Brilliant service!!!

Brilliant service, I contacted the team at Holmes apparel requesting a speedy delivery due to special circumstances relating to my brothers birthday. The team responded to me promptly and said they’d do what they could to ensure I received the item in time. I received the jumper, my brother absolutely loved it! I really appreciated the company going above and beyond to help me get the gift in time. I will for sure be ordered again, very soon!

Faulty item

I recently purchased a puffer jacket as a birthday gift in advance of the birthday date. As a result the gift was not opened within the time window for an exchange or refund. However, once opened the coat did not look like the image on the website. The sleeves were completely out of shape, either from how the item has been packed or stored. I accept that I was out of the refund and exchange window but the reply I received was that was how the garment should look which is completely false. If you want to spend money on this site then my suggestion would be don't rely on the images on the website. I won't be buying again.

Hi Jo,
This order was placed on the 28th of January, and delivered on the 31st of Jan. We did not hear anything from this customer until the 19th of March. Upon which, the customer stated that the jacket was misleading and faulty pointing out the sleeves, and attached pictures which demonstrated no fault what so ever. I then pointed out that the customer was way out of our return policy (which is completely within accordance with the consumer rights act) and that the jacket was not faulty, it was just the style of the jacket.

The customer persisted to state the jacket was faulty and even that our pictures were misleading. Unfortunately, this also made no sense as the picture displayed on the website was of the one the customer received.

To summarise, the jacket was not faulty it was just the customer’s preference, which would have been absolutely fine if the customer had not waited almost 2 months to notify us and attempt to make a return. In future I suggest contacting retailers within their return policy window. I’m still unsure how you not liking a jacket and waiting almost 2 months to tell us constitutes to such a low review.

Hi there,
as explained via our email replies Royal Mail (our delivery partner) are currently experiencing regular striking action which has created a major backlog at what is already an incredibly busy time. Therefore, causing delays in certain parts of the country which are beyond our control.

We shipped the item out the following working day from purchase with the shipping selected by the customer at checkout. Unfortunately, there is absolutely nothing we can do to speed up Royal Mail despite how frustrating it may be.

We have made sure to communicate with you and update you on this situation throughout.

All delayed parcels have now started to move as can be seen on the tracking and we’d expect it to be with you in the next few days. Again we’d like to extend our sincere apologies for the delay.
