Grubhub just canceled my Order

Grubhub just canceled my Order with the restaurant claiming something went wrong meanwhile the payment went through everything was fine I don't understand what could have gone wrong. Anytime I have ever used grubhub there's always an issue. The other apps a much better. I will never use Grubhub again!!

Delivery is never on time

This has happened for a few times. I scheduled a big order 4 days in advance to be delivered at 11:30, they told me the food would be there at 1:52. I ordered for a company, people do not have time to wait and why do I schedule order if they are going to be more than an hour late? The drive also called me and lied that they are picking up the food but the live map showed they are not even close to the restaurant. DON'T ORDER FROM GRUBHUB.

They steal your food

Their drivers will pick up your order and then cancel it. When you call Grubhub to resolve the issue, they have no way of helping. they just want feedback so they can improve. NEVER NEVER USE GRUBHUB. Useless!!!!!! There is a reason their rating sucks.

I’d give a zero if I could

I’d give a zero if I could. Single senior female traveling and not familiar with the area I was in. I provided address I used to book hotel reservation. Then I noticed on hotel stationery a different address and texted driver. The next text asked for the verification code. Then driver texted he left delivery at main door because all doors were locked. Well he didn’t deliver it to my hotel so I don’t know where he left it. I spent over 30 minutes w/customer support only to be told they wouldn’t give me a refund because I provided the code & the driver “delivered “.
I will never use GrubHub again. The customer support was totally worthless. Their driver couldn’t discern from my instructions that I was at a Radison. Defective system. DoorDash much more on the ball

Stay away from this service. NIGHTMARE experience

I’ve been using grubhub for years for business lunches and personal. A few weeks ago I ordered food for an office meeting. Despite the correct address being on the invoice, the driver went to wrong location and wound up showing up an hour late- after the meeting had already finished. Adding insult to injury, the food was cold. I called customer service and explained the situation, and asked for a refund. They told me all they could offer was a 5 dollar credit. Words were exchanged, and next thing I know my account is “terminated for violating grubhub policy”. All because they are incapable of taking accountability, and blamed my reaction instead of what caused the reaction. This business is embarrassingly bad and I want to share my experience to anyone considering using this app. Grubhub is a nightmare .

Some of the worst experiences

Some of the worst experiences. Between apps not working correctly and numerous issues with delivery of food, in customer service lacking, not sure what else to do other than avoid using them, which unfortunately means avoiding some good restaurants. If you plan to use them I would reconsider.

0 🌟 for the driver 1 stars for the empathy of the customer service representative.
First, the driver who arrived was not the individual listed in the app. The delivery profile indicated a female driver, however a male arrived instead. This immediately made me uncomfortable, as the person delivering my order did not match the information provided by Grubhub.

When the driver had difficulty locating my address, I calmly provided directions multiple times. Instead of attempting to understand the directions, the driver became increasingly frustrated and aggressive on the phone. He raised his voice and stated that he would leave my food wherever he was located rather than deliver it to my address, telling me I should come retrieve it myself.

Because of his tone and escalating behavior, I asked the driver to send a photo of his location so I could better guide him. He refused and continued to raise his voice, stating that he was not familiar with the area and that I should know my own neighborhood better. At this point, the interaction had already become very uncomfortable.

When I finally met the driver to retrieve my order, I felt extremely unsafe. The driver lowered his window and I attempted to take my food, but he condescendingly told me I had grabbed the wrong bag and commented that I should “not be so upset.” While I waited for him to hand me the correct bag, he began attempting to flirt with me, which was inappropriate given the situation and the prior aggressive behavior.

I quickly took the correct bag and walked away, turning my back so he could take the required delivery photo. I did this only to end the interaction as quickly as possible.

My food also arrived cold. I contacted Grubhub customer service and the matter was escalated to a supervisor, who apologized and offered a $5 credit for the cold food. However, the primary issue here is not the temperature of the food — it is the safety concern, the aggressive behavior, and the fact that the driver did not match the profile listed in the app.

This experience left me feeling disrespected, uncomfortable, and unsafe. I was working from home at the time, and this situation created an unnecessary disruption and distress.

I am requesting a formal investigation into this driver and an update regarding what actions will be taken. Until this matter is properly addressed, I will be deleting my Grubhub account.

I look forward to receiving a formal response regarding this incident.

I submitted on the app for a refund as…

I submitted on the app for a refund as soon as my food was delivered because items were missing. 5 days go by and I check to see if my refund was credited. Nope it wasn't, so I reached out to them and they were basically calling me a liar that I never requested it. That I only have 48hrs to request refund, which I did within minutes. They still refused to refund money, so canceling my account abd recommend people not to use them. They call their customers liars!

