Total scam. Avoid!

We received a letter today, and I was immediately suspicious about it, I googled the address which was on the back of the envelope which belongs to another Solar panel company. The letter has now gone on the fire.

Received a letter today. Looked for reviews on Trustpilot and glad I did. The only way these guys are going to help reduce my bills is by burning it!

The scam has reached Greater Manchester. Based on the posted reviews it’s gone straight in the bin. Don’t waste your time.

I got the letter today in North Yorkshire and my immediate thought is that it must be a scam as it's just too good to be true. I just can't see what's in it for the company - who's paying them? Just daft and hope people aren't taken in

The scam has reached East Lancashire now, got the save letter this morning and its gone in the bin.

Just arrived in Fife a few days ago, but as others have mentioned it certainly seems to be a Scam with a capital S

I received the same letter. Sounded good - too good, so did a google search. Looks like everybody thought the same. Best use for the letter is lighting the fire. MG.

Load of rubbish in the letter as others have said, don't go near!!!

They've made it as far North as Morayshire with their scam invitation. Too good to be true? Of course it is... SCAM = in the recycling.

Received letter (Falkirk) saying they knew I had existing solar panels and wanted to replace with "better" ones and I would get a £4k grant plus increased FIT payments. I am on the original scheme and would actually lose the FIT rpi uprates and FIT would dramatically reduce. Letter says in small print you can opt out of future marketing by contacting "the below address" then doesn't list any address. There is however an address on the back of the envelope this scam letter arrived in - it's Green Homes Scheme, Unit 5 Sprint Way, Speke, Liverpool L24 9AB. I think I'll take advice from their ironic address and "sprint [a]way".

I live in Perthshire. Just got the letter as detailed below. First thought - this looks too good to be true. Second thought ... the same ! Thanks to all the folks sharing below for confirming.

Looked too good to be true as a "Homeowner" in Renfrewshire, Scotland. Quick Web search confirms no such grants available. As an Engineer, was amazed I hadn't heard of such a miracle scheme to get more from what we already have on our roof! Avoid!

Now touting for business in Peterborough. This scam should be broadcast

Scam - expanded i to Norfolk now. There is no grant available and FIT payments will be lost!

£2,000 free money towards upgraded panels? 50%more free electricity to use at home? Plus, another 50% added to your FIT payments? Well... "haud me back"... as we say up here north of Hadrian's. To be fair though, I did enjoy some free energy as a result of this amazing offer... I used their letter to light my wood stove. Steer clear, they're crooks!
