Consistently bad

I have never had a delivery that has gone smoothly with Hermes. I've taken time off work to wait in for deliveries before, or selected Next Day if I want something through on time - but I have genuinely never not had a problem with them. Items have been delivered days after the "scheduled delivery slot" - with little to no warning. Often Hermes will email you the next day to say there was a problem delivering your parcel. When things are eventually delivered they are often a bit battered and clearly haven't been handled with care. I would love the companies who use this service to wake up and realise that it's putting off their customers. I now won't order from ASOS for example, because it's not worth the hassle of the crap delivery.

I had to give one star to enable a review but this company does not deserve this.
I ordered a Electrical item from Amazon dealer unibos. Last contact from Amazon stated delivery would be on a Monday but the package was instead delivered on the previous Friday while i was out. On this day the weather was heavy rain all day and into the Saturday. I was not aware a card had been left in my letterbox until midday Saturday as the card was not seen until post was delivered and pushed the card through.I found the package left by my garden wall with the cardboard box in bits due to amount of rain it has soaked up.
Unable to find contact details for this Crap company i had to go through the Amazon site and contact Unibos who told me my package was left in my outbuilding Which is a LIE as i have no outbuilding the word they should have use should read OUT SIDE not OUT BUILDING.
I don't expect Hermes will do anything to stop this from happening to others nether will Unibos and Amazon who use this crap company.
i WILL ALWAYS ASK WHAT COMPANY WILL BE DELIVERING BEFORE I PLACE AN ORDER TO AVOID THIS COMPANY

Been waiting for two Amazon prime next day packages to be delivered by this shower of @hit.
Tried to talk to a human who they clearly dont employ....may be cheap for senders but should seriously be avoided!!
Still waiting day 3!!!

Awful delivery company who lied and said they attempted to deliver my parcel three times, even though their own tracking system says the first delivery attempt was delayed and didn’t happen. Second delivery attempt involved the courier showing up 1.15 hours before the delivery time and not leaving a calling card!!! This is disgraceful as I couldn’t even get into touch with them. Third time the driver didn’t even show up as I was at the door during the allocated time and my cctv footage shows no one turned up. Driver’s GPS location also confirmed he wasn’t in the area at the allocated time. Yet the driver lies and updates the tracking system saying a second delivery was attempted. After I talked to Hermes personal assistants on the live chat, I managed to get them to pass on my contact details to the driver so he could ring me before the last attempt, so I thought there was a light at the end of the tunnel. Driver rang me during the weekend and was SHOUTING at me like I’ve done something wrong even though he’s the one in the wrong, so I had to pass the phone to my husband due to his aggression. Then these clowns update me yesterday saying the first failed attempt on their part counts as one of three attempts, even though they’ve only tried to deliver twice, so the parcel is being sent back. Worst delivery company ever, I won’t be ordering online from any company that uses Hermes.

Absolutely rubbish, the worst ever delivery company. Every single item that I have ordered that's been handled by Hermes has been either lost or days late or the driver couldn't find my house, and I mean every single item ! I've even asked Amazon if the can stop sending my stuff with Hermes, they can't. It's gotten so bad that i will now be cancelling any orders as soon as I find out Hermes will be having anything to do with it.

Hermes delivery driver tried to deliver to my local post office which was offered on the Tessuti website, the post office worker refused delivery and I know this because my friend happened to be in the post office at the same time. Yet the Hermes driver signed for the parcel herself and took it away with her.
Im now fighting with Tessuti trying to get a refund. Hermes are not getting back to me, do not use.

'We tried to deliver your parcel today but you weren't in or there was no safe place to leave it. We'll try again on the next working day.'

I ordered an item with Boohoo and paid for next day delivery. This was dispatched on time by them and I used the parcel tracking feature to follow my item.
I had the delivery address as my office because there is always someone here to greet visitors etc.

I unfortunately have no say in what delivery group these companies choose to use but every time i am stuck with Hermes there is always some kind of issue! What is the point in me paying extra for next day delivery if the courier is unable to do their job!

To say I’m cheesed off is an understatement, if I could give -0 I would. After being out on a Saturday when they first tried to deliver, next working day delivery would be a Monday, working full time am unable to just take time off for delivery so I used the webpage to divert parcel and thought oh great and chose letterbox option. Monday comes and goes - another failed delivery attempt, will try on Tuesday (today) so once again i go on divert options and choose to deliver to next door neighbour and put note on door saying deliver next door. Spend the day tracking it on website, only for the phony times to appear hours after they say they will be delivering and that 3rd time they have tried to deliver and will now be sending parcel back to sender - CHINA- what a waste of time.

Tried to contact but a fully automated service that doesn’t work - what a surprise. Live chat - again an automated system that doesn’t help.

I shall now have to contact the sender in china and either demand a refund or ask they don’t use Hermes to deliver it to me.

This company are less than useless, avoid at all costs!!!

Never use Hermes delivery service.Parcels never turn up on time Tracking gives a time slot , then just before the deadline it changes, to item as been delayed ( it will be on the move in the next 48hrs), then it doesn’t turn up.
When you complain you either get told nobody was in or there’s a dispute.
The company never gets back to you.
I would recommend everyone to use a different company.

