I'm reluctant to the single star. I demanded repeatedly to for a breakdown of how costs were accrued. Refused every time. Once they have you they don't let go until they have drained every cent you have.

The guys came on time and were very well organised ,clearing up behind themselves as they went along. It was a 2 day job and the quote was competitive against other quotes we received. New boiler now in and working well ,very happy with the service many thanks to James and Callum and their "young apprentice" we will probably carry on using GWE for our annual boiler service because of this positive experience

Good workmanship but admin needs improvement
When our 23 year old combi-boiler seriously broke down early December leaving us without heating and hot water, GWE came to our rescue and soon fitted a new Worcester Greenstar 4000 boiler so we had heating and hot water in time for Christmas. We were most thankful for this and the engineers were well skilled, friendly and polite, and most importantly were prepared to discuss the job fully with me - that deserves 5 stars!
However, being midwinter with many customers needing attention and some staff unavailable because of COVID, getting the job completed was not as easy as I would have liked. Contacting receptionist staff and booking an engineer became difficult and the job was not completed until the end of January. Overall I am very pleased with the job, but some aspects of administration could be improved.

AJ / One of the great support I ever had … called @ 10:30 pm with a query about the boiler ….. at around 11:00 pm the Technician AJ called me back with great support offered a FaceTime call as well to help troubleshooting the issue , advised to turn off until a gas engineer check the boiler . For safety and zero Risk .

Excellent service from start to finish
I am so pleased with my new boiler and the excellent service provided by GWE. I first received a competitive quote from them about 7 months ago, but opted for a temporary repair rather than replacement at the time due to the ongoing pandemic.
Everybody I spoke with were so reassuring and accommoding. They fitted me in last minute when my boiler finally brokedown and they went above and beyond by lending us portable heaters until my heating was back on. The fitters were amazing and they have done a fantastic job! Thank you GWE. I look forward to booking my annual service in with you.

Unsafe Installation and poor customer service.
GWE fitted a boiler to my house, i told them at the time of installation that i could smell gas, they came back the next day to complete the Gas Safety Certificate and told me i was mistaken. 9 months later a gas engineer was viewing my property as i was selling it, he called the gas emergency line. they confirmed it had an "Unsafe installation" and had been leaking from both the test nipple and a poorly soldered pipe. They informed HSE under RIDDOR.
I have called and called GWE who are not responding to this issue at all.
After Care
New boiler and zone valve was fitted in April/May this year. Initial service was good. All arrangements fine and engineer turned up on time on planned day. Only issue was website advertised free carbon manoxide detector and first year service with every new boiler. On completion of work i e-mailed to advise that carbon manoxide detector hadn't been fitted. I was advised that this was no longer an offer and had been removed from the website. They did offer to send a carbon manoxide detector in the post but the service was the more important part of the offer and nothing was offered in respect of this so i declined the offer to send the carbon manoxide detector.
Now only 7 months on the zone valve is stuck between mid and water which means water is always heated and then the radiators seem to come on after as the bias is towards the water. This means i can't have just the heating or the water on.
I contacted GWE not expecting an issue but was advised that as the engineer that covered this area had left the company they were unable to help. I would expect that anything going wrong after such a short period of time would be rectified.
I raised the point again re the detector and the service as it is still showing as part of the new boiler offer - Mary advised me on this occasion that the engineer had forgotten to leave the detector not as previously advised that it was no longer an offer - i am now assuming that the cover is only available for local customers as Mary-Jane will not respond to my e-mails.

Due to a faulty and old Biasi combi boiler, I was looking for a new boiler (on finance) from a company which would represent value and provide a quality service. I did see numerous businesses online posing as "local" however after a few phone calls I realised they seemed to be national chains with little association with the area. I found GWE Southern, and completed a quote online, and then got an email back. I then had a visit from Scott - who analysed the property, confirmed the quote, and organised a date within the week for a new boiler to be installed. So far so good.
On the installation day, Ryan turned up on time, and did a cracking job with putting the Worcester boiler in, as well as talking me through the controls, and explaining what he was doing - I was so impressed with the quality of job, cleanliness and tidying up after himself - always ensuring he walked through the house with shoe protectors, showing ID on entry etc - just the little things.
Then, another person came out the following week as a courtesy but also to do a heating flush with a new magnetic filter that they installed. Matt was awesome, and did what he needed to do within a morning, again, explaining what was done at every stage etc.
Communication was spot on with this company, and the quality of work was equally excellent. If you're thinking of getting a new boiler then I have only got good words to say about GWE, and the fact they're only a 20 minute drive away is also a bonus. Top marks from me.

Replacement boiler installation
Having had a site inspection back in October 2018, I have only just booked for a replacement boiler!
Fabulous customer service (Thanks Mary😀). All very uncomplicated, and Mary did her best to accommodate the dates that I wanted. My previous quote was easily recovered and the original price was agreed without any adjustment for the time difference. Can't be bad for a price that was quoted nearly a year ago! Now looking forward to a nice new boiler and a warm winter!!!

GWE fitted a new boiler. The quote was lower than that of a larger company who quoted for the same job. All the GWE employees were helpful, polite, knowledgable and were very nice people. The job was done quickly and efficiently and our house left clean and tidy. I would heartily recommend GWE.
