I’ve just had the most bizarre conversation with the most unprofessional, rudest travel agent I’ve ever had the displeasure of speaking to. I sent Michelle a message asking for a bit more information on a holiday I was really interested in booking for Easter. She sent me a reply saying “URGENT this holiday is selling out” (words to that effect), and to phone her to book/enquire. I phoned a few times with no answer, but when we finally spoke, I was pretty excited to book, I had my bank card ready to pay the deposit etc..I just wanted a few questions answered, such as checking the flight times (not on the FB post), whether I could book a day later if possible,(not on the FB post) and whether I could book the 2 bedroom apartment, (also not on the FB post). I’d not used her services before, so I don’t think asking a few questions unreasonable, seeing as I was going to be parting with nearly 2K. Michelle shut me down instantly. She made it clear that she wasn’t interested in answering any of my queries..she abruptly snapped at me that it’s all in the FB post, (it’s not, hence asking), that she doesn’t do enquiries, she does bookings only..I was being spoken to as if I’d inconvenienced her in some way, which was really strange for someone who gets commission. I told her I thought she was being incredibly rude, and I’ll book elsewhere. I then went to check on the original post and I found that she had blocked me from the page. She was obviously concerned that I may comment! I dodged a bullet with this one. I would suggest many of these positive reviews may be false because like a few others, the person I spoke to was anything but helpful.
*In response to that vague reply..it is YOU Michelle who is ‘rude and offensive.’ Maybe if you tried to be less condescending, abrupt and snappy towards new customers you wouldn’t receive these honest reviews. I note that several of your more ‘honest’ reviews say the exact same thing! As for Facebook, no one was rude to your on your page whatsoever, you were just worried I’d leave an honest comment, as I’ve no doubt you’ve blocked and deleted comments/ people you’ve been rude towards many times. I hope you recorded our conversation as I will be making a complaint about you to Hays, you’re costing the company not only in Sales, but as their representative, you’re giving the company a bad name!
Ps. I booked my holiday last night, on the day that I wanted, and with the extra room that I wanted. The whole experience took less than 5 minutes and the Rep was polite and helpful. You need to do better!!
