Terrible, Rubbish and still they they operate!!!!!!!

Ordered a TV from Amazon 5th Nov. Was informed it would be delivered on the 10th by HDNL (Yodel) I work in the shipping department of a large company in Plymouth who used these people (Yodel) to ship our goods all over the country, that contract was terminated after two months and we returned to DHL. However I digress back to my TV saga. It didn't arrive even thought the delivery address was my business address, this site is manned 24hrs a day at the very entrance the driver would have to go through to deliver my goods. I received a text msg from Amazon asking me to provide more info to Yodel? I rang Yodel confirmed all the information they had was correct also gave them my mobile number in order that the delivery driver could call if there were any delivery problems. Delivery out again for the 11th same story text msg called Yodel apparently the driver could not gain access. Complained to both Amazon and Yodel. Delivery out again for the 12th. Because they couldn't give a small delivery window even though the previous 2 attempts were around 5 and 5.30pm I stayed on at work at 4.40pm I gave Yodel a call to let them know if the driver was having problems delivering then he could call me! However I was informed that the delivery was attempted at 4.30pm!!! I immediately ask the Yodel operative to call the driver and get him back here, I was informed he didn't have his phone with him. Asked to speak to a manager had to fill a form in over the phone and this form was put on the pile with the rest of them, but was assured I would be called by manager. Meanwhile back to amazon and requested that they send out replacement using a different carrier, they were willing to send a replacement out but could not guarantee that Yodel would not be the carrier. Had call from manager at Yodel not even an apology (water of a ducks back for them) even though after checking the real time CCTV recordings at the attempted delivery times there were no Yodel vans or driver to be seen! Which I informed her of nothing all she was interested in was me confirming to her that there is a 24hr presence at this address, WHAT I CANNOT FATHOM IS THE LIES! no one has been close to this address.. So it's out for delivery again today 13th (4th attempt) if it's not delivered today then Amazon and YODEL can keep it.

Useless liars! 13 hour delivery window and they still missed it twice!

Nothing different to anyone elses experience...
Took day off to accommodate the 13 hour delivery window (every other company can commit to 1-2 hour window!!!). Tracking confirmed it was on the van and due to be delivered on expected day. Right up until 9pm it was apparently still on track to be delivered, when the delivery window expired it miraculously switched to tried to deliver at 5pm! Interesting, i was in all day as were my neighbours who could also have received the item if the delivery wasnt entirely false!... NO CARD WAS LEFT DURING THEIR NON-EXISTENT DELIVERY DROP!!!
Called today to insist on a morning slot given the inconvenience but amazon and Yodel could not accommodate and could only offer another 13 hour window today. Im not holding my breath as i assume they will screw up again.
WHY DO AMAZON USE THIS COMPANY.... CUSTOMER SERVICE IS CLEARLY NOT A PRIORITY. WILL NOT BE USING AMAZON FOR LARGE DELIVERIES IN FUTURE!!!!

Ridiculously BAD!

I never use my limited energy/strength to write negative reviews and usually allow for problems to happen that are outside of the company's control or that problems are an anomaly but this is an exception. I feel compelled to add to the many lists of people pleading with Amazon to stop using this farce of a courier company. My story is not unique, that is the point. I had a Prime order that was split into two parcels. A small one sent by DPD that arrived exactly when it was supposed to and a larger one with all the main items in it that Amazon decided in its foolishness to trust to this company. Not only did this important and urgent parcel not arrive the next day as promised but it ended up in Northern Ireland (I live on the South coast of England)!!! SInce then who knows where it is but Amazon promised it would be delivered by today (3 days later) but yet again there has been no sign of a delivery. If you have ANY choice, NEVER use this company. Incompetent is not the word!

