Terrible experience with this estate agent.
Great at getting you locked in for as much as they can, but trying to get out with your deposit is hard. Flat was cleaned perfectly however the agent got their independent mate round to sign it off and decided hundreds of pounds from the deposit was missing and dirty. This was just not the case and they have insufficient actual evidence.

Deposit got locked into the deposit protection scheme as the agent would not engage in the process...special shout out to Louise on this sly play. Dodgy business practices on full display.
Avoid like the plague even in this desperate housing market.

Really helpful in managing the property, trust worthy

Hastings are one of the worst estate agents I've experienced in London. They came up with spurious charges to trap as much of my deposit as possible (for example, charging us for removing cutlery that they had previously allowed us to. When I responded to the charges with a detailed explanation, they simply did not respond to me for several weeks at which point they indirectly informed us that they wanted to use the DPS dispute resolution scheme.

In their dispute resolution, they continued to submit all the claims even when we had submitted clear evidence that they were spurious purely to seek a negotiating advantage.

I am going to name their property manager, Louise Norris, for doing her absolute best to trap vulnerable tenants into fake charges and long-drawn out dispute resolution processes.

Kay has been fantastic since he takes over my account. I have an apartment that has been with Hastings for management since built.

Kay, Abel and Louise have been wonderful. The best experience I’ve had renting in London.

Timely and responsive administration. Really excellent advice on tenancy renewal. And plesant tone in corresponence. All important as we live in Australia with significant time difference.

The team have always been very supportive & prompt, though I am staying in Singapore.

Kay Kendall recently negotiated very fair tenancy agreements for us, taking into account of both the landlords and tenants.
