Awful customer service

Bought the new Honor 200 smart mobile phone but wanted to return it since it is too slow and lags in performance. Bought it straight from their website but by mistake did not log in and made a guest check out which came out as a bad choice.

Honor says that I have to contact their support team to get a return label if a guest checkout was used.

so I try calling them but the number is constantly busy only listen to music, and computer prompt asking email them or press 1 to continue and this computer prompt to press 1 to stay in queue happens every 30 seconds or so .I realize that Honor is being sneaky by making the caller choose to stay in the queue by hitting 1 every other minute or few seconds , else the call disconnects. Call disconnected anyway after about 30 mins. Now I am sending an email to them and looking forward to their response but comments in online forums suggest they don't respond to that either. fingers crossed

Awful experience with the customer…

Awful experience with the customer service, all three our honor phones can't connect to the printer when every other device in the house connects without a problem. The cansultant advise was reset to manufacturer settings which will erase all our data. This will cause us even more pain, I am utterly disappointed and dissatisfied with the honor customer service, they don't care about us. We have bought 9 different honor products in the past year and would expect a better help with the faulty phones. You lost a loyal customer.

Websites states " out of warranty…

Websites states " out of warranty screen replacement for my phone is £153. Small print T&S says that labour charges might be added. I have called customer service to find out more but they couldn't tell me. They advised me to call their repair centre for more info. They couldnt tell me over the phone what their charge for labour either. Sent the phone out and was told its £860. Obviously refused repair. Dont trust their repair prices. Will never purchase from this company again. Its a scam.

These phones are designed to frame and target people, a corrupt company working for sociopaths. Those cameras make deepfakes and the phone can make one feel nauseous, which is i think is a feature, these are devices of mass oppression.

Offensive customer advisory

As much as I would like to write a positive review about the company, customer service and their products, I was unfortunate to experience only customer poor service.
Contacted Honor directly from their global website, as was interested in purchase of one of their latest flagship foldeable phones. Asked simple questions over emails and ended up repeating them but worded differently, only so I can get near enough straight answers. As was unable to get anywhere with my last question about their offer of instalment payment options so baldly advertised on their website, I decided to call them. Asked question "where do I complete purchase with offered 24 interest free monthly instalments if all their payment partners do not support this option"? and been advised that, someone will get back to me. Day after and with no reply, I called again and been told the same. Instead of call back, I got the reply to my original email: "The availability of instalments has an impact on the user's creditworthiness, you could try using family and friends' accounts to try and see if you can help with payments".
WHAT!? How dare you telling me this will have impact on my credit score and I should try rase funds from friends and family!
I want to buy your product with instalments to be sensible with my money, not because I cannot afford it. What a rude, insulting and abrupt way to reply to a person, not to mention a potential customer. How big do you think you are?!
Offended, just left it and gone elsewhere, which wasy second choice and been/am nothing but happy with my choice.
No matter what technological improvement Honor might bring in the future, I will never use their products

Great price to quality. A nice display, the best one for your eyes, very very strong glass, nice build quality great batteries and cameras, maybe the best in the world and a nice chip, a snapdragon 8 gen 3, 512 GB of internal storage and 16 GB of ram for less than 1000$

I suspect their software testing is…

I suspect their software testing is pretty minimal. Each time an update is forced on the phone (Magic 5 Pro) something goes wrong. Some apps won't open, or some open and say you have no internet connection.
I am quite good at reporting errors to manufacturers, but Honor don't acknowledge bug reports and don't seem to try to fix things - the last two updates had exactly the same bugs.
"Support" sets out with the objective of denying any responsibility and try to get you off the phone. The latest tactic was to say it's being escalated; which is exactly the same as I was told a month ago.

0 stars would be much more appropriate but heyho...

I wish I had read those before I purchased my phone. New to android and honor and I wish I had never made the switch. Their warrantee is hopeless and penalised rather than helps customer when their phone are clearly subpar and not functionally viable. They wanted to charge me more than the phone originally cost for a technical repairs which I had been discussing with them for months. My advice would be stay well away and choose another brand of phone. Save yourself the hassle that myself and many it seems ha e experienced.

Honor phones are terrible.

If you want a phone that crashes, freezes and lags..... Then pick Honor. I lost a lot of valuable stuff(to me anyway, despite trying to back up while the phone kept dropping network..... One star is more accurate... Though if you keep the phone at 40% capacity you can survive. Honor did nothing but give lame advice. I am not likely to use this brand again

AVOID HONOR TOTAL WASTE OF MONEY

The true rate for recent experience should be 0.
Avoid purchasing off HONOR in my opinion HORROR would be a more suitable name for this company. Their customer support is good for nothing, really shocking if you call they will hang up and emails are ignored or you're given a bot response you go round and round in circles. I'm now left with a phone that doesn't work it was used for 3 weeks and then had a black screen I have been trying to sort this out for 3 weeks. I have provided all the information they have asked for including proof of purchase serial numbers IME more than 5 times to be sent an email saying they can do nothing to help because I did not purchase directly from their store. This is true but I purchased from a store that deals with HONOR so why at first when going back to the store did HONOR ask the store to provide information so they could exchange the phone using a code or was that to just get the store off the phone? DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY OR TIME AVOID THIS COMPANY!!

Appalling Chinese Company with Total Disregard for UK Consumer Law

My experience with Honor has been nothing short of frustrating and disappointing. I purchased a Honor Magicbook 16 Pro laptop from them less than two years ago, and it developed a major battery fault shortly after the one-year warranty expired. This timing is suspiciously convenient and raises concerns about planned obsolescence, where products are seemingly designed to fail just after the warranty period ends, forcing customers to pay for expensive repairs or replacements.

Despite UK consumer law under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, which provides protection for up to six years for faulty goods, Honor has repeatedly refused to acknowledge their legal obligations. After multiple communications, including a discussion with a representative who assured me my case would be escalated, I have received nothing but dismissive responses citing their one-year warranty policy — which is irrelevant given the clear legal requirements in the UK. Their customer service team completely ignored my requests and failed to respond appropriately, even after I provided clear evidence of the law they are violating.

Having read through other reviews on Trustpilot, I can see that many customers have had similar experiences, and unfortunately, I can confirm that the negative reviews are absolutely true. Honor seems to ignore valid concerns and shows a total disregard for their customers, especially when dealing with issues that occur outside their very limited warranty period.

Due to Honor’s refusal to comply with UK law, I have already initiated a claim through the small claims court to enforce my rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015. I am determined to hold Honor accountable for their disregard of consumer protections, and I would strongly advise others to avoid this company if you expect fair treatment and respect for your legal rights.

Rating: 1/5
Verdict: Avoid Honor if you want reliable customer service and companies that respect consumer law!

Good Hardware, Bad Software, terrible updates

I can't remember when I got my Honor phone. I should have been suspicious when the person in the phone shop said I'd have to change my number because my old sim card wasn't compatible, since day one all I've had is people complaining that they can't hear me properly, which kind of defeats the object of something that's supposed to be a phone. I was assured by someone that the Company were "doing all they can to solve a few technical problems" their solution was a downloadable update which made everything worse. Now, in order to make sure all my apps have been closed properly, I have to restart the phone, the signal quality hasn't changed and a couple of important apps which were working fine mysteriously disappeared after the update. I reinstalled one of the apps, (National Rail Services) and now it doesn't work properly (i.e. You can't check up Train times because the phone screen starts flickering) As soon as my Contract expires in a few months, I will not be getting an Honor Phone. If I was allowed to give a minus Star rating, I would. Terrible phone!
