Excellent service at the York Express shop. Really pleased with the experience overall. Prompt, clear, professional, friendly advice. Everything is well presented and tidy, while the store is convenient for anyone who works in or is passing through the town centre.

We were visiting York on Saturday…
We were visiting York on Saturday 25/01/25 it was a very cold day so my partner decided he needed a new, warmer, coat. We just nipped in to grab a coat, then to carry on with our random pub crawl.
We do not have the name of the young lady that served us, other than the receipt calls her "assistant 009" she was everything a sales assistant should be. Patient, calm, friendly, etc, we couldn't remember if we had a Go-outdoors card before, but she calmly entered a few postcodes with no quibble, and happily signed us up to a new card when our old one could not be found. In these situations I have found other sales assistants in different stores impatient and irksome, however assistant 009 was the epitome of perfect customer service, patient, knowledge and understanding. We would highly recommend assistant 009 and Go-outdoors York. We had a perfect retail experience.
