Item available for collection well in advance of quoted 1 hour. Very convenient that I knew item was in stock saving me from hunting shelves. Item was competitively priced. Staff very helpful.

Great customer service from Rebecca
Great customer service from Rebecca. Very helpful and friendly which is so rare in retail these days.
Affordable and helpful
I phoned up to ask if they had a certain wallpaper in stock and Justin was very helpful. He checked the stock for me and put the rolls aside for me so that I could go and pick them up. When I went to the store, Rebecca was on the till and she went to get the paper for me. When I asked about the 20% off wallpaper that was being offered online, she called to ask, and Justin came and they were able to give me the discount. Both of them were very kind.
The same wallpaper is sold from B&Q for £2 more, so between the lower price and the discount, I saved almost £20 shopping at Homebase. Thank you!
Brandon was helpful.
Brandon saw I was struggling to find what I was looking for. He was polite and very helpful. Found what I was looking for. I would not found the items and would have given up if he hadn’t helped.
Wonderful, friendly service
Monika noticed I seemed to be struggling to find what I needed so without me asking she offered help. She then spent time with me, showing interest in my project and helping me to find a good match. She was extremely friendly, well mannered and respectful and I will not forget the lovely experience I had shopping at Homebase today.

Good service
Took my item to checkout and found that I had forgotten my wallet." No problems I'll keep it for you till you return " said Rebecca, with a smile. Returned and she retrieved the item.
Having spent too much of my life…
Having spent too much of my life wandering around DIY shops looking for a staff member to help me find what I am looking for, I was recently delighted to receive the very able and personable assistance of Brandon at the Dunfermline branch of Homebase, who quickly found the obscure screw fixing I needed. Good customer service ....many thanks

Visited Dunfermline store on Sunday to sort out a colour mismatch issue with Keter Storage. Manager was extremely helpful and friendly and even got Brandon to carry unit out to the car for me. Excellent service for a problem caused in part by their own systems not allowing online ordering (I think due to obsolescence of item).

The ordering was easy
The ordering was easy. But, collection was really horrible. I arrived at the store and the rain was belting down. I carried my heavy baby (now 12kg) into the store and arrived at the information desk (the same place I always go when I click and collect). I would have collected a trolley en route but, they were soaking wet so, I contemplated and decided my items would probably be in a dry trolley anyway so proceeded.
The woman at the desk saw me arrive and left the desk to busy herself somewhere else. When she returned some minutes later, I said politely "I have a click and collect to collect". She abruptly directed me to the other end of the checkouts. Then, some minutes later, she came over and asked for my name. I said "van Beusekom" and she looked at me blankly so I repeated my name. She rolled her eyes and asked (again rather abruptly) "what's in your order?" I told her a couple of the items (the plywood and inaboxes) and she left me there while she went to look in the cupboard. She returned with my plywood by hand, placed it upright against something, put the inboxes on the desk in front of me together with the non-slip matting stuff. She said "what's the last 4 digits of your order number?". I tried to quickly find my order number but, I obviously wasn't quick enough for her as her eyes were rolling again. I had to put my phone on the table as my baby was getting even heavier by now.
She turned my phone to scroll through the numerous messages received from homebase. Thereafter, she pulled the desk toward herself indicating that I should now proceed to take my baby, the plywood, boxes, and two rolls of non slip matting.
I abruptly said I would have to go outside to collect a trolley as I clearly wasn't going to be able to carry all the stuff and my baby. I walked away but, in all honesty, I was raging with disgust. How undignified. I should not have been treated like that!
In all fairness, upon my return to the store with a very wet trolley, another, very nice member of staff wiped down the seat so my baby didn't have to sit in the puddle of a seat. She was lovely. And another member of staff brought my items over. So, they recovered it well but, that first lady that I encountered really made me feel like I was worthless.
I am very used to doing things myself but, I didn't deserve that. I don't know what happened when I left the store to collect the trolley and why the other members of staff came to my rescue. Whether they took the liberty themselves or whether they were asked to assist by the first lady, I do not know. But, it's only thanks to their kindness that I would come back.
