Great range of choices. Gary, the advisor was very helpful and professional. The blind we ordered was made to measure and now fits perfectly. After sales service is excellent. We thoroughly recommend Hillarys and would not think twice about using them again.

We paid for a fly screen, and paid in full in advance, surveyor came out measured the area, he then said the fitter will come out and double check the measurements, eight weeks later the fitter came out to fit it, It was to short on all sides, so we were told it would be another four weeks, we decided to cancel the order, we were offered £50 discount and then £100 discount to stay with them, but we decided to cancel and go with another company. Hillarys are expensive and the service is so poor.

The window coverings expert, Paul, was friendly, prompt and professional. We are very happy with the service Hillary's provided, and we would definitely recommend the company to others and make Hillary's our first choice when considering any future installations.

Very polite gentleman who came to do the measuring also very patient while I chose the Blinds that I want is and they look fantastic really well fitted I would definitely say to anyone that Hilary’s of the best to have I have had Blinds from other companies and they’ve tried to fit them into the actual window frame, but Hilary’s were great and actually fitted them into the tile rather than into the brand-new windows that I’ve got so delighted service was great from the girls head office just telling me The fitting day so 10 out of 10 really good quality as well. I would definitely recommend them.

Very disappointing service after spending a significant amount of money

We placed a substantial order with Hillarys and, unfortunately, the service since then has been extremely disappointing.

Our fitting was booked for 27th August, and we arranged our plans around that date, including booking annual leave and even paying additional costs to have building work completed more quickly so everything would be ready.

On 18th August, just nine days before the fitting, we were informed that the fabric we had ordered was out of stock and would not be available until 30th August, meaning the order would not be ready for fitting until at least 7th September.

I replied the same day asking when our fitting would now take place and whether Hillarys would consider any goodwill gesture given the inconvenience and additional costs caused.

After receiving no response, I chased again on 20th August.

It is now 30th August and I still haven’t received a response, nor has anybody contacted us to rearrange the fitting.

The initial sales process was very personable, but once the order was placed the level of communication has been incredibly poor. At the moment, we don’t even know when our order is going to be fitted.

We are now seriously considering cancelling the order altogether and requesting a full refund.

For a company of Hillarys’ size, and given the amount of money we have spent, I expected considerably better communication and customer service.

This is the second electric Roman blind we have had fitted and it was due to great service and quality products. From the very start of the process with Chris to the fitting with Peter it has been a great experience. I would recommend these two as thoroughly professional and polite always going that extra mile to keep their customers happy.

Steve was really knowledgable about the products we were looking for, I explained our situation and goals and he was able to respond to these in a no pressure and constructive way. He was extremely patient and kind while we tended to our young children and dog during the appointment and worked with us to achieve our desired look while keeping to budget. Thank you!

Around a year ago we contacted Hilarys in regards to purchasing a pergola. The charming sales lady did her job, she offered a large discount on the day. We were to have a site survey within a week, nobody called, or turned up. We called the company after two weeks requesting a cancellation of the sale. They called back, giving another large discount to continue with the project, which we accepted. There was no survey, the fitters turned up and did a great job, the product was very good too. The company called back with balance required, which we promptly paid, all good. One year down the line, everything is good, apart from Hilarys calling for more money, they say that we owe. Seems a good company, be I'm afraid to say, using, what seems, cowboy, unscrupulous tactics. Therefore I wouldn't recommend this company.

We were lucky enough to be visited by GLIMMERSP 118935 who came out and talked us through a variety of options relating to looking for blind style products that would look good and insulate against cold.
Our advisor was well turned out, polite, humourous, kind, took her time, listened and provided good clear information. We have decided to go ahead with the order which is partially due to the product and partially due to our interaction with our advisor. I am excited to get our shutters fitted.

The installation was completed perfectly by Danny Asper who was also very professional and responded gently to all my questions and concerns regarding the installation.

My most recent electric blind was fitted perfectly and it's a pleasure to use! The patterned fabric of the blind blends in very well with my furniture, as intended.
