Preordered the new boards of canada…
Preordered the new boards of canada album so I could listen to it on release day (I even booked the day off). On the Friday it got to around 3pm still no confirmation email that it had arrived. Tang helpline on hold for well over 30 minutes. Was advised I could buy one of the copies in store (you had an abundance of them) but would not get a refund on the preorder (???) so would effectively be paying twice. Eventually got the confirmation email at after 4pm. Very disappointed I asked the customer helpline to raise a complaint as was very unhappy. I have had no response from anyone about this. Really disappointed that was the first and last time I preorder anything from HMV. I preordered so I was confident I would have a copy to listen to on the day not in the evening. Shame, staff in store were friendly but disappointed with your preorder service.

We can only apologise that this was not marked as ready to collect in the morning of the release - we absolutely appreciate that it would be more ideal to have the item first thing - but unfortunately this is not always possible due to circumstances out of our control related to the deliveries.

DVD order
The item I wanted was not available immediately but it was ordered and arrived within 4 days. The staff where very polite and helpful and I am very pleased with my DVD.

Not a happy customer
I went in on the Sunday ,knowing that some people had received their copy.
I was told I couldn’t have it until ‘release day’ then later on , I had an email saying it was ready for collection 🤬

We can see the item ordered was not released until 16/03/26, therefore marked off at the store following closing at 5pm that day to advise you this would be ready for collection upon the Monday morning for the release date.
