To update on my last review. I cancelled the subscription and they have still taken money from my account. The so called account manager has blocked me on WhatsApp and nobody else bothers to get touch because it seems it is entirely run by chatbots.

Our tutor, Joseph Kfoury was incredible. What a difference he made to our Son's A level revision for Physics and Biology.

The tuition was great and really helped my son with his exams. But trying to cancel my membership was a real task. The questions upon questions, why we didn’t want tuition anymore. Simple my son had finished his exams!
Thinking everything was canceled. I am absolutely horrified to see £344.90 has been taken from my account yesterday!!!!

Unfortunately, I couldn't find a regular tutor. I had complained but didn't hear back from gostudent. Some of the classes get wasteddue to tutor did not book them and also did not show on time. Sad on the service.

Tutor Liam was excellent and provided a great learning experience. Unfortunately, my experience with the company itself was very disappointing.

When I signed up, I was told the contract would last 18 months. After that period ended, I was informed that the membership had automatically renewed for an additional full year, despite not receiving any notification or clear reminder beforehand.

I also found it extremely difficult to cancel the membership. In my experience, the company continued charging after the initial contract period through an automatic extension that I did not knowingly agree to.
They do not send any agreement forms to sign it is only an email they send.

Aside from the quality of the tutor, I was unhappy with the company's membership and renewal practices. I would advise potential customers to carefully review the contract terms and automatic renewal conditions before signing up.

The tuition itself was amazing, however even though it was only for 6 months, GoStudent will NOT LET YOU CANCEL!!
They apparently sent me an auto-renewal reminder for another 6 months - which I totally missed - but as I never replied to it surely that is not instant sign up??
This feel like a scam.
AVOID this company. Customer service is not good either!!

Magdalena was kind, patient and professional. She was flexible when things came up and we had to change.
Above all she is an excellent teacher and my daughter came out with top marks.

He has been very helpful and supportive with preparing my son for his GCSEs.

Very responsive. Great tutor who my son can relate to. He is very happy doing the lessons. Lessons can be moved easily given notice.

Catherine has been more than 5 star.
She has helped my son learn, and form a positive relation with all three sciences, when others just made these topics too challenging for him. Catherine got to know my son and tailored her approach to meet his needs and he has been able to head to his GCSEs with optimism. I would recommend her to anyone considering support for their child.

Poor customer service. Avoid using and pick something else

My daughter has struggled with learning Spanish at GCSE level.
I have been pleasantly impressed with Go Student’s teacher Diana.
Working with her, my daughter has much more confidence in this difficult subject.
Even my daughter’s Spanish teacher at school has remarked on how big an improvement she has made since working with Diana!

Review for Ikenna Ezeuko.
He's always organised for lesson and and presents information clearly.
He studied a wide range of subjects such as all three sciences, English and maths and is more than qualified to tutor people.
Helped to massively increase my grades in many different subjects and explain topics in a way which made it make sense, boosting my general confidence for exams.
I would highly recommend him as a teacher.

Roland has been an exceptional tutor; helpful and kind but also very quick to identify problem areas and help with those.

Roland’s tutoring has improved my mathematics dramatically and boosted my confidence both in mathematics and for every subject that uses mathematics too!

This is not a single session review but a review based on the time we have been with gostudent. Roland has been excellent throughout.

STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY. Once they have your payment card details they WILL NOT stop taking money unless you pay a £200 cancellation fee.
Tutors leave without notice, unsuitable ones are used to replace them at times that don’t work for your child and the number of lessons you’ve paid for but haven’t received rack up and up and up.

Impossible to cancel contract, impossible to speak to anyone that can actually help you and if you manage to book a phone appointment they’ll cancel it shortly before saying that they don’t deal with cancellation requests so more and more money is taken.

A complete sham!

My subscription was renewed for £219.92 without any prior notification — no email, no reminder, nothing. I only discovered it when the charge appeared on my card.

When I contacted customer support I was met with a chatbot that flatly refused to refund. I then requested to speak to a human agent via WhatsApp and never received a response. No human support, no escalation, no attempt to actually resolve the issue.

To make matters worse, the GoStudent platform itself was so unreliable that we had to abandon it and use Zoom for the majority of sessions — so I'm paying a premium price for a platform I couldn't even use.

The only positive I can give is that my tutor was good. But GoStudent as a company is let down badly by its platform, its billing practices, and its complete lack of customer service. Would not recommend.

Easy to talk to and makes his student feel supported in the subject they are learning would recommend charbel to family and friends.