I have made a similar review before about Hermes when they left my parcel outside the door of my house in view of anyone that might be walking past as it's an open place. Now they have done it again! Yesterday i returned home to find a parcel from studio online store left at the front of my door by Hermes again! What's the matter with Hermes staff??? And why can't retailers learn from all of the bad reviews people are making daily???

I have to concur with all the other reviews, there should be a zero rating for this company. They lie about delivery attempts or never turn up at the time slot given. My only wish is that retailers would state who they use for their courier services prior to anyone ordering; i certainly wouldn't buy anything online from them. Everytime i get the Hermes notification i feel anxious and know i'm in for more stress chasing my delivery. They must be an extremely cheap service, otherwise why would anyone use them? What must it cost businesses in lost time chasing up on customer orders with them? Retailers take heed from your customers and use another reliable courier service or risk losing custom!

Ordered parcels from Amazon, ASOS and Oliver Bonas. Unfortunately, all were to deliver via Hermes. I was informed in all cases that delivery would be on Friday 1st November. That came and went without delivery except there was a message on tracking with Oliver Bonas that an attempt was made to deliver on Friday evening but there was no reply. Chased. Oliver Bonas were very helpful and tracked their parcel. They told me that at the time of the alleged delivery attempt GPS shows driver was not at our address. Is this fraud - at best it is plain lying. Presumably the same went for the other two retailers but I am waiting to hear. These items were for my daughter's birthday which has now been and gone. The Amazon item was an expensive car jump starter, ASOS was expensive designer trainers whilst Oliver Bonas was an expensive designer bag. Where are these items which are still undelivered? No one can or will tell me and Hermes do not respond. In future I am going to try and avoid ordering online from any retailer that uses Hermes.

1 star only because 0 is not an option! If we hear a delivery is with Hermes - our heart sinks! Latest episode is a Zara coat I order. Delivery was out for Wednesday. The an email to start there will ‘be a delay’. Then another date - and another date missed. Then again today, time given - no delivery. Out for delivery tomorrow. Will they deliver NO THEY WON’T. Countless times they say the ‘tried’ to deliver, when we know they haven’t. Often they just leave stuff at the local service station saying they’ve ‘left with a neighbour’. why do companies use Hermes. 93% bad - STOP USING THEM!!! Buy a bloody donkey instead!

BUNCH OF CROOKS! Parcel says it's delivered but the signature is fraudulent. No way of contacting them, just passed the buck to the retailer. They're not the incompetent people incapable of running s courier business. You are.

This is not the first time i have had issues with your company. You service is disgusting i have never in my life dealt with a company like yours!!! Your company sent me a message at 16:40pm on Friday 01/10/2019 advising my parcel would be delivered between 1pm to 5pm. Which is 20 minutes before the time was up for delivering my parcel. To then receive an email later that evening advsing my Parcel was delivered at 3:05pm on Friday 1st. To only be so annoyed that i got a late message however i didn't even receive my parcel. I looked further into my email to noticed someone had signed for my parcel by the name Dave. I went all around my street knocking on bloody door to door for this parcel which in fact is a birthday present, to be advised no one had received my parcel. I am now in contact with the retailer who are disgusted with your service and i hope you sort this mess out as i'm sick of you destroying or not delivering parcels to the right address.

Absolute garbage! no contact number is POOR simple issue made hard as cannot communicate!

Hermes are a most appalling delivery firm. They send emails stating they are going to deliver then fail to do so. Then ANOTHER email. No apology just altering the time again.
Why do any Companies use Hermes. They are simply terrible.
Why not use Royal Mail.
Companies who read this, e.g. Damart,. and Liverpool Football Club On Line Store.your Customers deserve better service than this.

This was sent YESTERDAY. Needless to say it did not happen.
I am absolutely disgusted. Hermes should not be used by ANY company. I would have thought Damart would have woken up to this by now. I am cancelling my account with them. I have received no further notification of when, if ever, my order will be delivered.
There should be a rating for worst ever!! i.e. NO STARS at all

Well, the latest is that Hermes have lied to Damart and told them they are unable to fund the place where we live. This despite the fact they have visited this building many times in the past. 2 blocks of Sheltered Wings.
Shane on you Damart for listening to their continuous fabrications as excuses.

Finally Hermes turned up with my Damart parcel. The outside was in a very shoddy state. I think it must have been buried in their van.
Damart have kindly said that I may keep the parcel contents as a gesture of good will. They have refunded the money.
Hermes have really gone down hill in the last few years. It is thanks to them that I can no longer be a Damart Customer. Hermes are a Courier service who cannot be trusted.

They don't even deserve one star. I ordered a parcel from Dunelm and delivery was scheduled to my place of work on Friday. Apparently when the driver tried to deliver on Friday (at my place of work) no one was 'home' !!!! It's a business, there's always someone here. Again over the weekend and today, the same message 'no one was home'. When i questionned this with Dunelm, they can see the GPS of the drivers and they could see that at the time he said he tried to deliver, he was more than 15 miles away from my address!!!! Hermes have every success in hiding themselves away from dealing with customers because it is impossible to contact them by phone or email - literally no one will help you. If you can avoid using Hermes as a delivery service please do, and i beg of all you retailers to find a better courier service.
