Customer service or appreciation does…

Customer service or appreciation does not exist. Twice this week I've been into the HF at Power and Hampton in Mesa, AZ. Twice I've asked Chadwick for help. Twice he's been surly and rude and unhelpful, as if my asking for help personally insulted him. If he hates people so much, perhaps he should get a job NOT working with customers.

Charged 20% restocking fee on an engine…

Charged 20% restocking fee on an engine 4 days after the purchase. Beware HF can change policies and not inform you of the change. The website is not clear on the polices and refers you to an associate to tell you if it applies or not. Called customer service and they said the restocking fee applies to all returns regardless of what the website says. So the full refund policy under returns says 90 days full refund on returns if not satisfied is completely false and misleading.

I have never had a company Lie to my face like this.

My order has been sitting in their warehouse for 3 weeks. They flat out lied to me today saying it has already shipped. I knew this was false. I called the carrier and was told flat out by the carrier. Harbor Freight is lying to you. We have no record of your order because we have not picked it up. They made me waste an hour on the phone with continued lies that have already been proven false. The refuse to help and are holding $1000 hostage. I will never risk spending money here again. Their service is horrible. They lie with a smile knowing they are lying. This is unbelievable.

Friendiy & knowledgeable sales staff

The Harbor Freight Store in Sandusky, OH has the friendliest staff, they always greet us within seconds of walking through the door, offering their assistance with locating whatever item we are in need of each visit. The employees are friendly, knowledgeable and surprisingly honest about which products they would recommend

I went to harbor freight in…

I went to harbor freight in Duncanville,Tx 303 W. Camp Wisdom Road and the lady was named Aliyah she was totally rude. I did a return for an item that I purchased over the weekend and she had a BADD attitude, she refunded my money and sat it on the counter so I can count it myself. I was still nice and I said thank you, she didn’t respond back so I said it again and told her to have a nice day nicely because I sense the attitude. She just said likewise. Poor customer service 🤷🏾‍♂️. Harbor freight is a great place to shop because I’m an independent contractor and I have been going here for 10 years now but, the customer service from the young upcoming people is sad. It was 10 a.m and it makes any sense for you to represent your company or yourself in this manner. I will just pay a little more and just go back to Home Depot. Thanks Aliyah for ruining a good day and a relationship with a great business.

Today I called the harbor freight in Crossville TN.

Today I called the harbor freight in Crossville Tn. I asked the girl if they had any triball trailer hitches.
She wanted me to give her the scew number. I told here I was more then 36 miles away and wanted to make sure she had it before I drive 72 miles round trip. She refused to go and see if she had any in the store. I said to her " So you are refusing to do your job"? At that point I decided to just hang up the phone because this conversation was going no where. So from now on I WILL REFUSE TO DEAL WITH ANY HARBOR FREIGHT STORE AND I WILL TELL EVERYONE I KNOW NOT TO DO BUSINESS THERE AS WELL

Restocking feet calling me a thief

I went into the Newcastle Indiana week of grand opening. I purchased a drywall screw gun from harbor freight for around $50. I used it for about 8 hours and it quit working. I took it back to the store to replace or return. They did not have anything else besides that gun brand so I chose to re-turn it. They charged me a $10 restocking fee for an item that is broken. Does that make sense? when I spoke folk with the store manager He informed me that Harbor freight feels like customers buy items and then return them using harbor freight as a rental business. That's plain face calling me a thief. I make approximately $50 an hour it took me an hour to get through that process to be charged additional $10. I lost $60 for an item that cost 50 now why would I Spend my time so foolishly? I made a complaint to customer service immediately and they said they were sending me a $10 gift card. I did not receive it. I've made two other complaints that have nothing but a generic response. At this point the $10 gift card gift card will not work. I am very disappointed in harbor freight. One because I was happy they came to my town because I visit stores like theirs daily, Secondly, to be called a thief by somebody who stole money from me is ridiculous

I drove from Woodinville to Howe 99…

I drove from Woodinville to Howe 99 Seattle store to buy a Centech power pack that was on sale for $49.99. Pulled an identical looking box off the shelf. Manager said wrong model tried to ring up a 69.99 model. I asked him to check and find a 44.99 model. He was very rude and refused to look. Lots of people watching and very embarrassing for me. I tried the Bellevue store. Totally different experience! Very helpful, spent time looking, found a $44.99 model in store room for me then helped me find some saw blades, trailer hitch etc. Even though it’s closer I’ll never go to the hiwy 99 store again! It was supposed to go via USPS and everything online says it di. But the delivery information link sent me to a cheap-o FedEx service. Everything will arrive way too late for my project. And after they make the mistake, I'm the one who has to call back after delivery to fix it.

