GO Outdoors - Wolverhampton Reviews 

After discovering yesterday that my membership card was apparently not linked to my online account, (even though I have used it online before 🤷‍♀️) I made various frustrating and fruitless attempts to contact Customer Care at GoOutdoors to get this rectified. I wanted to make a purchase and take advantage of the online discount being offered on walking boots, so I decided to phone and see if my local branch could help at all instead.
The staff at Wolverhampton were amazing. Ann-Marie answered the phone and was friendly and helpful from the get-go. She understood my issue straight away and although she said they weren't able to link my card in store, she checked their stock, put the boots aside for me to collect later in the day, and also spoke with the manager, who authorised the discount that I was unable to access online!

My very inquisitive 7 year old and I visited the store on Saturday. The staff were exceptionally helpful, in particular the colleague who guided us to the swimming section and Jashan and Abi Y on the tills who had a lovely chat with my daughter. Really excellent service. Thank you!

I made a mistake when buying a flogas propane cylinder and discovered a few weeks later that my regulator would not fit, it was "screw on" rather than "clip on" I only discovered this after breaking the seal which made matters a bit more complicated.

I returned to Go Outdoors to explain the problem and see if it was possible to exchange the bottle. As the seal was broken this wasn't straightforward as there was nothing to indicate whether any gas had been used making it difficult to sell the returned bottle to a new customer.

I fully understood the problem and was very happy that the store manager found a solution by weighing the bottle and comparing it to other new ones. Once he was satisfied that no gas had been used, he authorised an exchange which I was extremely grateful for.

All the staff were very helpful and understanding doing all that they could to assist me, in particular John and Abiy..

The server Jo was wonderful! A couple of the items I bought were showing as more money on the till compared to the displays but he was very accommodating and was able to price match the items. Very patient and good customer service

Great customer service and product knowledge. I was particularly impressed with Ewan who was very helpful and patient and took the time to assist with shoe fitting for my three children. Sabrina was also really polite, friendly and helpful on the tills.

Visited recently revamped store. Good selection of various items for outdoor activities. Organised well and easy to find. Good quality and availability and with discount card good savings. Friendly staff and good parking.

Served by Ann-Marie who was extremely helpful. Went out of her way to check a price for us on some garment washing and waterproofing and actually found us a better offer under our membership.

Jess was friendly and helpful with my shop. She helped me pick the right gear for my hiking trip. Go outdoors has a great selection for hiking gear.

The store is easy to navigate and find what you’re looking for. Served by Abi Y today and she was very pleasant helping with reading the sizing on the socks for me as I hadn’t taken my glasses into store. She was also interested in me as a person asking about my day.

Abiy- served us on tills. She was so polite and patient when we couldn’t remember the address of our discount card. Had a good laugh with her. Great wa to start our Saturday.

Mark also answered all our questions about the oex tent box. Very grateful for his insight and hoensty. We will be back again soon .

Called onto the store for a coat for my grandson. The staff were helpful and knowledgeable. The refurbishment has improved the store. There is plenty of free parking. All in all a great experience. 10/10 from me.

I bought an OEX tent box, first the members price was fantastic, a serious discount.
Second, ALL the staff I encountered were exceptional, helping get it onto my car and in the initial discussing of the actual equipment.
Finally, a special thanks to Ade, who assisted in helping me fix and secure the box onto my car, getting wet in the process as the heavens opened. Top man.

I have my DofE expedition in a few weeks but luckily Jess W was there to help. She spent time with us going through the kit list and suggesting cheaper but still high-quality alternatives to suit our budget. Having done DofE herself, her knowledge and advice was amazing.
