I paid £10 more than other online retailers for my limited edition vinyl but supply issues meant it was 12 days late meaning a trip to the city on Christmas Eve. Usually a much better service with HMV.

Delivery by post is VERY SLOW
The man in the shop said delivery by post of the vinyl LP I wanted would usually take two days. It took two weeks.

I went into the Norwich Branch to see…
I went into the Norwich Branch to see if they had a clear vinyl copy of Stone Roses album. After speaking to a very polite young lady there, she looked through all the stock. Then took me over to the till where she ordered a copy, printed all the relevant receipts, emailed me when it was in store. Great service, efficient, polite and very easy . Well done.

Ordered for collect in store service. Item immediately available at the till - no waiting for staff to go off to retrieve package from elsewhere in store. Polite staff member despite it being in Xmas period when store was very busy and all tills open so queuing was minimal too!

Stray kids pop up "event"
Attended a pop up event with my daughter so she could get the new stray kids album this morning. HMV stated online line that the event would start at 10am. We arrived at 0925 and hung around near the KPOP section. 0 signage, 0 advertising of any kind. I asked if the event was still going ahead. I was told yes. They said, "well be selling the album and giving out freebies as first come.first serve." At 0947 a member of staff announced that they had sold out of the album! Then proceeded to wander about with a stack of poster for "pre orders only". All before 10am. My daughter and many many others have been left very disappointed due to what seems to be a massive lack of planning and communication. Very poor effort.

All the DVD'S from here actually work!! Had to find out the hard way that the majority of Amazon dvds do not fit Dvd player or only play in foreign language! Good old HMV!
