The lady in merry hill store was excellent, beyond and above helpful to find the cd we wanted, didn't get her name but it was the lady who ordered it.

Excellent in store service
Quick delivery to the store. Helpful store assistants sorted out a swap for me to an upgraded turntable and answered questions I had about Bluetooth connections to my existing sound bar, which reassured me I was doing the right thing.

Member of staff was helpful, checking whether the item I wanted was in store, as it wasn’t he checked whether it was available to order. As it was, he proceeded to place the order for me, I paid, and was notified by the store when it was ready for collection by e Mail. Easy !

I ordered 2 Blu Ray discs on line
I ordered 2 Blu Ray discs on line, my chosen store was Merryhill. The page I was viewing informed me 1 disc was in stock at Merryhill, my other disc would have to be ordered. I received an e-mail informing me the disc had arrived at the store, but when I arrived at the store I was told there was only 1 disc there. I attempted to explain what had gone wrong to the manager, but all he wanted to do was talk over me. I asked if I could have this disc posted to me free of charge as a good will gesture to save me another journey. He refused to do this even though none of this was my fault. I thought he was very unhelpful and my view very patronising. Will I use HMV again NO! There's just too much hassle to get a simple thing done. The two customer service people I spoke to on the phone were very polite and helpful.

Store was fine but I had ordered two…
Store was fine but I had ordered two cd’s on one order but when I got home only one was in the package. Scrolled down on the email and saw only one listed then had a separate email for the second disc so had to return to the store to collect. Will know in future but seems an odd way of doing things.
