Homebase - Branksome Reviews 

Went in this morning for plants and compost. Staff always very nice,I asked the cashier for someone to put compost in boot as I,m not allowed to lift at the moment and my husband is disabled. Very quickly a very young man arrived,he was so nice and so helpful he also offered to push my trolley,put everything carefully in the boot, couldn't do enough to help. He didn't realise it but he really made my day. Unfortunately I forgot to take his name. But he really deserves a brilliant mention

Web site fairly easy to navigate and delivery was good.

Ordering etc easy as was pick up. However the girl at customer services could not have looked less interested in serving us and barely looked up from her phone to help us. Poor customer service from her, possibly needs some training in how to work with people in retail environment?

Click and collect is so easy and so convenient my order was all ready for me to collect very friendly staff greeted with a smile such wounderful helpful staff thankyou Homebase

My ironing board collapsed and my iron blew up when I plugged it in... so I logged on to Homebase website. Selected my items which were in stock and available to collect within 30 mins. An extra bonus at the checkout was a 15% discount.
Within 45 mins I'm back at home and able to iron my clothes for the day !!

Staff quite young but extremely helpful and pleasent.

We did a click and collect as the delivery would not come in time. I specifically asked a Homebase representative if it would fit in a polo car with the seat down , she assured me it would!! However there is no way it would fit in a car. So my daughter was left waiting while I had to borrow a van to collect the item, and it only just went in that! Bearing mind I live 40 miles away!
. Please can staff be more on the ball with this kind of thing. Can the box dimensions be clearly marked also.

After spending a lot of time looking for the right lawnmower to suite me, I found the Homebase 40 cm battery model with everything, considerably cheaper than the competition. I was informed when it would be delivered which was updated several times with the progress until it was delivered the next day. Following assembly and charging the batteries I mowed my lawn which is about 100 square metres very quickly. As instructed I checked the remaining charge in the batteries and was to amazed to find one was 86% and the other 87%. The lawn looked lovely including stripes.

Visited store at Branksome pleased with the new open plan look although things had been from locations I remembered from my previous visits.
I was eagerly shown to the shelf I desired and obtained my product
Met at the checkout with a friendly smile from Julia.

item i ordered was ready for collection ,i received notification before i went to collect,i also bought a toilet seat that was unsuitable,so returned it,counter staff very helpful,and my refund was in my account within 24 hours

Exceptional customer service

Staff are always helpful, yesterday and not for the first time someone went out of their way. John on this occasion gets the gold star.

Ellis was really helpful and his years as a kitchen fitter previously really helped the process. He has really made the whole transaction very smooth.

Click and Collect Service was great. Booked at 7am on a Bank Holiday Monday and collected as soon as the Store was open.

After having my lounge and kitchen Plastered, I decided to have a bash at decorating myself for the first time in my life. I wandered into homebase a couple of weeks ago without a clue and full of enthusiasm. I wandered the aisles and honestly didn't have a clue.
It obviously showed as a very nice man called Terry (It may have been Jerry, I'm sorry If it's wrong!) Asked if I needed help.
Basically, long story short. I Badgered him senseless and he pretty much gave me a decorating lesson.
He explained all about giving a mist coat (I thought you just slapped it on) to my new plaster, told me which paint he would personally use for the kitchen that would be wipeable, and even told me which rollers and brushes to use without breaking the bank. Told me not to panic, take my time, be patient and give it time to dry between coats.
Two weeks later and its finally done, and I'm so happy. Never thought I'd be able to do it.

This experience has been completely overshadowed by a £60 fine I incurred when I visited the store to try out various chairs and take pictures for my housebound husband to see and agree before ordering. I didn't even know there was a time limit. Apparently it was introduced quite a few months back but since the lock-downs I have shopped mainly online. I did not want to buy a chair without trying it first.
I don't think I shall shop there again.

Shopping was easy, items were available for collection really quickly. One item not available was replaced with a better alternative. Staff at collection were very helpful and friendly.

I visited the garden centre of your Branksome store. Very disappointing. Many items did not have a price tag on the item or on the shelf. I saw a wooden planter that I liked but no price. I wanted a half barrel planter but, again, no price on them. I bought two ceramic pots on a "buy one, get one half price" offer but when I went to pay for them the multibuy discount did not come up. A supervisor had to be called who then wandered off to check the prices. In the mean time, the queue at the checkout was getting longer and longer. What's happened to Homebase lately? Poor experience all round. Wont bother to shop there again.

Easy to order and no delays when I picked it up.
