Delivery ... What Delivery .... Hermes stikeagaim
I paid extra for a package to be delivered next day and waited in all day for the package to arrive. At 19.30 I received an email from Hermes saying the package has been delivered and signed for but with no evidence of a signature.
This seems to be a common occurrence as at least 3 times a week on the local community page on Facebook people are complaining about Hermes. They really are a shambolic excuse for a delivery company and if you look at the reviews on this page it tells you all you need to know.
Try contacting them to enquire about your delivery and you have a better chance of a snowball in hell. Bad service, bad customer service and just a company that is not fit for purpose.
They are cheap for a reason and the sooner companies stop using them as the delivery company and run them off the road the better.
I’m truly astounded that companies…
I’m truly astounded that companies still use Hermes to deliver their products. The service is non existent, the updates inaccurate, you pay for next day delivery to then waste your time contacting companies with complaints and waiting for your parcel to arrive 3 days later. I mean why would you bother to pay for expedited delivery if you didn’t need it in the first place, right?
Worst delivery company ever. It’s a miracle they’re still on the market. Companies should stop using them
Hermes parcel delivery
Hermes parcel delivery. I have had continuing problems for circa 4 months. 2 parcels actually never received despite Hermes emailing saying I had signed for them - eventually admitted they had no signature! Other parcels delivered have never been left in designated place even though there is a reminder sign on the front door. They have never knocked on the front door and I have been at home every time they have delivered. I hear every other courier that delivers so I do not believe they knock. They have left parcels at the beginning of my front lawn near the lane some 300 foot away from my front door. Each time they are left somewhere obscure, once they were left next to my refuse bin that had been left out for collection. Contacting them is impossible as is reporting a problem online
Unbelievable !!
I had the misfortune to have part of my Debenhams order delivered today by this company . Although I had left a note on the door to say if no answer please leave at a neighbours house .... They actually crammed my parcel which was a lace dress through the letterbox😡😡 Which resulted in the dress , which was on a clothes hanger, actually Ripping the packaging and leaving the item poking out. I’m surprised it didn’t cause any damage to the actual dress itself . I have taken a photograph of this and intend showing my Debenhams store what a totally unprofessional company they are using. I normally use ‘ click and collect ‘ but for some reason it wasn’t available when I placed my order. Needless to say I won’t be using this service again. Unfortunately as I only received half of my order I am dreading how my other delivery will be received , I intend putting another note on the door to say DONT TRY AND POST PACKAGES THROUGH THE LETTERBOX WHEN THEY ARE OBVIOUSLY TOO BIG!!
Horrendous
Horrendous, that’s a couple of occasions now they have been terrible. Not even close to being on time and disappoint you by telling you when it’s expected and don’t fulfill
GOVERNMENT WARNING
GOVERNMENT WARNING
this is what they deserve.
Lost parcel in 3 days of pick up.
Lost damaged not founds.
Cost of parcel £ 550
THIS COMPANY MUST CLOSE. DO NOT TRUST THEM.
Damage to my house!
You delivered a parcel to my house today using brute force, your delivery driver has damaged my front door and walked away looking at the damage. I'm sincerely not happy about this. I have attempted to contact by phone and email, and yet no response.
I didnt realise delivering a parcel meant damaging my property!
What an absolute disgrace!
Terrible delivery times.
Another pathetic report
Another pathetic report: "Delivery attempt made". Really? When I am sitting in the next room with a view of the front door?
I'll cancel the order now - it'll never come. Probably chucked in someone else's dustbin.
Truly deserves 0 stars
Hermes are quite simply the worst delivery service in existence. I’ve failed to receive literally every package that’s ever been placed in their buttery hands. Every time its the same charade. They fabricate attempted deliveries, completely lose the parcel and then ghost you no matter how you attempt to contact them. Live chat online? End up waiting half an hour just to be told exactly what the automated systems tell you (which are lies). Call the customer service line? Good luck finding a human being. I’ve called that number at least 20 times per botched delivery and all I can get is an automated voice providing parcel tracking updates (once again, lies).
Judging by most of these reviews however, I've clearly had one of the better Hermes experiences. There are hundreds of pieces of feedback, littered all over the internet, detailing how Hermes staff members have personally and intentionally broken into the parcels, forged signatures, stolen items, damaged properties etc. The company lies and the staff thieve en-masse.
I despair whenever I realise my delivery is being handled by Hermes and will attempt to boycott any seller utilising this utter abomination of a so-called delivery service. They ought to be investigated for organised crime.
I say this to anyone dabbling with this cow-pat of a company, have fun trying to speak to anyone who works there after they incinerate your parcel. Don’t even contemplate receiving a refund either.
AVOID AVOID AVOID
AVOID AVOID AVOID
BOOKED A COLLECTION FOR TUESDAY AND IT IS NOW THURSDAY AND THEIR AUTOMATIC ANSWERING SERVICE STATES THEY ARE NOT COMING TODAY.
THE PRICES ARE CHEAP AND THAT SHOULD HAVE WARNED ME. THE 'MY FRIENDLY COURIERS' OBVIOUSLY FIT THEM IN WHEN THEY DON'T HAVE A BETTER PAID JOB.
Parcel left outside for anyone to pick…
Parcel left outside for anyone to pick up in the busy square I live in, after I specifically requested it to be delivered either in person to me or not at all. Everybody hates you Hermes!
Just terrible, avoid if you can. ZERO star service!
Why are company’s still using this delivery service?
I was told parcel would be delivered between 2pm-8pm. I got email at 8pm to say that they had trouble delivering and they would try the following day. Lies! We live in a serviced apartment with a concierge, how could it not be delivered?
