I was dealt with by a young lady (Katie) who for her tender age was most mature in her approach to me the customer , as a person getting on in years she made me feel most at ease in approach to my travel requests , with this in mind I had no hesitations in booking my holiday with Hays Travel .

Katie went above and beyond to find our perfect holiday. Her attention to our requirements made it an easy decision to choose Hays 😃

It had been many years since we’d used a high street travel agent, but thanks to this experience, we’ll definitely be booking with Hays Travel Plymouth again.

Carol was absolutely outstanding. She was knowledgeable, professional, patient and genuinely friendly. She took the time to listen to exactly what we were looking for, offered excellent advice and recommendations, and made the whole experience enjoyable and completely stress-free.

Unfortunately, we ran out of time and had to leave before we could complete our booking. True to her word, Carol phoned us later that afternoon so we could finish everything from home. Even when we changed our travel dates at the very last minute, nothing was too much trouble. Her patience and commitment to making sure everything was exactly right were exceptional.

In an age where great customer service can be hard to find, Carol and the team at Hays Travel Plymouth have absolutely restored our faith. This is good old-fashioned customer service at its very best—professional, personal and delivered with a genuine smile.

I’m a long‑standing customer of Hays Travel Plymouth. On my latest visit I ordered €1,000 and paid a £100 deposit, but when I came to collect the cash the ID requirements kept changing. I was asked for a passport, then a photo of it on my phone (later rejected), then further documents such as bank statements or utility bills, and phone statements were refused.
Head office later confirmed that their systems can trigger extra anti‑money‑laundering checks at collection and staff must follow them. I don’t dispute the need for legal checks, but as a regular customer with passport details already on file, I was never clearly told in advance what would be required and ended up making extra trips for nothing. Hays Travel promotes itself as an award‑winning, “excellent” customer service provider, yet in their final response they simply insisted the branch “acted correctly” and did not accept that their systems or processes might be flawed. My deposit was refunded, but the overall experience was confusing, inflexible and not customer‑friendly.

Booking was easy and we got good advice. The staff are always friendly and willing to answer all my questions. I prefer booking with Hays as everything can be done in one place.

It was an unusual request for a holiday to Albania She understood my request with a knowledge of the area I wished to travel .Sorted out a deal via Olympic travel spent a bit of time sorting out hotels .Finally arranged everything all very positive The first time I have booked with Hays would definitely book again

Very informative, however took ages to actually book as Ledger holidays web site could not be loaded correctly on Hays Travel system. Hays assistant had to ring Ledger and book over the phone.
