Ordered a replacement battery and…
Ordered a replacement battery and battery charger on the 14th November 2025. Today 10/12/25 I found out they ceased trading on the 27/11/25, absolutely disgraceful taking orders and peoples money knowing full well they were going to close down. Now I have to start dealing with the bank to try and get a refund.
GOODS NOT RECEIVED
I ordered (like the last reviewer) a replacement battery for the door opener, but it did not arrive. The battery cost nearly £50 so too much to lose. I phoned them but got no response and emailed them. So in the end I ordered one from a Chinese company at only £11. I feel honestly let down by Hentronix.co.uk What arrogance just to take peoples money and not send out the goods. And if they've gone out of business, please take the website down. It's not that hard. Please respect your customers!
As with several of the other reviews…
As with several of the other reviews dating back over the last 12 months, I suspect this company has gone out of business but their website is still accepting orders and payment. I ordered a replacement battery and still haven’t received it after 6 weeks. It is clear from the recent reviews that this won’t be happening anytime soon. I will initiate a charge back from my credit card company. Does anyone know how to report the company so they cease taking other peoples money?
Do not buy!
Do not buy!
Purchased a door opener. Product fine in the first weeks. Within a half year of usage a gear broke. Sent multiple mails but not a single response. No customer service at all. Very disappointing.
DO NOT SEND THIS COMPANY ANY MONEY.
If is was possible I would have left no stars. I have had a door opener for a number of years and occasionally ordered spare parts with no problem.
On this occasion I ordered a replacement PCB and the confirmation said it would be 3-4 weeks. I have now waited 3 months and sent emails and voice messages all ignored. I have got my money back via Barclaycard.I would never use this company again. Very disappointed.
Bad experience
Having previously worked well I ordered a replacement part for my door opener. My money was taken but nothing arrived. Months went by and I cannot contact them by email or phone. I have reported them to Trading Standards via Citizens Advice. I'm attempting to recover money via my bank.
Customer Service 3 🌟 Product 1 ⭐
I bought the door opener during Covid, but decided to wait until 2024 to get chickens. So, I didn't use it until then. The battery died after a month of use, wouldn't hold a charge. I contacted the folks at Hentronix, who were very helpful. They asked me to send it back for them to check. I had to get a new battery for over £40. They sent it back to me, same issue. Sent it back to Hentronix, they kept it for a while, sending emails with no response. Finally got it back, after months. Not sure what they did. It worked for a couple of months, but now it won't hold a charge again. I'm really frustrated, £300 down the drain.
This used to be a good company
This used to be a good company, their door openers which I have 2 of, had occasional problems that were solved by support.
For some reason halfway through a warranty request in May this year, they stopped responding to my emails, they did not send out a replacement as they said they would. They have not replied to any more emails I've sent since, complete silence. I am wondering if they have gone bust, but there is no announcement.
3 months and no reply
I bought my door opener 4 years ago, worked perfectly. If anything went wrong ( which was always my doing) I emailed and ‘Edward’ replied immediately. In May I ordered a new part , I emailed Edward and he replied and assured me it was compatible. I haven’t received anything since my order at the end of May and no reply to any email!!! I read a review by someone who is going through their bank to get their money back? I wasn’t aware I could do that. Feel very disappointed as I thought it was a great product.
The timer with the magnet doesn't work…
The timer with the magnet doesn't work and can't be solved so it opens at sunrise, which is way too early. Chickens make lots of noise at 5am in the summer. It's pretty useless for me if timer doesn't work.
Also the glue of the motor part let go after a couple of months and moves a lot.
Don’t honour their warranty
We bought an automatic door opener with a solar panel and it worked brilliantly for about a year. Just over a year in, the seal around the electronics module went, the unit let in water and stopped working. These units have a 2 year warranty, so we thought it wouldn’t be a problem and contacted the company for a replacement part. They responded to our first email positively and asked a bit more about the failure, but they then didn’t respond to our reply or any subsequent emails. So be aware that, if you do buy from them, their warranty is fictional.
The Hentronix website said 3 weeks…
The Hentronix website said 3 weeks delivery time. After 5 weeks tried calling (no staffed phone lines) and emailing and 2 weeks later no reply to either. Multiple emails sent now.
Dreadful experience
Dreadful experience, we never received the part needed. Edward says he will deliver but never does. Do not touch this company, it is a scam.
Automatic door failure
Had a door opener from Hentronix for 18 months. No problem. Board has just stopped working. I know enough about electronics to have isolated the problem to the board and not any other part of the system. I have been trying for weeks now to get any kind of response out of them. Edward seems to be very illusive. No answers to emails or calls. I have now issued them with my intention to take them to small claims court. Don't touch these guys with a barge pole!
No contact. No product
I ordered the upgrade app for door opening and closing times on 9 June. Despite numerous follow up emails and phone calls (all unanswered) I've still no product and no contact. I've just started the process of trying to recover my cash via my bank.
I got the door opener from them 5 years ago. After a few teething problems which they resolved very satisfactorily I've had no issue with it since.
We now have a fox visiting and dawn and need the flexibility of setting different door opening times. The upgrade while expensive seemed ideal. I bought and paid for it in good faith so I'm really disappointed.
I wouldn't order anything from them until there is some confirmation that they are still in business and providing a service.
Great products if you could get them!

Only today, after NOT receiving any product, no answer to my emails, calls…. Its been a month since ordering.
Full payment was taken.
Today i check it on here. OMG that £300 i wont get back!
I ordered my door opener 5 weeks ago.
I ordered my door opener 5 weeks ago.
Right now i didn`t receive the opener.
To my E mails ( 4 times) i never got an answer.
This company is highly not recommended.
Don`t buy anything from them.
worst customer service ever
worst customer service ever! First the motor stopped working after 3 years, so I had to buy a new one, a few weeks later the same problem occured, and now Edward from Hentronix stopped answering my mails though it is still in guarantee time. The system is nice in theory but doesn´t function reliably enough in reality - and the customer service is unbelievably bad that I can´t recommend this company.
Silence over door opener order.
Ordered a door opener with Wi-Fi over a month ago. They took my money straight away, and I understood there might be a two week wait, however I have tried telephoning and emailing a number of times to no avail. If there is a delay, it would be nice to know, but with no communication at all I am minded to get my money back and get up early instead to let the girls out. Disappointing business!
Seems like some people have had issues…
Seems like some people have had issues with the wifi/solar versions, but we have had the standard hentronix mains powered door opener for over 3 years now, and in that time only once has it had an issue when the door didn't close properly, which was resolved by spraying a bit of wd40 on the mechanism.
We'd be lost without it to be honest as it saves so much time and stress over manually letting the hens in and out!
