Staff are pleasant. Good price on exhaust back box, but I was charged £20.25 by them to ‘inspect’/look at the rest of it. I knew all along there was nothing wrong with it - just the backbox needed replacing. That dont seem right…

Further to their what i consider inaccurate and defensive response they did NOT inform me at all that the inspection would cost £20.25. I was happy with the quote over the phone but had no idea at all the quote would include that charge to essentially just check exhaust is not leaking gasses when running. I knew it wasnt and i also knew it was safe and secure.
I will not return to HIQ again

Gone for some service work with HiQ before, brilliant service then and with my resent MOT I decided to use them again, failing the MOT they were helpful, explained the issue to a novice like me booked me in very quickly for the repair and retest, overall great service.
I will be using them again and will recommend to anyone looking for repair work on there car

I had a flat tyre while on holiday in Plymouth. The team replaced the tyre really quickly. One of them even drove off to get the new tyre. Special thanks to Paul who took the wheel home to repair a crack. Really friendly and efficient service. I've recommended them to my father in law who lives in Plymouth.

Week before managed to book in for a service and mot, 2 tyres and tracking so did have to keep overnight but did call the next day at 0816 saying car was ready so massive thankyou and kudos to all concerned for staying and sorting... Never rush a mechanic! Excellent thorough report easy to read, excellent staff to speak to, see you next year again!

I went to the guys with a DPF issue on my Range Rover after being quoted 000’s from Land Rover, and needed the car back sharpish as we were going abroad. They diagnosed a fault and fixed it and it cost far less than Land Rover, and I had it back in time for my holiday.
HIGHLY RECOMMENDED 👍🏽

I generally have great experiences with this garage even though sometimes it can be pricey.

My engine light came on two days after a full service. It went in for a test. I had no idea it was going to cost £81 pounds. The test came back with a cat failure and I was immediately quoted £750 for a replacement. I asked to see the full report to get a second opinion only to get the answer that's what the code has said from the test. Complete cat failure. I asked about emissions test to confirm and this was quickly washed away ( at this point the engine management light was still on )

I have since been to three garages who have performed emissions testing and it has passed every time. All of which believe its a sensor issue and nothing major or expensive. HIQ love to labour over work and I am starting to believe that's why Labour costs are high. Failing to give me the report I paid for not turning the engine light off and trying to coerce me into paying £750 for cat converter. I have a funny feeling my engine management light would have gone off pretty quickly after that job and it would probably be a sensor issue 🤔 feels like I got off lucky. Don't get me wrong they do a good job and are pretty nice. But they will go out of their way to perform the pricier labour intensive option at the expense of your wallet
