you know all the options before purchasing.

I purchased a pair of Merrell walking shoes, having discussed at length with Niall my requirements. He was very good at explaining the benefits/drawbacks of several different pairs/ manufacturers. Nothing was too much trouble with no rush whatsoever. I also purchased a Berghaus logo cap and a pair Brasher shorts, unfortunately I picked up the wrong size shorts. Not realising until getting home.
I returned to the store the following day to exchange them for a correctly sized pair. Unfortunately my size was not available in store, I was offered various options by Cleo, A full refund, a voucher or the option to choose a different brand. Cleo explained this fully with no pressure to accept any particular option, (unlike some retailers)
I changed my choice completely having an entirely different item (it is being delivered within a few days)
This was sorted by Paula, again no pressure, no trouble, no problem.
I have again found that the staff at this location to be very approachable, knowledgeable, and most important to me having patience no matter how busy.
This to me (at over 70 years of age) makes a big difference when shopping.
I highly recommend a visit to this store the staff are a credit to themselves, their knowledge of products is good.

Went to the store 17th and 18th August I had to return some boots the staff and the manager were extremely friendly and helpful and made the whole process very easy I hate having to return items but they all made it very easy and helped me choose some more boots that were better for my needs. I wanted walking boots for feet prone to swelling. I was served by retail assistant Paula, who had excellent knowledge of her products, and gave good advice. I didn't feel pressured into buying and she advised me to walk in them in the house and to come back if there is a problem. I left feeling very satisfied with my purchase. Paula was very interested in my needs as a customer and is an asset to your company. I also bought the care kit that she recommended.

Mike the customer assistant was very helpful informative and very polite and a credit to Go Outdoors and deserves 5 stars.

However, the other employee there on 15/8/24 was unpleasant and doesn’t know how to speak to people. If Mike hadn’t of been there I would have walked out the store and Go Outdoors would have lost an £80 sale.

Member of staff instore was very helpful & gave good advice. Although the item (Berghaus sleeping bag) wasn't in stock, we felt confident to place order for home delivery. Prompt efficient delivery service. Very happy with product.
