I cannot fault Mark at all! I’ve been learning to drive with Mark for a little while now, from the off Mark was so friendly which eased any worries I had about learning to drive and also made my lessons enjoyable and comfortable. Mark is patient and incredibly supportive! Mark adapts his approach to teaching you, so you understand and learn in a way that works for you, rather than a standard approach which doesn’t always work. The feedback I had was brilliant, it really motivated me and gave me the confidence to go out in my own car in between our lessons.

I found Mark to be flexible with days and times for lessons as I work shifts, which was really good of him and much appreciated.

Getting a driving test was the tricky part with wait times but Mark always updated me with his availability to ensure I could get on the road at the earliest opportunity.

Mark wasn’t just my driving instructor, he became a friend, I had a brilliant experience, I learned a lot and now I’m on the road! Thank you, for all your help and support. I will definitely miss our catch ups, I’ll be sure to wave when I see you

Very grateful for the time and effort he put in. I was very nervous but he provided videos pictures and diagrams to help me study after lessons and between them so our lessons were purely for driving. He was always on hand to explain things.

Michelle is an amazing driving instructor. She was always patient, supportive and open to explaining things in a way that was easy to visualise and understand. She helped me build my confidence, and supported me when I made mistakes. She taught me not just how to pass the test, but how to become a safe and better driver. If you are looking for an instructor that is kind, patient and knowledgeable, look no further!

My instructor was Jamal Hossain (Jay) in the Colchester area and he was brilliant. Booked a 16 hour crash course with him and passed within the week. He explains everything really well and makes the learning experience an enjoyable one. Highly recommend him.

Just passed my driving test first time with 1 minor thanks to an outstanding intensive driving course under Mas’s instruction 🥳 I am a very very nervous person, but Mas knew exactly how to build up my confidence. He makes the lessons HARD but that is a good thing - it means that when it comes to test day, you are more than ready.

I had a wonderful driving experience with Michelle as my driving instructor. Through her patience, support and excellent teaching expertise, I was able to gain confidence on driving safely and competently. She never pushed me too far out of my comfort zone but nudged me gently enough to make steady progress which led me to pass. I have Mark as my driving instructor and, I passed my driving test with roughly 45+ lessons on my first attempt today with 6 minors. Learning to drive wasn’t easy for me specially when I don’t have a car to practice on my own– I had a lot of ups and downs – but my instructor was supportive, his clear guidance and honest attitude gave me the confidence to keep going, and together we achieved it. I’m so grateful for his dedication and highly recommend Mark to anyone looking for a great driving instructor.

I have over 20 years of driving experience abroad and passed my automatic license in 2016 on the first try. However, I hadn’t driven in the UK since then as I didn’t need to drive in London. With a new job starting in 2025 that required a manual license, I contacted several instructors around Colchester. Mas from Hero Driving was the only one who responded.

At the start, my driving confidence was extremely low. During my first and second lessons, I was even reaching out with my right hand to find the gear stick. Mas quickly corrected my habits and taught me how to drive properly and efficiently.

I failed my first two driving tests with one minor and one major fault each time. However, just two weeks later on my third attempt, I passed with zero faults.

Mas is an incredible instructor. Trust his process, follow his guidance, and you will have your license in no time. I cannot recommend Hero Driving enough to anyone serious about learning to drive the right way.

Today, i passed my driving test with RAJA of hero driving school. I have some worst experience before with my previous driving instructor from another driving school. Raja saved the day. He is absolutely professional, patient and ensures to fine tune your areas of weaknesses. I have been lucky to have him as my instructor and thankful to him for transforming me into a confident driver on the road. I have passed my exam in first attempt and truly enjoyed the entire experience of learning with him. You can really feel his urge and passion to teach you to drive safely and properly. He corrects you in a way that you understand. To hero driving school, thank you! And to Raja, i owe you bigtime!

I started learning with Michelle in June 2024, and she has been an incredibly patient and supportive instructor throughout my learning process. It took me some time to feel confident in controlling the car, but Michelle’s encouraging teaching style made the journey enjoyable. She consistently motivated me to keep driving and never give up.

Michelle is always punctual and professional, which I truly appreciated. Unfortunately, due to changes in my work schedule, I had to stop learning with her. However, I highly recommend Michelle to anyone looking for a skilled and compassionate instructor.
