A not very welcome home loyalty voucher
We have just returned from an amazing holiday in Vietnam and Cambodia with Mercury booked through Hays travel Exmouth.
We received a welcome home loyalty voucher for £100 along with the new Mercury brochure.
We found a holiday to Sri Lanka and India so went to book in store In Exmouth.
We were very disappointed to find the store won't except its own loyalty vouchers or blue light cards for teachers.
Having spent £16,000 in the past 12 month with Hays travel we feel let down and confused as to why you are trying to attract business via this method only to refuse to honour it when the booking is processed.
Would be very interested to here why vouchers are not honoured.

As I explained in the shop unfortunately due to us trying to be competitive to the online market we had to price match the online pricing so we are therefore unable to honour the welcome £100 discount offer. We can offer this discount on lots of holidays but unfortunately sometimes there is occasions where we can't. Again I understand your frustration and I do apologise on this occasion. The girls were all very pleasant, but I did feel the girl we had wasn’t as experienced as we have had before, she constantly had to ask her manager, who could have stayed to help her as they weren’t that busy, but she didn’t, so she had to keep calling her back.

Short notice for a holiday in The Maldives
I had some complicated requests which was a slight challenge but they worked as a team and the result was the perfect holiday. They all smiled, were extremely friendly and very professional. Would not hesitate to book any holiday or break with them in the future.
