I bought a sewing machine from Hobbycraft which within a couple weeks had started showing signs that the whole needle alignment was completely off. Of course I was disappointed but got in contact and... See more

Poor attitude from customer services after their own failure.
Very disappointed as I booked an online class with materials 8 days in advance. I received no communication regarding dispatch of materials. So contacted customer service on the friday - the class being booked for the monday. To ask when I could expect the materials. I was given the tracking number and told they where despatched. When I checked the tracking number in royal mail tracking later friday evening. It showed that the parcel had not been handed over to despite being 'despatched' on Tuesday.
I checked again saturday morning, and there was no change to the statues of the order so I contacted customer services again. Who were very rude in handling the conservation.
Selling children’s toys contaminated…
Selling children’s toys contaminated with asbestos!!! I was only informed by Amazon today — two years after purchasing the product.
What an absolutely terrible company…
What an absolutely terrible company Hobbycraft is (no wonder they are closing stores). Don’t bother paying the extra £7.95 for next day delivery because even when it ordered before 8pm unlike Amazon, next day orders placed on a Friday don’t get delivered next day, they don’t get delivered on the Sunday, if your lucky they may get delivered on the Monday.
Stick with Amazon they have an infinitely larger range of stock and you can have a next day delivery.
Hobbycraft Unproffesional Staff Jacqui
Hello, I reported two a week ago and sent an email on Friday regarding a member of staff in the Hobbycraft, plough lane store called Jacqui the old lady, she seems to have an issue with me which I am begining to think is bordering on racism. She seems to have an issue with me parking my car by the store to collect large items as I shop there on a regular basis and never had a issues with any other staff apart from her.
Twice she refused to serve me and called another staff member to do so. I have never been rude to her but my patience is running thin the last time was Friday just gone I went to buy some paint she was the only one on she was going to serve me then decided not to and was going to serve another lady white lady and I objected as I was in the que. There was others waiting to be served she called another staff member again called Rosie. I said to Rosie this needs to stop and it is bordering on racisim I will resport this she said whe will speak to her. When I called in and the person I spoke to was unhelpful and seemed to condone this unproffessional beaviour by Hobbtcraft staff, I also sent an email to Hobbycraft and I was not responded to and wonder is this how you treat loyal customers staff with attitudes and allowed to get away with such service i find upsetting and unprofesssional. I would have expected Hobbycraft to address my email but it seems her behaviour is condoned.
Disappointing
Really disappointed how they’re dealing with the asbestos incident. I’m worried to death about my kids having been exposed and they’re giving out minimal information.
Companies should be forced to periodically test products meant for children.
Always loved Hobbycraft but alas it’s…
Always loved Hobbycraft but alas it’s gone down hill. Poorly made items cheap looking but still quite expensive. It’s losing its craft side and going more into holiday tat shop.
Despite asbestos from Hobbycraft…
Despite asbestos from Hobbycraft products contaminated my kids craft trays, they gave no assistance on safe decontamination. I have now just binned everything, as you can't take chance with your family health. Be aware there are now three recalls for asbestos contamination products. If you don't realise how dangerous asbestos is, do Google it. Friends have died from this, it is appalling.
Wonderful customer service
Went to my Telford store today and was served by a wonderful lady called Jess .
She found the paints we were looking for and also cut me some fluffy trim .
Here customer service was brilliant and we had a good laugh . Lovely too see such wonderful customer service ,well done Jess you made our day .
Excellent customer support. Highly recommended!
Excellent customer support! I had an issue with a faulty product, and the team made the whole process quick and stress-free. Special thanks to Ali and Amy at the Greenford branch for their calm, professional, and friendly service. Highly recommended!
Company actually sells garbage now
I was released from the hospital last month after going in for a check up from my second spinal operation, which has also affected my muscles and nerves for my arms, legs and back
But have recently started coughing up blood and needed to be kept in for a few days (being unable to drive I had to get lifts but can't anymore as I need to be as still as possible) but before then I wanted to see if there was something in hobby craft for me to do while I don't move my back or legs (I need another MRI for my arms)
But I purchased 2 jigsaws from them, one was £15 and the other £16
However after my mother just opened them to find that hobby craft had resealed and resold (to me) a damaged returned item
She showed me, it looks like a toddler went to town on the pieces, bent and chewed on
Completely unusable
Yet I contact hobby craft and got the most hostile advisor ever
"What's the problem"
"Ah well,"
"Got the receipt?"
"Not on me"
"Bank statement?"
Try to find it on my banking app"
"Bank statement?"
"2 seconds"
"Do you have a bank statement?"
"No but I have proof that I used hobby craft. However the statement won't be ready until next month"
"Then we can't help you, without a receipt or statement"
"Can I speak to a manager"
"No"
I just cut it off then
No wonder this company was bought out, I sincerely hope this company goes bust as they are now actually selling garbage and expecting people to just buy their garbage
Very pleased with the storage good…
Very pleased with the storage good quality and good price
Inaccessible for People with Mobility Issues
I went to look/purchase a knitting pattern. These were on the 1st floor. I had damaged my knee & could not managed stairs. I picked this store, which was 30mins away as it said they had a lift. The lift was not working, with no time frame of when it would be working. I asked if they would be able to bring the knitting patterns downstairs for me to looks at. They said no, there were too many & they weren't in any order. Very disappointing. So I left the store. I won't be going back

Upgraded from cricut joy to explorer 4. Ordered on line no products in-store but arrived quick.
Great range of crafty materials
My daughter and I love creative things so having such a huge range of different mediums to choose from all from one place is great. Their online service is also handy as our nearest one is a good 45 mins drive away so we mostly buy online and the website and buying process are simple to navigate and delivery is swift.
Children's craft containing asbestos
After receiving an email about an item I bought (for my three year.old last year) potentially containing asbestos, I will NEVER use this shop again.
Hobbycraft is a treasure
Hobbycraft is a treasure!
I like to buy online to collect in store if there is an offer on, otherwise I shop in store. I always come out with more than I went in for! I just feel inspired when I am in there!
Disabled access is great, nice wide aisles. Staff are really helpful and knowledgable and genuinally interested in crafts and also in what we make as customers, I love chatting about what I am currently working on.
I've started new crafts thanks to being enticed in store, and it has really helped me bloom creatively!
Poor quality. Overpriced
Staff really helpful. I wanted to buy some felt for toy making but the quality of the felt was appalling - almost see through. I also wanted some chicken wire but it was wildly overpriced like their art materials. It’s worrying that a big chain like this can cause the demise of small craft shops and gain a monopoly , over charging and indifferent to quality.

Hobbycraft often have good deals and are very competitive. Their store staff are always very pleasant and helpful.
Absoutely Appalled.
Absolutely livid after the recall of the craft box with asbestos in the sand. I have exposed my granddaughter to potential health hazards because of negligence on this companys behalf. Its far too late to rectify this since it was a few years ago. What will it do long term?. How will it affect her health in the future. This is a criminal act exposing young children to such hazards . This company should be held accountable as it is obvious with such a long time scale that this was known some time ago. A very angry grandmother.
Fabulous item at affordable price
