I'm a meter reader, which means I walk about 10-12 miles a day. I was really surprised that I didn't need to break in these shoes.
There's some chaff at the toes, but it's nothing too bad after eight hours working. I won't know about the safety side until things go wrong, of course, but so far looks like I've made a good buy.

product [gte 1000] is good value, but has design faults that could be rectified at no cost, [1] cable exits the motor at worst place to cause damage when resting machine, [2] the press button method of securing tubes (2parts together) is flimsy and awkward,