HDNL aka YODEL YE HA!!!!!!! COWBOYS

100% LIED TO.How long can Amazon keep using these clowns. They claimed to have delivered and left a card. NOT TRUE . and to the driver you should not be working. You have "NO CONCIENCE" I WAS IN ALL DAY. Amazon you are just as bad with your staff a call centres with their empty rhetoric of sorry all the time. This means nothing if you continue to use this shower of ****
Amazon please explain why you are still taking the money , yet have hundreds of pages of BAD reveiws on the net."SHAME ON YOU" I shall consider using e-bay now.

Changed teir name - but I smelt Yodel even before I googled

I see from a reviewer earlier that people only tend to take time to review after a negative experience - true but Yodel/HDNL are ridiculous. two years ago I waited for a TV, all day at home. Company said they came and left a slip. No doorbell, no slip. Next day - they didnt come at all and they could not find my address. I have hundreds of parcels and thousands of mail - no other company cant find my address - it is on a high street and extremely easy to find. This went on for 3 days and I swore never to buy anything again that used them. And many calls to a premium number that cost me a small fortune,

Ordered a small parcel from Amazon last week. Says on my profile that on the 4th they came and left slip for my parcel when I was not at home - no slip found was found. Then on the 5th they could not find my address! (starting to sound familiar??) then I tried to call the number on the Amazon site for HDNL - it would not work. Then I googled the company and was redirected back to my old friends YODEL!!!!!

Worst courier company I have every come across and have told Amazon as such.

HDNL (mis)delivers!

HDNL left parcel on doorstep of next door house. No card thru letterbox. Houses have the same postcode but different house numbers clear. Neighbours away. Could have been stolen or anything. Dire.

Entirely agree with the other 1 star reviews

This company is atrocious. Still waiting for a 'next day' parcel from, yes, you guessed it, Amazon. They claim they tried yesterday and left a card. Oh no they didn't - no sign of van nor any card. Amazon said they would look into it... Still waiting for a follow-up from them, and for my parcel.

I despair when Amazon send using Hdnl

so far, not good. I regularly order Amazon Prime next day deliveries. Hdnl don't send a text message or email with a delivery window nor do they reliably make the delivery on day expected. I end up waiting not knowing if or when parcel will arrive.

Would go out of my way to avoid until they become more reliable and have delivery notification by text or email and improve their track record.

Update
Latest delivery arrived on day expected. Delivery was divided into 2 sections; the first was delivered as expected with a message from DPD. I didn't realise the delivery had been divided into 2 with 2 separate carriers. Hdnl parcel arrived 2 hours later, causing me to complain to DPD that part of order was missing.

Please send message giving delivery window

Utter rubbish

Got a message from amazon to say my package was ready for delivery, via HDNL. Checked the tracking to say it was delivered. But I haven't got it. Contacted Amazon who said it had been delivered to a person with the wrong name and to the wrong address. Is this to maintain their Key Performance Targets. Either way I don't have my package. Amazon agreed to ship another package and at my request, using a different shipper.

I hope never to deal with them again.

Useless Company

I've only used this company via Amazon UK. I've had many hundreds of next day deliveries from Amazon over the years and only a small percentage have had problems and of those most were by HDNL. I have got to say they are without doubt the most useless company I've ever dealt with. At the very best they seem to deliver late and very frequently they will lose your parcel. This is bad enough but when you try to either find out about your delivery they are rude and unhelpful. With the deliveries I've had which have gone missing, I've had to go back to Amazon to get them to sort out because HDNL were just not interested. I would never ever dream of using them personally but with Amazon you don't have a choice unfortunately,

Cowboys

It's the same old story for Hdnl, I ordered from Amazon for a next day delivery, I checked tracking and it confirmed my package was 'out for delivery', waited in all day and nothing arrived. I received a text from them the following day to say they had been unable to access my front door, (which, if it wasn't so annoying, would actually be funny as my front door opens directly onto the street, with no parking issues) no card was left and nobody knocked. Which leaves me to conclude that Hdnl are a bunch of lying cowboys. How this company stays in business is anyone's guess and do they actually read this feedback?

They couldn't be worse.