Every time in the past that Hermes was the courier there have been problems. Sometimes parcels never arrived and companies had to send a replacement. Just terrible, avoid if you can.
Worse company ever! Do not trust!
Worse company ever. Three days in a row I was told parcel would be delivered between 4pm-8pm. Each of the 3 evenings, I got email at 8pm to say that they had trouble delivering!!!!!???? And They would try the following day!!?? Lies! Just lies! I was in all the time!
Every time in the past that Hermes wad the courier there have been problems. Sometimes parcels never arrived and companies had to send a replacement via Royal Mail. What do Hermes do with these parcels!!!!?????
Cannot speak to a human being
Cannot speak to a human being as their automated phone system does not recognise the tracking number they've provided. Truly shocking. God knows where my parcel is.
I was home today when my parcel…
I was home today when my parcel delivery arrived. The delivery guy rang the doorbell really aggressively six times in one go and as I was on the second floor I made my way downstairs which would have taken maximum one minute.
When I opened the door the guy had gone around the corner and thrown my parcel over the side gate. The gate is open so he could have opened it and put the parcel down however I have not picked the leave in a safe space option.
When I said hello he showed up at the door and told me that the parcel was outside. I asked him to get it and when he gave it to me it was ripped. If it had been left outside it would have been ruined in the rain.
Safe to say that I am not impressed and will never choose this option again for delivery.
Awful service
Awful service. They lost my parcel for 10 days after claiming someone had signed for it at 4.31am. I’m still waiting for it to be delivered and the White Company has had to send out a new parcel as it is so unlikely to be delivered. I cannot work out how Hermes can be so incompetent.
FRUSTRATED AND FUMING - USE PARCEL FORCE INSTEAD!
FRIDAY 4TH OCT
Took parcel of 6 dinner plates to drop-off shop
SATURDAY 5TH OCT
Driver picked up form shop
FRIDAY 11TH OCT
Customer emailed to say not yet received, checked tracking online, no tracking added since driver picked up parcel
SATURDAY 12TH OCT
Rang customer services, adviser said needed to contact depot, he could not get through so emailed them and told me to ring back SUNDAY next day to allow 24 hours
SUNDAY 13TH OCT
Rang, was told by automated voice to ring back during opening times then was cut off. Tried 3 times, same response.
MONDAY 14TH OCT
Rang customer services, got into a row with adviser who told me parcel was lost, then she insisted on me telling her what was in the parcel and what they were made of. I said it shouldn't matter what is in the parcel as they had LOST it, I demanded to be sent a compensation claim form, she outright refused. I insisted on speaking to a manager, she put me on hold for a couple of mins then reckoned 'everyone was on the phones', she flatly refused to send me a compensation form and kept on saying over and over that the plates were non-compensatory items, even for loss, as per their terms and conditions. I was expected to just walk away form a £118 parcel, even though I declared what was in the parcel at time of purchasing postage and they were happy to accept my extra payment for insurance cover.
Frustrated and fuming, I tried online chat, I got the same spiel about non-compensatory items and so promised I would persist and not give up until I got my money back. The online chat agent agreed to get a manager to contact me within 24 hours. That did happen, but no matter how I reasoned with her she would only offer me back my postage of £8.99 and a 'goodwill' payment of £15. I said no of course, and asked her to put it in writing so that I could begin formal complaint actions against them, including the Small Claims Court if it came to it. She put it in an email to me.
I went into my online account and wrote to them to say I wanted a compensation form, which someone did eventually send.
Several days later, no response from them. I kept my eye on the tracking every day and to my surprise suddenly, the parcel had been flagged online as DELIVERED on the 25th of OCT 20 days after it was picked up by the driver.
I emailed my customer, she found it in her garage, even though HERMES own Ts&Cs state items of that value cannot be left and must have a signature.
It was stated that a signature had been obtained, which it hadn't. At least the recipient had a card pushed through her letterbox to say it had been left in the garage, She certainly had not signed for it!
I was not notified that my LOST parcel had now been FOUND and that it was on its way. There was no tracking online from the 5th OCT until the 25th OCT.
I now use Parcel Force, which is under a tenner for heavy items up to 30kg, It is a NEW flat rate they have introduced, it includes full tracking and insurance and you can take it to your local post office for pick up or arrange for them to pick it up from you.
No doubt they have done this to compete with HERMES on heavy parcels delivery. So, suck on that HERMES, and in case you are wondering, you have lost yourselves another good customer!
Hermes entered my home without permission
This is a complaint I have written to Hermes;
Hermes,
Today I received a parcel whilst I was in my garden. Instead of taking it to a neighbour, leaving it outside my door (which you’ve done before) or trying to deliver at another time, your delivery person opened my front door and left my parcel inside my home. This was not a porch, this was inside me home !
I have tried calling your customer support number and was told by an automated system that if I wish to contact yourselves that I must do so through your website. I then proceeded to try to contact you through the website and still had no luck. It seems that you do not value customer service and do not respect people’s privacy and security. I have taken to Twitter, where I have had no luck so I have now reopened my Facebook account to try to contact you through here. I require an explanation and someone to contact me about this matter. I now feel that I must check my belongings in my home to ensure nothing was taken and I feel that I may need to contact the police about your employees entering my home.
I wait for your response in anticipation.
Regards

Don't trust their tracking site.
The Hermes parcel tracking service is absolutely rubbish. It promises delivery "windows" and repeatedly fails to even turn up. Be warned - I would not suggest putting your life on hold for this company.
