Cancels insurance with no notice
Cancels insurance with no written notice or email or text
Customer services arrogant - managers meant to phone back and don't, lie through their teeth
Complaints department useless and have written off any concerns
Look deeper and you'll see this is a common occurrence lately despite what this site might say
This happened to a customer of half a decade so don't waste your time and money with this emmbarssment of a company.

We normally cancel a policy when the conditions of your insurance haven’t been met. You should’ve received a few notifications weeks in advance informing you what needed to be done to prevent the cancellation and when it would be cancelled if those actions weren't taken. We’re sorry if you didn’t see these.
If you have raised a formal complaint with us and the outcome wasn't what you hoped for you can escalate this further with the Financial Ombudsman. Had great experience with Hastings Direct. I use them for car & motorcycle insurance and it’s always clear and easy to get the right policy.
I would throughly recommend Hastings Direct.
They may not alway be the cheapest but I believe you do get what you pay for, (they are also not the most expensive).

Easy to tailor, good price
good price and easy to add/remove extras to tailor your policy. Downside, giving it 4 not 5 stars is the requirement to give access to your travel and location data for 30 days. I still would have bought this policy but woulda been nice to know from outset.... Privacy reasons, that's why I didn't accept your unnecessary cookies!

Had some problems getting the website to accept me/my details. Not sure if this was you or me!
After a bit of a wait managed to speak to an actual person - get rid of the robots they’re a waste of time - who was very helpful.
Everything took approx 1 hour or in total, but very happy if the deal I received.

Not the best company i have three cars insured with them and one which i had to make a claim on we got messed about with the repair only just got car back over two months after the claim was made put in a complaint and nothing i do not recommend to anyone