Sometimes you order something and then realise you've overlooked the courier's name. If it's DPD you're fine and you breathe a sigh of relief. If it's Home Delivery Network you know it will be late, you will be lied to about why it is late and you know the driver won't be the slightest bit concerned about it if, and it is an "if", he ever turns up. Worse than shambolic, any company that uses them will suffer as a consequence.

The worst

I just reviewed DPD. They're spot on. Now I'm reviewing HDNL / Yodel. They're miles away from being spot on.

Apparently they made an attempt, which is hilarious because I watched him drive off without getting out his van. This is the second time I've witnessed this, the first retailer was eBuyer and now Amazon have cottoned on to these uneducated twits. I've stopped using eBuyer with no problems, Amazon will be next if they carry on.

Worst of all the Courier Companies

I placed an order with Amazon which was supposed to have had a guaranteed delivery date. I waited in all day for the parcel to arrive - but nothing. The next day I checked my Amazon account where it told me there was a problem with my delivery and to contact the courier. The number supplied is an automated system and after giving my tracking number 3 times it said " we do not recognise this number, we cannot help you, goodbye" and the line went dead. I then tried via the website. This claims that they tried to deliver but no-one was home and that they'd left a card. As I mentioned before, I was in all day and I can guarantee nobody tried to deliver or leave a card. This kind of shoddy service only ever happens with Yodel. I have several parcels delivered every week and Yodels incompetence beats eveyone. Other couriers manage to run their businesses effectively why can't Yodel? DPD now send me an email the day before reminding me that they are delivering the next day and then the following morning give me a 1hour time slot as to when the parcel will arrive and have never got it wrong. I have complained to Amazon in the past and yet they still persist on using this diabolical company.

Absolutely terrible delivery

These guys were supposed to deliver a single parcel, waited two days in my apartment just for the parcel and it never arrived. Only to track the package online and it says "delivery attempted"!!!!

Very frustrating...I had to cancel my order eventually as I had to go on on holidays!!

AMAZON,PLEASE STOP USING THIS COMPANY FOR DELIVERY!!!

I occasionally order from Amazon as prime member and I haven't had any issues with my previous deliveries until now!!

great service

Like the previous reviewer I can't fault HDNL aka Yodel. I've used them about half a dozen times before, over the last three or so years, for deliveries from on-line retailers and everything's gone very well, no delays, accurate tracking and so on. This time was for an Amazon delivery, so I was a bit apprehensive when I read other reviews, but, no, the item was delivered exactly as predicted – used this time not for a home delivery but for collection from a chosen pick-up point. Everything went fine. I guess it's just the luck of the draw ... things can go wrong, I know. I guess I've been lucky?

Can't Complain, Great Service

I ordered a book through amazon on prime yesterday, it was marked as dispatched last night through HDNL who i'd never heard of so after a quick google I decided to check out the reviews here and I had a horrid feeling of dread. Some of the reviews sounded truly awful and I was doubtful my parcel would arrive on time if at all. But it's just arrived safe and sound, to my work address no less which is a little obscure and had no hassle whatsoever.

So perhaps the reviews on here are a little harsh, it's not all that often that people will leave reviews after a positive experience, but a negative one and you can't tell the world fast enough. I'm sure they've had their problems, like any company, but just because someone else had issues doesn't mean you will. Of course i could have just been one of the lucky ones but I remain optimistic!

Same problems. Still waiting for my package. Very frustrating.

Been having the same problems with my order from amazon delivered by
hdnl/yodel. According to their tracking page they tried to deliver
many times over 3 days, was home for every one of those occasions, no
ring and no card left. At some point it even said "delivery refused by
customer, returning back to seller" I obviously never refused
delivery! After many amazon customer service conversations I'm finally
being sent a replacement. By guess who? Yodel! Am I ever going to get
my package? I'm having to miss a doctors appointment now waiting for
this and it might never arrive. This is the fifth day I'm waiting at
home for this parcel. Not happy.