DON'T EVER PAY FOR AN ODER IN ADVANCE

Don't ever order something you want and pay for it. I ordered a tool cabinet, was told it would be about a week and I would get an email when it came. Almost 3 weeks later called to ask whether it was in, since I had not heard from the company. I asked for a refund of the purchase and was told no, once a purchase is made the can be no refund until it comes in, that's our policy, and it its on the receipt, and that is true, I checked. On the sales slip: *PLEASE NOTE: Orders can only be cancelled or changed after they arrive at the pickup store.* That seems to be true immediately after you place the order and have paid for it. Now it is more than 7 weeks and the order has not arrived, with no refund in sight.

Ordered tubing roller tool. Shipping to Hawaii. Paid extra for shipping. Handle for tool came, but NOT the main tubing bender…

Called HB. I asked for help. She said to return handle to FEDEX. I asked if they are gonna send a new tool assy. HB said “no”. We don’t ship now to Hawaii.

Will never buy anything from this business again!!!—

HB credited me $235.59 grand total for the lost tool is $305.54
A lost of $70… I say Aloha to my money. I just should have gone to the market and bought me a steak!!

I bought a large air compressor from…

I bought a large air compressor from them. The start capacitor was bad from day one, so the motor would not work unless you had no pressure in the tank. I took it back for an exchange and they charged me a 35% restocking charge. I said, I don't want to return it, I just want one that works. They still insisted on the charge. So I returned it and vowed never to buy from them again. I still buy small things from them, but never anything with a motor. I sent a complaint to corporate, but got no response.

Lost customer

They emailed me then sent me text messages to use their 25% off coupon on any one item.so i went and loaded up a 3 ton jack car wax buffer pads zip ties and hold down straps, when i checked out i said i have a coupon for the jack cashier said cant use it on that,she called manager who said you cant use it on jacks tool boxes or generators, so i said goodbye never to return and purchased a jack on Amazon.

Don't believe the "No interest charged EVER"

I went in on 02/15/2023 to look at generators. The employee (who was very nice), talked me into joining the 'inside track' club. She said it would save me $120.00 on the Predator 5000 inverter generator if I did. I used my Harbor Freight credit card.
All was fine till I looked at my account and saw they (Synchrony bank -- same bank Lowe's uses) charged me $22.89 in interest. I went on line to 'live-chat' with one of their people. What a lot of fun that was. That was after calling 3 times and reaching people I couldn't understand. He informed me I got a $50.00 voucher INSTEAD of the 0% interest "EVER" that they advertised. He informed me that was my two options and they had already mailed me the vouchers for $50.00. Ergo, I would be paying interest that would far exceed the $50.00 voucher over the duration. I took the unopened box back to Harbor Freight. The cashier (who was very nice), told be they usually charge a 20% restocking fee, but she would get authorization to forego it, since the box was unopened. They had already taken $100. out of my checking account, since I had it set up for auto pay. Long-story-short... They kept my $100.00 but charged me the $22.89 in interest for that one month and I now have a credit of $47.15 (keeping in mind I returned it -- unopened). Will I shop at Harbor Freight again? Probably. But I won't be using their credit card. I could have used my other credit card and got 2% back on the purchase of $986.54 -- not paying them $22.89 for just one month worth of interest.

I purchased a sump pump on 1/13/24 only…

I purchased a sump pump on 1/13/24 only to realize pump box was all ready opened, pump had water in it and dirt around outside of pump. Upon return was told I need to the number on sales slip for return . They did tell me It was not reruturnable at store at purchase. This pump was a used item. I have had great service in the past. Thank you

Defective is defective

Opened a packaged combination lock to use. The first time the combination worked, never again after that. Tried to return to the store and was told I was out of the 90 window for returns by store manager, when I explained that I had just opened the package he said that it did not matter. I told him it did matter, defective is defective. Then he has the audacity in front of customers to say I probably abused the lock!
All while all the customers are looking at the back of my T shirt that has a huge screaming eagle of the 101st Airborne on it. Not looking to be treated differently than anyone else, but come on, have the self awareness to not accuse a veteran of doing something wrong in front of an audience.

Great alternative to expensive tool trucks

Great alternative to expensive tools or mail order tools. I've been using them for years and am very happy. Their new line of Icon tools are great! I have many snap on tools and icon is right up there in quality but for a third of the price.
