I Was quite interested as having old panels already had been wondering about whether to replace them, thank god for Trustpilot and all the reviews already had one bad experience with a so called green company

It is reassuring that there is somewhere such as Trust Pilot to approach for help and information. Received a to good to be true offer from this company. They will keep trying, so keep up the great work on Trustpilot.

Fed up of this scam company ringing me up offering grants when all they do is scam you out of money.

Received a letter today to the home owner saying their records show we have solar panels installed (we dont) and are eligible for a £4,000 grant.
I've no idea how scammers are now buying addresses but it's stupid. Don't fall for this scam.

Scam letter offering 'grants' for upgraded solar panels and claiming to maintain your FIT payments. The supposed company behind the Green Home Scheme does not exist at the given address of Topaz House, St Michaels Industrial Estate, Widness [sic – bit of a giveaway], WA8 8TL. Letter includes a QR code to scan and a code to input. Don't do that, obviously.

Unsolicited scam. I have had these kind of letters before and got one today addressed to 'The Homeowner'. I read the letter, including small print, checked their website and then Trustpilot. Letter has gone in recycling. Thanks to the previous contributors of Trustpilot.

Thank god i checked Trustpilot. I received a letter this morning and thought thats too good to be true. After reading the review and the tiny white writing in the green footer i can confirm the letter will be shredded.

SCAM. I reported this company in its previous guise to Trading Standards when they claimed that my inverter would be needing servicing. They are clearly deliberately misleading in claiming that FIT payments would be unaffected by increasing output. You can increase output on an additional system if you have a separate export meter, but if you upgrade your panels you will obviously have the same meter so you will lose your FIT payment. By calling themselves Geen Homes Scheme they are obviously trying to give the impression that they are some sort of Government scheme. Once Trading Standards get hold of them they will be shut down. probably to reappear under another name.

South Wales, looks very dodgy and I'm sure it's a scam as if you modify your existing system, you lose your FIT as far as I am aware. Avoid!!!

It looks like a scam.

I received unsolicited mail from them falsely claiming they can upgrade my solar panels without affecting my FIT payments.

When I tried to email them to give them a formal GDPR notice to cease processing my data and delete, the email bounced as the domain does not exist.

Offer too good to be true, false advertising, fake email address = SCAM artists. AVOID!

The letter include some very small small print in white on a green background as a footnote.
Fortunately I have recently been to the optician and could make it out.
It tells you that the £4000 'grant' consists of money off the price you pay them!

Do NOT touch this offer - they’re only after your wallet!

They used to call themselves 'ESE Group' but ran the same type of scam: a letter telling you that a 'grant' of thousands of pounds was available - all you had to do was to buy something from them. It used to be storage batteries, now it's super duper super-efficient panels. Before they were ESE Group they called themselves EVOenergy - then they were offering a 'Free Solar PV and Systems Check'.

SCAM! Letter received in County Durham offering a £4,000 grant. Small print on the bottom saying they received my data from the EPC register. Avoid

Scam has now reached North Wales. Letter seems almost genuine. How come the people behind this haven't been prosecuted since it's been going on for months now!

You can't change youe system and keep the same FIT rate!! Check your contract. I received a letter from this company- like many others reporting this scam. They claim they can get me a grant £4000 to change my existing panels to generate more electricity - and I would not lose my current FIT rate.
According to my contract I cannot change my system and get the same FIT rate. You can apply to have a second array but that has to be completely idependent of the original system, moreover, on a second system there is no FIT just a buy back from energy companies. I could not find any government grants available to upgrade systems.
Hope that helps others not to fall for this scam.
