My partner and I went through all the booking procedure with the agent in the shop, only to find at the end of it all the agent told us that they couldn't guarantee us having two seats together on the aircraft until after we paid the full money for the holiday. Only then could she look on the airlines booking schedule to see if we could sit together. This was absolutely unacceptable to us, so we cancelled the holiday after spending a good 45 minutes going through the whole thing at the agents desk. What a waste of time that was. What should happen is, the agent should make the customer aware of the seating fact at the start, so then that gives the customer a chance to stop the search there and then and go on to something else which does not have that hidden seating arrangement.
I'm sure this would not be hard to implement or if it is, get onto the airline and tell them, ( THIS IS NOT GOOD ENOUGH ).
After that session, we searched another holiday company that does let you see the airline seating arrangements before payment is made, SO IT CAN BE DONE.
HAYS travel, get your act together, it might not be the staff in the shop that can change these things but hopefully a senior manager might see this message and do something about it. If you want to survive in todays world, start pleasing the customer instead of taking people for granted.
There is a new travel shop opened up in Highcliffe, maybe people should try there instead to see if we get a better service.

The travel agents i spoke to listened to our criteria for a family holiday. Suggested options and when we visited the branch, we received a personal service leading to a very exciting booking for 2026.

We initially went into the Highcliffe branch for information on availability of Caribbean cruises and came out having booked one!
Denise was so helpful and was very informative and very friendly. She was able to find us a cancellation from Bournemouth, which was ideal for us and advised us on the choice of cabin and position. She made such an impression that we booked our holiday there and then! Excellent and thank you!

We dealt with Megan in the Highcliffe shop, she was from the Christchurch shop. Megan was more than we could have hoped for. She was understanding, so knowledgeable an expert in switching between systems. She told us about options that we were not even aware of. Her advice was just what we needed.
