I went into the East Lansing Guitar center pretty nervous because I wanted to try out some very nice guitars. Chris greeted me right off the bat and couldn’t have been nicer. He had me sit down with them for as long as I needed and was there to listen about my pros and cons of each. I ended up walking away with a Fender American Vintage ii Strat and I couldn’t be more happy. It was truly a wonderful experience, thanks to Chris.

When I made the order, it said it was in stock, which is why I ordered it. I was offered a five dollar coupon off, but no place to enter in the coupon code only a gift card or a synchrony reward. I have a synchrony card, but I'm unable to access it. So I didn't get the five dollars off and I wasn't able to use any rewards and then after checking out it said it wasn't in stock and would take 3 to 5 days.

Horrible customer service. Promised same day pick up on a stock guitar just hand me the box. Ordered at 3pm close at 7pm no word. I call and it should be ready tomorrow. Next time I’ll order from Amazon.

Great store. I wanted to order my guitar online but couldn't cuz I didn't have enough on my guitar center credit card to get the guitar I wanted. So I went into the store and they ordered it for me and I pay the difference in cash. Super helpful.

I recently ordered a pair of used Sennheiser XSW IEMs from Guitar Center’s online shop. The order was confirmed via email, but it was later cancelled without any explanation.
As someone who worked at Guitar Center for two separate stints at different store locations starting in the mid-1990s, I’ve seen the company’s decline firsthand. The customer service issues many people are experiencing today are symptomatic of deeper problems. The company desperately needs new management and a fresh approach.
I’d even offer my services to help turn things around, but I suspect I’m a bit out of their league these days.

As usual, the experience at the Guitar Center, Portland Maine (Store 540, South Portland) was absolutely top flight. My trade was processed fairly and efficiently and the deal was exactly as we had pre-negotiated. Matt’s expertise, and the store as a whole cannot be beaten at retail process. Managers Nick and Jess stayed in touch with me until Matt got back from vacation so that I was able to preserve my sale price. Matt is by far one of the most knowledgeable and thorough guitar salesmen in the State of Maine, and I am proud to call them my friends and sales team.

Had a real nice experience renting out audio gear
I just recently purchased a new Gibson J45 Studio Walnut Burst. It arrived in three days, It's probably one of the best guitars I've ever owned, The guy Nick that sold it to me, Was absolutely incredible, I took it Pensacola Guitar Center store, And the in store Luthier TJ. set the action for my playing style, and did a great job At no cost to me. I'm absolutely in love with My new Gibson J45, and Guitar Center. Thanks for always helping me make music.
Bought a product online and showed up to pick it up in-store, only to find out they sold it to someone else. The only explanation from the employee in the store, their 'inventory sucks'. I said it seemed like a scam, then none of the managers in-store could produce a refund receipt. Stay far away.
