I have over 20 years of driving experience abroad and passed my automatic license in 2016 on the first try. However, I hadn’t driven in the UK since then as I didn’t need to drive in London. With a new job starting in 2025 that required a manual license, I contacted several instructors around Colchester. Mas from Hero Driving was the only one who responded.

At the start, my driving confidence was extremely low. During my first and second lessons, I was even reaching out with my right hand to find the gear stick. Mas quickly corrected my habits and taught me how to drive properly and efficiently.

I failed my first two driving tests with one minor and one major fault each time. However, just two weeks later on my third attempt, I passed with zero faults.

Mas is an incredible instructor. Trust his process, follow his guidance, and you will have your license in no time. I cannot recommend Hero Driving enough to anyone serious about learning to drive the right way.

Today, i passed my driving test with RAJA of hero driving school. I have some worst experience before with my previous driving instructor from another driving school. Raja saved the day. He is absolutely professional, patient and ensures to fine tune your areas of weaknesses. I have been lucky to have him as my instructor and thankful to him for transforming me into a confident driver on the road. I have passed my exam in first attempt and truly enjoyed the entire experience of learning with him. You can really feel his urge and passion to teach you to drive safely and properly. He corrects you in a way that you understand. To hero driving school, thank you! And to Raja, i owe you bigtime!

I started learning with Michelle in June 2024, and she has been an incredibly patient and supportive instructor throughout my learning process. It took me some time to feel confident in controlling the car, but Michelle’s encouraging teaching style made the journey enjoyable. She consistently motivated me to keep driving and never give up.

Michelle is always punctual and professional, which I truly appreciated. Unfortunately, due to changes in my work schedule, I had to stop learning with her. However, I highly recommend Michelle to anyone looking for a skilled and compassionate instructor.

I’d highly recommend MAs from Hero. My son passed first time with no minors after a 40 hour intensive course. He went into his test feeling confident because Mas had prepared him well for the test. He is a confident but careful driver now. So pleased we went with Mas and I’ll definitely be enrolling my daughter in a couple of years! Thank you 🙏🏽

Recently passed with Mas and I truly cannot recommend him enough. I wasn't the easiest to teach, but he found a way to get me confident enough to take my test. A huge 5 ⭐ from me!

I had booked afew refresher lessons with Michelle as I hadn’t driven in over 6 years so I was abit nervous to get back onto the road driving. But she made me feel comfortable. I found Hero to be incredibly helpful and especially my driving instructor Kabir was patient, calm and always offered constructive criticism. I felt rewarded every lesson and even on the rough days he was excellent. I wouldn’t have had anyone else to have teaching me and after taking my second test I finally passed. I passed my practical driving test on the first attempt, and I owe it all to my amazing instructor Pauline Jenkinson. She was incredibly friendly and made everything so easy to understand. She always explained what the examiner would be looking for during the test and helped me identify areas where I could improve, giving clear advice on how to do so. The whole experience was fantastic, and I highly recommend her to anyone looking to learn to drive. Thanks to her, I felt confident and well-prepared on test day!

When I pre-booked my 20 hour intensive driving course with Mas back in February, little did I know that by the beginning of May, when my course was due to start, my whole life would be turned upside down by a family crisis! I didn’t know what to do. I was suffering severe anxiety and depression, and I even had to cancel my first four hour lesson which was not a good start. Not to mention the fact that I was getting panic attacks, and was a complete nervous wreck. At the time I had no idea how I was going to pass my test in less than two weeks.

Until I met Mas. He added several extra lessons in his own personal time, which is not a lot if you check his diary! I was given clear instructions on how to prepare for the lessons, and it wasn’t long before I realised I had chosen the right instructor, because Mas really knows what he is doing.
It wasn’t easy, due to my mental state, but with his expert guidance I passed first time!

I bought my first car yesterday, a beautiful BMW. Drove it for the first time all the way from North Norfolk to Colchester with my girlfriend and my 13 year old daughter in the car. It was a gorgeous hot day and the drive of my life…I drove flawlessly with confidence. Well I did stall twice 🤣

I could still hear Mas coaching me in the back of my mind. He is one in a million x
