Grate Fireplace Accessories Reviews 

Having struggled to find a grate for my rather small fireplace, I found one that looked right on Grate Fireplace Accessories. It came the next day, it fitted perfectly and it was far less expensive than similar grates I'd looked at online. And - a huge thumbs up for this! - it came in a cardboard box with brown paper packing inside, no plastic at all. Delighted all round.

The range and quality of their fireplace accessories was exceptional . I ordered a Matt black firescreen, coal bucket, fender and companion set.All arrived on time and certainly are an improvement on my very old, marked and difficult to clean brass.

Ordered, paid and received nothing. We have tried phoning, texting etc with no return calls or messages. Calls go straight to voice mail. Awful company and feel really ripped off by this company.

Nothing short of BRILLIANT service!!!!!! I ordered two replacement fire cheeks yesterday at 12.30pm explaining I had a very tight deadline to complete installation.

They did not have them in stock but, nevertheless, Jo made sure they were delivered direct from stockist today within 24 hours.

They really should give lessons on customer service and I cannot applaud Jo enough.

Oh my goodness! Where do I start. I stumbled across Grate Fireplace Accessories by chance and had my eye on a black 6 Urn Fire Fender for months.

So the first 5 stars***** goes to the quick delivery! I ordered the fender on Tue 29/10 and it arrived on Wed 30/10!!

Next the quality - it was really heavy and very well made, making it amazing value for money. Detailed/vintage looking fenders are not cheap!! Another 5 stars*****

We decided to spray our fender gold to blend in with other accessories in the room. The spray took to the fender like duck to water. We also managed to not overspray it so it looked too gold/shiney and it matched the fire grill pretty well. Another 5*****

Lastly a shout out to the lovely Jo who responded to all my emails really efficiently and promptly. I work in marketing and comms, so this type of customer service means the world to me both personally and professionally.

The customer service is outstanding. The order unfortunately was very slow in coming but that was because the courier was Evri who are very slow in the Highlands of Scotland. The tiles are great. My only gripe would be that although the packaging was excellent, the box itself was badly broken and damaged! I think for heavy goods it would be a good idea to use a stronger box.

Ordered from the company via the website - fantastic and easy. Had a query and the customer services were really helpful. Delivery of the goods were prompt - in fact quicker than stated. Had to return the fire parts (through nobody's fault) and easy to return

Credit where credit is due, they pick up the phone (so so many companies fail to answer - such a simply thing really) and then offer real customer service. Nice lady i dealt with.

Jo has been brilliant but does it take so long to get a response to simple question? ‘ What will be the overall length?’

This company were so helpful and efficient I cannot recommend them enough The girl on the phone went above and beyond to find up a fire brick to fit our woodburner and she was polite and efficient I will definitely be ordering any spare parts from them again

Recently had our first electric fireplace fitted with Grate Ideas. Doug was very helpful throughout the whole process from start to finish keeping us informed and up to date. Workmanship was very good with excellent communication. Just a small ripple on the wall from the fresh plastering job was noticed but corrected promptly with a second visit. Overall we are extremely happy with Grate Ideas and would definitely recommend.

Took a very long time to get a refund, the staff handling the issue was definitely incompetent. When placing the order I paid for an additional deposit with Grate Fireplace Accessories, to have also the return postage refunded, in case of return. The refund for postage (£8.40) was never issued, I was asked to provide an invoice from ENVRI which apply standard rates for drop off parcels, such invoices are only issued at the time of placing order on line, to drop off parcel. Obviously ENVRI's standard rates are easily accessible and shown on parcel which arrived at destination! I was refunded for the items purchased but I had to pay postage both ways!