America's Mealtime Slot Machine

I don't know how they remain in business! They are late on deliveries, send incorrect food items, short orders and they DO NOT honor their late guarantee. Beyond a certain point you will be denied that. They are perfectly happy to see you lose $20.00 and never replace food items. Drivers get lost, leave food next door and drivers and customer service staff are rude and insolent. "Princess" in customer service is especially bad. When they say they are going to give you a credit they never actually make it. All told this is a mealtime slot machine. I predict they will go under by 2028,

I cannot take this service any more

I cannot take this service any more. Numerous times ordering and it keeps getting delayed for hours. Unacceptable. Beware! They do not care, they do not refund . Your order will get delivered while you are sleeping

Everything goes wrong every single time…

Everything goes wrong every single time I order. Only reason I tried one more time was because I had a $10 credit due to all the problems last time. Deliveries are always late, food is cold, driver delivers to wrong address. When will I learn not to ever order from them again?

This is the 5th time I've placed orders…

This is the 5th time I've placed orders with Grubhub and my orders were delivered to incorrect addresses. The 1st time I understood (a little) - I live in condo community and it was delivered to an adjacent building; 2nd time it was delivered to my home, not my work address although I made the change before I ordered the food. Today my order was delivered to my daughter's address (in another state), rather than my work - yes, I changed the address before I finalized the order.

Be aware of extra charge

My recent experience with Grubhub was very disappointing. My order was supposed to arrive in about an hour but ended up taking almost two hours with no apology. When the food finally arrived, I noticed the price on the restaurant receipt was lower than what I was charged in the app. I was overcharged by about $16. Customer service initially denied the issue, and after sending proof multiple times, they only offered a $5 credit. The representative was unhelpful and ended the conversation without properly resolving the problem. It’s not just about the money—it’s about being charged incorrectly and poor customer service. Be careful and always check your receipts.

I ordered from a pizza shop Grub Hub is AWFUL

I ordered from a pizza shop. My food was delivered a hour and a half later . It was cold .
When I asked the delivery girl what took so long , her reply was “ I had other stops and deliveries.”
I said that’s unfair that you’re not keeping my food warm. I was on the phone with the business that I had placed the order with when she finally arrived they were trying to call her . I said they are calling you my food is cold . She was standing on my front stoop said “ I don’t give a f@&k turned around and walked away . Unbelievable!!!! Made a call to Grub Hub they refunded my fee and I demanded they give me back the tip I gave the driver. ( she definitely did not deserve) I was furious they would not refund it to my credit card they would only give me a credit for the next time I order from them again. I told them I don’t want to order from them again or use their services and said I want it refunded to my card and he hung up on me . Ridiculous!!! Rude employees and rude customer service.

Avoid Grubhub at all costs

Until last week, I'd never been a Grubhub user. I saw an advertisement on Amazon notifying me that due to my being a Prime member I get free Grubhub + membership. So I attempted to place my first order. I chose what restaurant I wanted. It was only a few miles away. I picked my order and when I went to pay I saw a message that said "This restaurant is not accepting Grubhub orders". I was a little frustrated by that, so I chose another restaurant and went thru the process only to be told the same thing. I tested my ability to place an order at every restaurant nearby and none of them would accept an order. Today I decided to give it another shot. Everything went smooth this time. I picked the place, chose my order, and placed it. I was notified the driver had my order and was on the way. When the delivery time came and went, I looked at the map and noticed the driver was miles away and still going the wrong way. It was at that time I received a call from the driver asking me where I was. I asked if he had the right customer and he quoted my order. When I explained he was nowhere near me, he immediately developed an attitude and accused me of entering the wrong address. Just to confirm, I double checked and my address was exactly right in every location and on the app map itself my home was in the correct place. The driver proceeds to further accuse me of inconveniencing him by putting in an address that I've never heard of. Then he tells me to just cancel the order while he proceeds to go sit in a parking lot. At this point, I was no longer willing to accept cold fish anyway. So I attempted to manually cancel the order and it would not let me since the restaurant had already prepared the food. I then reached out to customer service and told them what was going on only to be blamed for entering the incorrect address again. After proving with screenshots that was not the case, they finally agreed to refund my money after my order was over an hour late. Grubhub is 2 for 2 on failures to complete an order for me causing me to then have to either order thru another service or drive to get my food which was not planned for due to what I had going on at home.
