Very happy with our turf that we just laid in the garden, customer service always polite when I called them and answer straight away, very happy :)

Great hardwood play chip product, accurate delivery and really great delivery driver, only missed one star as it would be nice to have a bull but discount for multiple tonne bags?

I was a bit worried when I wasn't able to get a delivery time for my turf and the voicemail message said that it would be between 9am and 6pm and that if I hadn't received it within 24 hours, to contact Hallstone via email. However, the turf arrived at just after 4pm and we were really pleased with the quality. Not all turf supplier's websites give you a choice of delivery date and some that I tried to call who didn't have dates never even got back to me. I absolutely recommend Hallstone

Brilliant experience in terms of delivering when stated and contact. Quality of product was good in the most part although top soil had lots of big clumps which I had to take time going through and quite a few of the rolls where cut on an odd angle or didn’t look to be the same batch. Glad I order 10% over. Hence the 4 stars as 8 weeks down the line I have a couple of patches of grass that look different. However it has all taken and I am happy overall and have recommended the company to others.

Despite four calls and one with a manager from day my turf arrived - one batch stank and was so hot it was already rotting. Three batches were largely ok, but with off cuts, turf with holes in it have to say you’d have to over order by 10% to get a good set. So they told me to lay it anyway, so I now have 20% of my lawn dead in the ground and rest looks like a patchwork of holes and blackening turf despite watering and care since laying. Still no response today despite ask for me to pay for the missing turf. New house - rubbish lawn and now I have to pay to lift up and replace!

After a week or so they finally came back and agreed to replace the faulty pallet and the turf I looking much better - few gaps still. Leaving at 3 stars for now as the trouble getting to resolution was too long, too much work involved and extra costs in getting turf dug up and relaid. I still hold that suitable QA would have mitigated against all the extra cost and efforts on both our behalf. Future customers over order is my advice and make sure you don't take delivery if the pallets differ.

Brilliant service I wish every company gave was as good as this. We had 88 sq mtrs of turf delivered they also put it down to the end of the drive for easy access for us. I’m absolutely impressed with the quality of the lawn. I would use this company again 5 stars from me thank you

Great response during C19 time, delivery was as expected and selected, comms were great and driver friendly.
Product has been town 10 days as is bedding down well with a Rowlawn Fertiliser product.
Now needs cut already!!

Grass is high quality and delivery was prompt and cheap! also got to select a day for delivery. Social distancing was adhered to.

Only one minor issue was some of the turf(1 or 2 bits) was really dry and fell apart (ones on the top of the pallet) ones at the bottom were alot better.

Came on time despite the current situation.
Grass is in a really good quality, thick and healthy.
Good value for money.

Unfortunately we had a terrible experience with this company. Ordered two bulk bags of top soil. This company has a unique model where the delivery is outsourced to a 3rd party. Absolutely no communication from the delivery company until just before delivery. Hallstone themselves have disclaimer attached to the order explaining that it is the customers responsibility that the property is accessible.The delivery appeared in an 18 ton truck and the driver felt that the property was inaccessible. The delivery company then decided (after perusing google maps!) that none of there trucks could deliver. This despite the fact that the house was built from brick and timber delivered by fairly large trucks and multiple trucks have delivered pallets of edging, bulk bags of stone and various other goods to the property. We were then saddled with a £60 delivery charge with nothing to show for it.
There are plenty of other decent companies out there so I would suggest buy with extreme caution from this company and read the fine print.
I won't be back in a hurry....

If I understand your response correctly, trucks with pallets of soil are far larger than trucks carrying bricks and wood for house building. I feel that its entirely unnecessary to send such a large truck in the first case at the customers expense. I would also suggest that you should post an actual picture of the truck in your disclaimer otherwise it is difficult for your customer to judge the difference. Better still just change the 3rd party delivery company to one that is more reasonable!

Good quality and value turf (50m2 ordered). Arrived in top condition. Delivery came at 12pm without having to pay extra for 8-1 delivery (usually £10 suppliment). Delivery driver was friendly and helpful. Just waiting for turf to establish.

Turf has now been down for 5 months so time to review. Delivery was first thing in the morning and turf was in good condition. Now turf is established, it is beautifully thick and weed free. Highly recommended.

Ordered 90m2 turf from them. It arrived as planned and in good condition. Very helpful on the phone and great price.
