I have owned many pairs of Hoka shoes, and the Gaviota 5 shoes in widest size (don't like the Gaviota 6 as much) are my favorite so far. I have very wide feet with lots of foot splay, so I need sh... See more

Well Hoka is no longer the company it once was. I have owned a number of your shoes over the years and I've NEVER had an issue with a warranty until now. These particular boots that were purchased were purchased to walk around the inside of a climate controlled hospital to patrol. I do security for a local hospital on the side 2-3 days a week. My main job is I'm a trail specialist for a local county in Arizona. All of my work shoes for the county are hokas as well. I deal with hiking groups on a regular basis, general hikers, Mountain bikers, trail runners and what not. I will be sure to let everybody know Hoka is not who they used to be. I will tell everyone this story. I will put it on social media and everywhere I can to let people know that you denied a basic warranty claim for a defect. The side stared separating. They claimed it's normal wear it damage I did... Lol. First off how can you tell from pictures without even asking to see the boot and inspecting it. You see the separation. I wish I could post the pictures here. And second they were purchased in December of 2025. Normal wear only wearing the boot approximately 3 months , 2-3 days a week at a side job... Lol. If you look at the soles they still look brand new. Total BS. Just someone being lazy.
I will never purchase another product from your company again and I will do my best to make sure nobody I come in contact with in life. Will either. You lost a very loyal customer. You have no idea how aggravated I am right now and how much I'm willing to do to steer people away from your company. I wish you the best and you could shove your products up your Bumm!!!
Update 05/07/2026
I've heard nothing from their US warranty team in reply. That says a lot without saying nothing. And this review was sent directly to the denial email I received from them... Nice
Update as of 05/11
The Hoka EU team stepped up and made this right. They got the warranty reviewed and my boys are being replaced. Kudos to them and the company doing the right thing. Which dies make me happy. Their shoes are very comfortable. Thank you again

I was there on Sunday at Hoka store in Covent Garden and purchased a pair of trainers. It was the first time buying this brand of shoes, but Riley made it extremely easy to chose the right kind of shoes. I wear AFOs to walk, and Riley made some really good suggestions and there i was, showing off my first Hoka shoes after spending almost an hour in the shop.
Thank you Riley for making this a wonderful experience.

I spent a ton of time researching running shoes before buying my first pair of HOKAs. After hearing so many great things about the company, I finally decided to spend nearly $180 of my hard-earned money on a pair while traveling in Florida.
Less than two months later, the soles began separating during normal use.
I submitted a warranty claim, provided photos, and even tracked down proof of purchase from the store I bought them from while on vacation. The store, Bealls Florida, is a large retail chain that sells authentic HOKA shoes at full retail price. Despite that, HOKA denied the claim because Bealls is apparently not considered an “authorized retailer.”
What’s disappointing is that nobody disputed the shoes were authentic. Nobody disputed the defect. The warranty was denied purely because of where they were purchased.
As a customer, that feels incredibly frustrating. The quality of a product shouldn’t suddenly change based on which legitimate retail store sold it. I specifically chose HOKA because of the brand’s reputation for quality and customer support, and this experience completely changed my perception of the company.
Honestly, it sucks because I actually really liked the shoes otherwise. If the company had stood behind the product, I probably would have been a lifelong customer and recommended them to everyone. Instead, this experience has ensured I’ll never purchase another pair of HOKAs again.
If you decide to purchase a pair of HOKAs, you’ll probably be happy with the product itself. Just make absolutely sure you buy them from a retailer HOKA considers “authorized,” otherwise, don’t expect them to stand behind the product if something goes wrong. In my experience, they’ll hang you out to dry.
Really disappointing experience overall.

DPD delivered to wrong address. Called DPD told will try and collect and re-deliver today, told if I don't hear anything to contact Hoka.
Contact customer service, get AI agent response, told to submit a form for an investigation.
Was going to order another pair while this gets sorted out, typically - none of the ones left in stock.
Horrible first experience of buying Hoka.

Excellent and hassle free from purchase to delivery. Communication first class from Hoka and DPD. Thank you

Woefully slow delivery time and no meaningful customer service contact details. If I’d known in advance it was going to take almost a week I wouldn’t have bothered.

Great website, huge choice, easy to choose and buy. Reliable, quick delivery with DPD.

I ordered a pair of shoes from HOKA. Their courier DPD falsely marked my parcel as delivered when it was not. HOKA’s customer service has been unhelpful and difficult to reach. I have sent a formal complaint email and am still waiting for a resolution. As a customer I am protected under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 and expect a full replacement or refund urgently.

Your courier was amazing this morning. The slot was between 10:50 am to 2:50 pm on the 6/5/26 and delivered about 10:20, well done.

Hi everyone just wanted to write a review on Hoka shoes. I bought these in May last year and did not wear them all winter. This is my second spring and they cannot be wear anymore, they are peeling and I can now feel stone stabbing me ! Like everyone knows these are not cheap shoes I paid 170$ on sale only to have them for walking 45 min a day for one spring and one summer ! Running room where I bought said contact Hoka company and they just said you pass your warranty of 1 yr my purchase date was May 4 2025 and needed to be delivered, so I got them after May 4 cause there was none in the store . Today is May 5 2026 I absolutely don’t recommend this bran, the shoes and the company are SHITTY!

I have been buying Hoka shoes for a few years and last week I encouraged my wife to purchase a pair also.
I purchased them in separate orders online on the Hoka website.
During the first purchase (in return for giving my contact details) I was promised 10% off my next purchase. The email I received said "you have unlocked 10% off".
The second purchase did not allow for this discount to be applied and when I subsequently contacted Hoka I received an email saying they could do nothing about it,they advised I should return the shoes and purchase again and perhaps it would work this time.
I like their shoes but I will look elsewhere the next time.

DPD keeps returning the shoes and no reason is being provided.
I was provided a free next day delivery code but was then not able to use it in conjuction with my new customer discount.
I am trying for the third and last time now, but if I won't receive them before the weekend I will not consider this brand again and warn everyone I know about their unreliable delivery methods.

Appalling customer service, have not refunded or provided trainers!
Purchased two pairs of trainers but received the wrong item so returned. Hoka have advised they will not refund the incorrect order as it does not correspond to the order. I’ve advised I have returned what they sent me but they have said they cannot refund. They haven’t listed to the fact that I’ve returned what they sent. Neither have they delivered the correct item!
Wish I had read the review of their awful customer service as seems to be a common problem. Now understandable why they have such a low rating.
Absolutely awful organisation to deal with.

Bought a very expensive pair of Hoka Tecton X3 trail running shoes. After two 7 mile rail trail runs I wore them on the first actual trail run. My toe drug against a root and tore a gaping hole, maybe the size of a quarter. The toe of the shoe is like tissue paper. Very low durability.
To add insult to injury, I jumped through the warranty hoops hoping they would somehow help me out given the extreme price versus poor quality of the shoe. They didn’t even have the courtesy or respect to reply to my inquiry.

Comfortable shoes but quality isn't good. Shoes started falling apart 6 months in. My warranty claim was denied for "normal wear and tear." I guess it means the shoes normally fall apart rather quickly.

While I LOVE Hoka waterproof sneakers for women, I have been unsuccessful in reordering another pair of Hoka Waterproof Challenger GTX women's shoes. They keep refusing my payment option which is one I've used successfully in former purchases. When I called to ask the problem to discusss the problem, the service rep told me she had no information as to why my payment method was rejected. I even had a family member with a different card try to order and was declined. I simply want to rectify the problem and there seems no way to contact someone higher up the ladder with whom to discuss this matter. So frustrating.
